Analysis of the Innovative Path of History Teaching from an Artistic Perspective

This paper discusses the innovative ways of history teaching in depth from the unique perspective of art.By analyzing how artistic elements can effectively enrich teaching means and contents,it reveals the important value of art in history teaching for the improvement of students’comprehensive literacy and further explores the role of art in promoting the modern transformation of history education.At the same time,the article also focuses on the challenges faced in practice,such as the lack of artistic qualities among teachers,the difficulties in integrating art and history,and the differences in students’acceptance.To cope with these challenges,the article proposes specific implementation strategies,including the integration of diversified art resources,innovative teaching methods and approaches,and the construction of a scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanism,aiming to comprehensively optimize the effectiveness of history teaching and further stimulate students’potential for all-round development.

Thinking on the Artistic Conception Creation of Plant Landscaping Design in Chinese Style Garden

In modern Chinese style garden, the designer could express the emotions in garden creation to produce artistic conception with landscape plants, which could make the sightseers desire to integrate with the nature and led to sympathizing with the concept, thereby motivating and arousing people＇s emotion to return to and close to nature. Through the 6 specific characteristics of ＂shape, color, aroma, shadow, sound and art＂ of landscape plants, some ways to build artistic conception in Chinese style garden were introduced in this study to provide references for the creation of artistic conception creation through senses in the future landscaping design.

Application of Aesthetic Value of the World Modern Garden City and Exploration & Design of Its Artistic Conception——Using Chengdu City as a Case Study

This study explored the origin and development of modern garden city,by integrating concepts of world modern garden city and characteristics of Chengdu cultures,analyzed the application of its aesthetic value and the design of its artistic conception.It was found that Chengdu City had high aesthetic value such as a large area of green spaces and unique recreational cultures,as well as a great potential of unifying idyllic images and natural cultures.To design Chengdu into a world modern garden city,the planning of its urban green space system should be taken as the foundation,"one group and three districts" as the construction system,urban folk cultures,logistics and traffic,information and other such networks as the support to achieve the "beauty of nature,social equity and urban-rural integration".

Study on the Creation of Artistic Conception in Modern Gardens

A Study on the Reproduction of Artistic Conception in Translation of Chinese Classical Poetry from the Perspective of Reception Aesthetics Theory

Chinese classical poetry has long been known for its unique artistic conception of mixture of sentiments andscenery, the conception beyond image and the refinement out of rhyme. From the perspective of receptionaesthetics theory, this paper analyzes translation strategies of the classical poetry, probes into the problems thatretaining “indeterminacy” and satisfying the readers “horizon of expectations” when translate Chinese classicalpoetry. It is necessary to keep enough aesthetic space, and to give full play to the translator’s aesthetic creativitywhen translate Chinese classical poetry, so as to reproduce the artistic conception of Chinese classical poetry.

Artistic Techniques in O Henry's Novels and How They Strengthen the Realism

O. Henry was considered to be an outstanding artistic writer who was good at arranging the plots of the stories and making surprise endings. However, some critics supported the opinion that too many artistic techniques prevented him from being a realistic writer. This article tries to find the evidences and disproves this kind of opinion. It shows that realism was highlighted in O Henry's Novels by using these art techniques.

APST-Flow: A Reversible Network-Based Artistic Painting Style Transfer Method

In recent years,deep generative models have been successfully applied to perform artistic painting style transfer(APST).The difficulties might lie in the loss of reconstructing spatial details and the inefficiency of model convergence caused by the irreversible en-decoder methodology of the existing models.Aiming to this,this paper proposes a Flow-based architecture with both the en-decoder sharing a reversible network configuration.The proposed APST-Flow can efficiently reduce model uncertainty via a compact analysis-synthesis methodology,thereby the generalization performance and the convergence stability are improved.For the generator,a Flow-based network using Wavelet additive coupling(WAC)layers is implemented to extract multi-scale content features.Also,a style checker is used to enhance the global style consistency by minimizing the error between the reconstructed and the input images.To enhance the generated salient details,a loss of adaptive stroke edge is applied in both the global and local model training.The experimental results show that the proposed method improves PSNR by 5%,SSIM by 6.2%,and decreases Style Error by 29.4%over the existing models on the ChipPhi set.The competitive results verify that APST-Flow achieves high-quality generation with less content deviation and enhanced generalization,thereby can be further applied to more APST scenes.

Disclosing and Evaluating Artistic Research

Purpose: This study expands on the results of a stakeholder-driven research project on quality indicators and output assessment of art and design research in Flanders-the Northern, Dutchspeaking region of Belgium. Herein, it emphasizes the value of arts & design output registration as a modality to articulate the disciplinary demarcations of art and design research.Design/methodology/approach: The particularity of art and design research in Flanders is first analyzed and compared to international examples. Hereafter, the results of the stakeholderdriven project on the creation of indicators for arts & design research output assessment are discussed. Findings: The findings accentuate the importance of allowing an assessment culture to emerge from practitioners themselves, instead of imposing ill-suited methods borrowed from established scientific evaluation models(Biggs & Karlsson, 2011)-notwithstanding the practical difficulties it generates. They point to the potential of stakeholder-driven approaches for artistic research, which benefits from constructing a shared metadiscourse among its practitioners regarding the continuities and discontinuities between "artistic" and "traditional" research, and the communal goals and values that guide its knowledge production(Biggs & Karlsson, 2011;Hellstr?m, 2010;Ysebaert & Martens, 2018). Research limitation: The central limitation of the study is that it focuses exclusively on the "Architecture & Design" panel of the project, and does not account for intra-disciplinary complexities in output assessment. Practical implications: The goal of the research project is to create a robust assessment system for arts & design research in Flanders, which may later guide similar international projects. Originality/value: This study is currently the only one to consider the productive potential of(collaborative) PRFSs for artistic research.

Both the selection of flowers and overall layout of flower arrangement in ancient China show the beauty of artistic conception in aesthetics.

From the Illustration to the TV Screen:The Evolution of Artistic Expression in Brazilian Magazines

This work starts from a brief chronological exposition about the emergence and evolution of magazines in Brazil as a means of communication and its subsequent segmentation until arriving at the specialized magazines.An overview of the constitution of the press will be drawn up,with the aim of understanding the historical context of the first periodicals,evolution and maturation until the 1960s and 1970s,which are the historical focus of this article,also considering the magazine Intervalo our object of study,which existed between 1962 and 1973.In Brazil,Editora Abril has marked the evolution of the Brazilian printed media and,to this day,is active with periodicals recognized nationally and internationally.Despite of the historical retrospective,our focus will be on the magazine Intervalo.At this point,it is necessary to emphasize that the history of the weekly has been lost over the years and,after a deep research,we verified the inexistence of a systematized references on the history or editorial characteristics of the publication.It is important to highlight that the magazine’s chronology was rescued by analyzing the digital archive and conducting interviews with journalists and former employees of Editora Abril and Intervalo.We are interested in not only rescuing its history,but also presenting its characteristics,formats,contents,editorial team,writing routine,its importance within the historical context and its contribution to the construction of the media scene of that time.The methodologies used were:bibliographic research,documentary analysis and interviews based on Oral History methodology,proposed by Paul Thompson(1992).

Artistic Space Design of Subway Station Based on Regional Characteristics

On the basis of existing problems in the spatial design of subway station, this paper explored the principles that regional culture involves in the artistic space design of subway station; based on the analysis of three main design sections and site cases-spatial interface, public art and color, the paper also discussed the artistic application and design embodiment of regional culture characteristics reflected in every element of subway station space design, so as to provide a consolidated design example for subway station space design featuring regional characteristics in the future.
