THE SOLID STATE ALDOL CONDENSATION REACTION OF ACETYLFERROCENE AND AROMATIC ALDEHYDES

The aldol condensation reactions of acetylferrocene with several aromatic aldehydes have been studied in the solid state.The results showed that they revealed different reactivities in the solid slate from that in solution and eight compounds have been prepared. Their structures have been characterized by UV,IR,1~HNMR,HS and elemental analysis.

THE REACTION OF AROMATIC ALDEHYDES WITH p-NITROBENZYLLIBUTYLTELLURONIUM BROMIDE BY PHASE TRANSFER CATALYSIS

Under the condition of solid-liquid phase transfer catalysis, olefins were obtained by the reaction of p-nitrobenzyldibutyltelluronium bromide with aromatic aldehyde.Under the condition of liquid-liquid phase transfer catalysis,however,different products were obtained due to the reactivity of different bases or aldehydes.

Production of Superoxide Ion with Carbon Gas-Diffusion-Electrode And Reaction of Superoxide Ion with Aromatic Halide

Superoxide ion O^-_2 is prepared in aprotic media by carbon gas-diffusion-electrode for the first time. The experimental results indicate that this electrode is superior to carbon plane-electrode in the reaction of O^-_2 with p-bromonitrobenzene. When the gas-diffussion-electrode is used, the yield of the product nitrophenol increases by 20%, and the selectivity of the reaction is nearly doubled as compared with the plane-electrode.

Construction of monodispersed single-crystalline hierarchical ZSM-5 nanosheets via anisotropic etching

Hierarchical zeolites and single-crystalline zeolite nanosheets(NSs)have been recognized as two separate types of targeting porous materials to overcome the diffusion limitations of traditional bulk zeolites.The synthesis of uniform single-crystalline hierarchical zeolite NSs featured with NS morphology and interconnected mesoporosity,remains rarely reported.In this work,we prepared ZSM-5 zeolites with the above microstructural features via simple alkaline etching.Moreover,both their microstructure and acid strength could be accurately tuned with this approach,resulting in not only higher conversion rate and BTX selectivity but also superior anti-coking performance in the subsequent methanol aromatization reaction.

Synthesis of an electron-rich aniline-containing dye and its dyeing behaviors on silk through a three-component Mannich-type reaction

Under the guidance of the finding that the tyrosine residues in proteins could undergo three-component Mannich-type reactions with formaldehyde and electron-rich aniline-containing compounds,which forms covalent bonding connections between the protein of interest and the aniline with high levels of selectivity under relatively mild conditions,an orange aromatic primary amine-containing acid dye AMODB was designed and readily synthesized.The molecular structure was characterized by FTIR,^1H NMR,mass spectrometry and elemental analysis.The synthesized dye and a similar control dye（C.I.Acid Yellow 11） without primary amine groups were applied to dye silk fabric by three dyeing processes：Mannich-type dyeing（with and without the addition of formaldehyde） and acidic dyeing.Their washing and rubbing fastness properties with different dyeing methods were examined and compared.It was found that the dyed silk fabric with AMODB by the Mannich-type dyeing showed higher color depth,better anti-stripping ability to DMF and better washing fastness than those of the dyed silk fabric with C.I.Acid Yellow 11 by acidic dyeing due to the covalent bond formation between the dye chromophore of AMODB and silk fiber.In addition,mild Mannich dyeing conditions suitable for silk（AMODB at 3%owf,75：1 liquor-to-goods ratio,dyebath pH 5.5,30℃,10 h） were provided.

An unusual substitution reaction of an aromatic sulfonic group based on 3-carbonyl-4-phenolsulfonic acid

An unusual substitution reaction of an aromatic sulfonic group based on 3-carbonyl-4-phenolsulfonic acid was discovered in a diazo-coupling process. The reaction occurred under mild reaction conditions （pH 8.0-9.0, 0-5 ℃, solvent： water） within a short reaction time （1 h）. A plausible substitution reaction mechanism by phenol-ketone resonance was proposed.

1,3-Dinitro-2-chloro-5-trifluorotoluene and its bridged derivatives Ⅰ.An investigation on the displacement reactions of bidentate nucleophiles towards aromatic rings

The reactions of 1,3-dinitro-2-chloro-5-trifluorotoluene(DNCTT)(1)and its bridged com- pounds with bidentate nucleophiles have been investigated.Primary or secondary diamines and diethylene glycol react with 1 and its bridged derivatives by replacing the substituent grouppara to CF_3, whereas ethanedithiol reacts either by replacing the substituent group para to CF_3 or by displacing both groups and a nitro group.The results have been rationalized in terms of electronic effects and nucleophilicity of the nucleophiles.

Facile, one-pot synthesis of new phenanthridine derivatives through 1,4-dipolar cycloaddition of phenantridine, activated acetylenes, and aromatic aldehydes

A facile, one-pot synthesis of new phenanthridine derivatives by a three-component reaction between phenantridine, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates（DAADs）, and aromatic aldehydes is described. The reaction is characterized by mild conditions, high selectivity, and tolerance to various functional groups.
