The challenge is to obtain a highly active catalyst under mild conditions for practical applications. Here atomic layer deposition (ALD) of FeOx was performed to deposit an ultrathin oxide coating layer to a Pd/C catalyst, therein the FeOx coverage was precisely controlled by ALD cycles. Transmission electron microscopy and powder X-ray diffraction measurements suggest that the FeOx coating layer improved the thermal stability of Pd nanoparticles (NPs). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement showed that deposition of FeOx on the Pd NPs caused a positive shift of Pd3d binding energy. In the FA dehydrogenation reaction, the ultrathin FeOx layer on the Pd/C could considerably improve the catalytic activity, and Pd/C coated with 8 cycles of FeOx showed an optimized activity with turnover frequency being about 2 times higher than the uncoated one. shape as a function of the number of FeOx ALD The improved activities were in a volcanocycles, indicating the coverage of FeOx is critical for the optimized activity. In summary, simultaneous improvements of activity and thermal stability of Pd/C catalyst by ultra-thin FeOx overlayer suggest to be an effective way to design active catalysts for the FA dehydrogenation reaction.展开更多

The experiments found that all oxygen atoms in AgnO- (n--1-8) are inert in the interactions with H2 or D2 at the low temperature of 150 K, which is in contrast to their high reactivity with CO under the same condition. These observations are parallel with the preferential oxidation (PROX) of CO in excess hydrogen catalyzed by dispersed silver species in the condensed phase. Possible reaction paths between AgnO- (n=1-8) and H2 were explored using DFT calculations. The results indicated that adsorption of H2 on any site of AgnO- (n=1-8) is extremely weak, and oxidation of H2 by any kind of oxygen in AgnO- (n=1-8) has an apparent barrier strongly dependent on the adsorption style of the "O". These experiments and theoretical results about cluster reactions provided molecule-level insights into the activity of atomic oxygen on real silver catalysts.展开更多

It is found that atomic ordering can not promote hydrogen penetration in the (Co,Fe) 3V alloy. The ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and ductilities in various condition were also investigated. The results show that the UTS and elongation of disordered alloy are higher than that of ordered one with fixed diffusible hydrogen content and (Co,Fe) 3V alloy with ordered structure is highly susceptible to the embrittlement in hydrogen gas. The factor which may affect the susceptibility to the embrittlement of (Co,Fe) 3V alloy in hydrogen gas is mainly due to that the atomic ordering may accelerate the kinetics of the catalytic reaction for the dissociation of molecular hydrogen into atomic hydrogen. However, it can not be roled out that atomic ordering intensifies planar slip and restricts cross slip at the grain boundaries and enhances the susceptibility of the alloy to hydrogen embrittlement.展开更多

The formal basis of the approach has been provided by the quantum properties of energy and time deduced from the Joule-Lenz law. The rates of the energy transitions obtained in this way were compared with the quantum-mechanical probabilities of transitions calculated earlier by Bethe and Condon and Shortley for the same pairs of the quantum states.展开更多

Analysis of dimensionless numbers for heat and mass transfer reveals that thermal conduction and diffusion are the dominant mechanisms for gas-phase heat and mass transfer, respectively. A simplified model has been established to simulate gas-phase temperature and H concentration distributions between the filament and the substrate. Examination of the relative importance of homogeneous and heterogeneous production of H atoms indicates that filament-surface decomposition of molecular hydrogen is the dominant source of H and gas-phase reaction plays a negligible role. The filament-surface dissociation rates of H2 for various filament temperatures were calculated to match H-atom concentrations observed in the literature or derived from power consumption by filaments. Arrhenius plots of the filament-surface hydrogen dissociation rates suggest that dissociation of H2 at refractory filament surface is a catalytic process, which has a rather lower effective activation energy than homogeneous thermal dissociation. Atomic hydrogen, acting as an important heat transfer medium to heat the substrate, can freely diffuse from the filament to the substrate without recombination.展开更多

Based on theoretical analysis and computer simulation, a TE011 mode of a sapphire loaded cavity associated with two small rings of SrTiO3 with different thickness is solved, and the useful parameters that influence the temperature coefficient of cavity are calculated. Finally an experiment is brought forward and its results are very close to the computing results. When the thickness of SiTiO3 dielectric is 7 mm and the diameter is 17 mm in configuration b, the temperature coefficient of cavity is decreased from -58.8 kHz/K to -8.2 kHz/K and the quality factor is 40248.展开更多

The dependences of average proton kinetic energy on cluster size, pulse duration, laser intensity and wavelength are studied respectively. The calculated results indicate that the irradiation of a femtosecond laser of longer wavelength on hydrogen atomic clusters may be a simple, economical way to produce highly kinetic hydrogen ions. The phenomenon suggests that the irradiation of femtosecond laser of longer wavelength on deuterium atomic clusters may be easier than that of shorter wavelength to drive nuclear fusion reactions. The product of the laser intensity and the squared laser wavelength needed to make proton energy saturated as a function of the squared cluster radius is also investigated. The proton energy distribution calculated is also shown and compared with the experimental data. Our results are in agreement with the experimental results fairly well.展开更多

文摘General relativity theory(GRT)concludes that a precise clock ticks at different running rates if it is under the influence of different geopotentials. Therefore,by comparing the running rates of clocks at arbitrary two stations, the geopotential difference between them can be determined. In this study, with the help of two hydrogen atomic clocks(noted as H-masers),using the two-way satellite time and frequency transfer(TWSTFT)technique,we carried out experiments of the geopotential difference determination at the China Aerospace Science&Industry Corporation(CASIC),Beijing. Here the ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD)method is adopted to remove periodic signals included in the original observations. Finally, the clock-comparison-determined geopotential difference in the experiments is determined. Results show that the difference between the geopotential difference determined by GRT and that determined by measuring tape is about 1316.1±931.0 m2s-2,which is equivalent to 134.3±95.0 m in height, and in consistence with the stability of the H-masers applied in the experiments(at the level of10-15/day).With the rapid improvement of atomic clocks’accuracy, the geopotential determination by accurate clocks is prospective, and it is promising to realize the unification of the world vertical height system(WVHS).

文摘Development of high-performance and cost-effective catalysts for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)play crucial role in the growing hydrogen economy.Recently, the atomically dispersed metal catalysts have attracted increasing attention due to their ultimate atom utilization and great potential for highly cost-effective and high-efficiency HER electrocatalyst.Herein,we propose a hightemperature treatment strategy to furtherly improve the HER performance of atomically dispersed Ptbased catalyst.Interestingly, after appropriate high-temperature treatment on the atomically dispersed Pt0.8@CN,the Pt species on the designed N-doped porous carbon substrate with rich defect sites can be re-dispersed to single atom state with new coordination environment. The obtained Pt0.8@CN-1000 shows superior HER performance with overpotential of 13 m V at 10 m A cm^(-2)and mass activity of 11,284 m A/mgPtat-0.1 V,much higher than that of the pristine Pt0.8@CN and commercial Pt/C catalyst. The experimental and theoretical investigations indicate that the high-temperature treatment induces the restructuring of coordination environment and then the optimized Pt electronic state leads to the enhanced HER performances. This work affords new strategy and insights to develop the atomically dispersed high-efficiency catalysts.
文摘The diffusible hydrogen contents in precharged (Co,Fe) 3V alloy were measured. However, it can not be roled out that atomic ordering intensifies planar slip and restricts cross slip at the grain boundaries and enhances the susceptibility of the alloy to hydrogen embrittlement.
文摘The energy spectrum of the hydrogen atom has been applied in calculating the time rate of energy transitions between the quantum states of the atom. The formal basis of the approach has been provided by the quantum properties of energy and time deduced from the Joule-Lenz law. The rates of the energy transitions obtained in this way were compared with the quantum-mechanical probabilities of transitions calculated earlier by Bethe and Condon and Shortley for the same pairs of the quantum states.
文摘In this paper we focus on diamond film hot-filament chemical vapor deposition reactors where the only reactant is hydrogen so as to study the formation and transport of hydrogen atoms. Atomic hydrogen, acting as an important heat transfer medium to heat the substrate, can freely diffuse from the filament to the substrate without recombination.
文摘To obtain frequency-temperature compensation in a sapphire loaded cavity for hydrogen maser, a dielectric named SrTiO3 is employed whose temperature coefficient of permittivity is opposite to that of sapphire. When the thickness of SiTiO3 dielectric is 7 mm and the diameter is 17 mm in configuration b, the temperature coefficient of cavity is decreased from -58.8 kHz/K to -8.2 kHz/K and the quality factor is 40248.

文摘The interaction between intense femtosecond laser pulses and hydrogen atomic clusters is studied by a simplified Coulomb explosion model. Our results are in agreement with the experimental results fairly well.
文摘We calculate nonperturbatively the irfluence of a strong circularly polarized laser beam on the hydrogen atom energy levels by making use of the time-independent formalism proposed by one of us. The photoionization cross section of the hydrogen atom irradiated by this laser beam and the angular distribution of photoelectrons are also calculated. From the numerical results we clearly see the intensity dependence of the whole photoionization process, including the intensity dependence of the photoelectron energies.

文摘Urea oxidation reaction(UOR) has been selected as substitution for oxygen evolution reaction ascribing to its low thermodynamic voltage as well as utilization of nickel as electrocatalyst.Herein,we report the formation of nickel single atoms(Ni-SAs) as exceptional bifunctional electrocatalyst toward UOR and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) in urea-assisted water splitting. In UOR catalysis,Ni-SAs perform a superior catalytic performance than Ni-NP/NC and Pt/C ascribing to the formation of HOO-Ni-N_(4) structure evidenced by in-situ Raman spectroscopy, corresponding to a boosted mass activity by 175-fold at 1.4 V vs.RHE than Ni-NP/NC.Furthermore,Ni-SAs requires only 450 mV overpotential to obtain HER current density of 500 mA cm^(-2).136 mA cm^(-2) is achieved in urea-assisted water splitting at1.7 V for Ni-SAs,boosted by 5.7 times than Pt/C-IrO_(2) driven water splitting.
文摘Cooperative hydrogen atom transfer and chiral hydrogen‐bonding catalysis as a new platform for the asymmetric synthesis of azaarene derivatives is reported.By using a tetrabutylammonium decatungstate as the photocatalyst and a chiral phosphoric acid as the hydrogen‐bonding catalyst, transformations of a variety of commercially available hydrocarbons and silanes with diverseα‐branched 2‐vinylazaarenes could efficiently experience a tandem radical conjugate addition and enantioselective protonation process, providing a convenient and fully atom economical approach to access a range of valuable enantioenrichedα‐tertiary azaarenes in high yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities(up to 93%ee).Through the direct use of tert‐butyl methylcarbamate as the feedstock, this method enables a highly practical and concise synthesis of the enantiomerically pure medicinal molecule pheniramine(Avil).

文摘We report a theoretical scheme using a B-spline basis set to improve the poor computational accuracy of circular Rydberg states of hydrogen atoms in the intermediate magnetic field. This scheme can produce high accuracy energy levels and valid for an arbitrary magnetic field. Energy levels of hydrogen are presented for circular Rydberg states with azimuthal quantum numbers |m| =10-70 as a function of magnetic field strengths ranging from zero to 2.35 × 10^9 T. The variation of spatial distributions of electron probability densities with magnetic field strengths is discussed and competition between Coulomb and magnetic interactions is illustrated.
