Analysis of the Architectural Design Talent Development Direction by Investigating the Employment Status of Architectural Design Graduates

Based on a comprehensive investigation of the employment status of architectural design graduates at a certain university,this paper analyzes the correctness of the talent development direction of architectural design in hopes of pro-viding a valuable reference for further teaching reform and strengthening school-enterprise collaboration.The research re-sults show that architectural design is the main choice of graduates,accounting for as high as 63%,and traditional architec-tural design skills continue to be in demand in the market.Employment in fields such as interior design,BIM design,and green architecture is also included.The distribution of job positions for graduates is mainly in the areas of scheme design assistants and construction drawing design,requiring software operation,communication,scheme design,and construction drawing skills.This paper also proposes talent development measures such as optimizing the curriculum,strengthening faculty construction,and deepening school-enterprise collaboration,in order to improve the quality of talent development and the competitiveness of graduates.

Preliminary Discussion on Application of “3W” Teaching Method in Architectural Design Course

Architectural design course is the main course of architecture major.“Master-apprentice” guidance is the main mode of architectural design course teaching.How to teach between teachers and apprentices? Architectural design teachers in different colleges and universities do not have a unified approach,which easily leads to confusion in teaching.This study put forward “ 3W ” teaching method,and made a preliminary discussion on its concept,structure and application.“ 3W ” method is a method that the architectural design instructor uses three progressive questions to guide the whole process of architectural design.Through a detailed discussion of the three questions,it showed that this method was a building design guiding method with simple operation,easy grasp and adaptability.

Application of Flipped Classroom in Architectural Design Course of Architecture Discipline

Through the study of the teaching reform design of the course in Architecture Design using the flipped classroom,this paper discussed the effectiveness of the information-based teaching method for students’ learning. It integrated the flipped classroom into all aspects of Architectural Design teaching. By using the flipped classroom,it is expected to effectively solve the problems related to the traditional Architectural Design teaching,enhance the students’ participation in the teaching process,create a learning atmosphere for students,enhance the initiative of self-learning,and promote the improvement in the quality of Architectural Design teaching.

Bottom-Up Teaching Reformation for the Undergraduate Course of Computer Organization and Architecture

According to the building requirements of “China’s double first class” discipline, traditional computer organization and architecture (COA) course has new challenges including various course expectations and the limited teaching hours. Considering the hierarchy feature of COA, a bottom-up teaching mode is adopted in teaching reformation to meet the challenges. In this paper, details about COA teaching reforms were shown from aspects of teaching contents, teaching methods, handson assignments, and examination methods. These reform experience will benefit teachers who embark on courses related to computer hardware.

Reform and Practice of Talent Training of Architectural Interior Design Professionals in Higher Vocational Skills Competition: Taking Chongqing Energy Vocational College as an Example

Improving Classroom Teaching Quality of Architectural CAD Through the Integration of Competition Content

Architectural Computer-Aided Design(CAD)is a highly technical and practical course and is also a course where its knowledge can be directly applied in the working field,which is especially important for higher vocational students majoring in architecture.In order to improve the teaching quality of this course,this paper proposes the integration of competition content into teaching under the based on the original syllabus.Therefore,the content of the“Reading and Drafting of Construction Drawings”competition is integrated into the teaching of this course,so as to realize the balanced development of teaching and competition,enhance students’professional skills and practical ability,and help students adapt to the development of the industry.With that,the goal of personnel training in higher vocational colleges can be achieved.

Appropriate teaching and learning strategies for the architectural design process in pedagogic design studios

The national qualification framework of a country requires a certain level of knowledge and complexity of skills for an academic degree to be recognized. For architectural programs, student workload is heavy on design courses. Therefore, each course must be carefully developed to ensure that students are not overloaded. Teaching and learning strategies have different implications for courses, which occasionally result in overloading the students. This research aims to study the three main pillars of teaching and [earning strategies for each design phase in pedagogic design studios. The most appropriate model for each teaching and [earning strategy, including a set of the three main pillars, is then identified for each design phase. A practical strategy for managing design studios is also determined. The aforementioned three pillars are as follows： teaching and learning methods, assigned tasks or study aspects, and design communication techniques. Two research methods, namely, a literature review and a survey among design educators, are adopted. The literature review examines aspects that contribute to the design process and its phases, teaching methods, design skills, communication methods, and studio management strategies. On the basis of the literature review, the background of developments and practices in the design education process are used as constructive tools to develop the survey for design educators. Through the survey, the pillars of teaching and [earning strategies that are frequently practiced in design studios are evaluated. Results of this study are classified into three ranks using the nature break classification method for numerical values. Subsequently, three priority models that correspond to teaching and learning strategies, as welt as to the required skills and capabilities, are established. A group-based strategy with an interdisciplinary approach is also determined to be the most suitable technique for managing the pedagogy of architectural design studios to achieve holistic designs.

What can be taught in architectural design?—parti,poché,and felt qualities

This essay begins with a reflection on what has been taught in architectural design since the turn of the twentieth century.I shall trace back to the two disciplinary foundations of the FrenchÉcole des Beaux-Arts-parti and poché-in the education of an architect in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.I shall then attempt to superimpose parti and pochéon a modern disciplinary framework,say that of mathematics,which leads to musings on a series of architectural problems that include pattern versus type,stability versus mobility,orthogonal versus oblique,confinement versus transparency,and aging versus metallic sheen.These paradoxes,I suggest,demand the education of an architect to address both the instrumental pattern of a building configuration and the ambient felt qualities of a room,rather than vision alone.

Teaching Reform and Practice of the Preliminary Course of Landscape Architecure Design

Since landscape architecture became the first-level discipline in 2011, its connotation and extension have been greatly expanded, and the discipline has been in the reform and transformation period. Cultivation of the top-notch compound innovative talents has been the key point of the teaching reform. Northeast Forestry University made a newround talent cultivation scheme in 2014, preliminary courses of landscape architecture design took this as the opportunity to launch the teaching reform, and tried to explore an innovation-oriented cultivation mode of compound talents from the perspectives of cultivation objective, teaching content, teaching method and so on.

Research on the Integral Practical and Aesthetic Design Teaching of Architecture and Site Environment -Taking Kindergarten Architecture and Site Logic Model Teaching Approach as an Example

The integral practical and aesthetic design teaching of architecture and site environment is expected to deal with the junior-grade design teaching in architecture major with a current situation that the insufficient consideration of the site environment and the chaotic city image, which caused by long-term emphasis on single function and personality performance of architecture. The key to the integral practicability and aesthetics is the emphasis on the integrality of spatial logical order of those two factors, which contains the integral harmony of function attributes, scale, logics, and modal relationships and so on. Combine with the teaching of kindergarten architecture design, using architecture and site logic model teaching methodology, through the extraction cognitive teaching approach of the site environment order logics, the cognitive teaching approach of kindergarten architecture spatial logics, the strategic teaching approach of the congruent design of the integral order of architecture and site environment logics, module and model congruent counterpoint design teaching approach of architecture and large site environment order logics, organization and construction integrated design teaching approach of architecture and small site environment spatial logics, and result design teaching approach of architectures integrated into the landscape of large site environment and their surrounding small site environment and other teaching procedures to complete die teaching tasks of the integral practical and aesthetic design of kindergarten architecture and site environment.

从链条到生态——浙江大学建筑学系的数字化课程体系改革

随着人工智能等新兴科技带来的挑战,数字建筑教学的系统性及其与传统设计教学的关联性日益凸显。浙大建筑学系自2021年起,实行了以数字建筑课程生态建设为核心的一流本科课程综合改革,主要针对数字建筑课程的递进式教学内容,并强调其对传统设计教育中理性思维的辅助及延伸作用,形成了纵向完整的课程链,并横向与核心设计课程产生有效关联,初具成效。在此背景下,文章总结并探讨了该课程体系建设的核心理念、内容结构框架及课程间的关联性。

基于PBL模式的环境心理学教学改革实践

环境心理学是以解决实际问题为导向的设计理论课程,其教学改革对提升风景园林专业总体教学效果具有重要意义。该教改项目基于PBL模式,通过学科发展动态梳理环境心理学的主要教学内容,从“退缩行为”“前进行为”“定位行为”“延伸行为”四种类型入手,结合体验型、探索型两种问题进行问题体系设计,并通过设计课程的联动将理论运用于实践。经过三年的教学改革,课程教学取得了良好的教学以及学习效果。

OBE+CDIO理念的园林专业实践教学体系研究与探索

以园林专业就业与实践教学环节中的实际问题为导向,将课程目标与学生就业需求相结合,依托行业资源共建专业教学资源平台。将CDIO理念分解到实践教学体系中,建立适应园林专业教育需求“以点串线、以线带面、以面连体”的互联互通,渐进共融式的新型教学模式。该模式的实施,实现了对实践教学模式的系统性改革,包括梳理了人才培养方案、优化了实践教学内容、更新了实践教学理念,并强调了学生学习自主性的教学目的,从而提升了学生的综合素质和就业竞争力。

“园林综合实训”课程“项目沉浸式”教学改革实践——2022年风景园林学科调整之后的思考

“园林综合实训”课程不仅是风景园林专业本科教学重要的实践类课程,也是学生在走入社会前对专业综合技能的一次重要的检验和热身。现基于目前学科和行业发展中面临的新问题和新需求重新梳理课程的培养目标;基于“沉浸式教学”理念,对课程教学内容和教学进度安排进行改革优化,并采用校园实际场地营建项目的模式进行教学实践;通过分阶段介绍实训教学环节内容和要点,总结教学改革的成效与不足,提出进一步的改进措施,为提升综合实训课程教学效果和风景园林专业教学改革提供参考与借鉴。

问题研究型建筑设计教学研究与实践

转型时期要求建筑教育必须采用创新教育方法,培养学生创新性设计思维。以问题为导向的研究型建筑设计教学,是对转型时期建筑教育的很好回应。它突出研究的重要性,教与学的关系从知识和技能的单向传输转向基于研究的双向交流和共同探索,实现“在研究中学”。教学中问题成为研究主题,设计则成为研究载体。提出问题研究型建筑设计教学的教学理念、研究问题、研究过程、教学形式及教学评价,试图探索建筑学专业教育改革的新方向。
