Because of a network transmission delay inherent in the topology, synchronization between nodes has become a critical issue which needs to be studied. The existing synchronization methods largely depend on the complex communication protocol. Therefore, this paper has proposed a method of automatic measurement and compensation of synchronization delay, and analyzed its operating principle and implementation procedure in detail. The synchronizer is a key component of automatic mechanical transmission(AMT)equipped in electric vehicles,but the inertial lock-ring synchronizer(ILRS)commonly used there is not suitable especially for pure electric ...The synchronizer is a key component of automatic mechanical transmission(AMT)equipped in electric vehicles,but the inertial lock-ring synchronizer(ILRS)commonly used there is not suitable especially for pure electric vehicles without a clutch because of big shift impact.To make the shifting process rapid and smooth,a new synchronizer named pressure-controllable friction ring synchronizer(PCFRS)was designed.Initially,the inevitable shortcoming of ILRS was verified by simulation and test.Furthermore,the mechanical characteristics and advantages of the new synchronizer over ILRS were analyzed.Then,the formulations describing the dynamic transmission based on the working mechanism of the PCFRS were established.Finally,the shifting simulation results with PCFRS and ILRS based on the same operating conditions were compared and analyzed.The research shows that the PCFRS can meet the main shifting evaluation index of an AMT without complex control methods,as well as it takes only 0.2406 s to finish the comfortable and zero-speed-difference shifting.The shifting quality of PCFRS is better than that of the ILRS.It lays a foundation for using the new synchronizer as a part of clutchless AMTs equipped in pure electric vehicles.展开更多

Two-stage de-noising processing can reduce the impact of baseline drift and determine automatic peak detection threshold range for signal recognition by distinguishing different features of frame synchronization pulse and instruction pulse. Rising and falling edge relative protruding threshold is defined for peak detection in signal recognition, which can make full use of the degree of the signal peak change and detect peaks flexibly with rising and falling edge relative protruding threshold combination. A synchronous decoding method was designed to reduce position uncertainty of the frame synchronization pulse and eliminate the accumulative error of time base drift, which determines the first instruction pulse position according to position of the frame synchronization pulse and decodes subsequent instruction pulse by taking current instruction pulse as new bit synchronization pulse. Special tool software was developed to tune algorithm parameters, which has a decoding success rate of about 95% for the universal coded signals. For the special coded signals with check byte, decoding success rate using the automatic threshold adjustment algorithm is as high as 99%.展开更多
As synchronous generators(SGs)are gradually displaced by renewable energy sources(RESs),the frequency stability of power systems deteriorates because RESs,represented by utility-scale solar and wind power sources,do n...As synchronous generators(SGs)are gradually displaced by renewable energy sources(RESs),the frequency stability of power systems deteriorates because RESs,represented by utility-scale solar and wind power sources,do not provide the inertial response,primary frequency response,secondary frequency response,and tertiary frequency regulation.As a result,the remaining SGs may not be sufficient to maintain the power balance and frequency stability.The concept and control strategies of virtual synchronous generators(VSGs)enable the inverter-based wind and solar power sources to emulate the outer characteristics of traditional SGs and participate in the active power and frequency control of power systems.This paper focuses on the automatic generation control(AGC)with virtual synchronous renewables(VSRs).First,the VSR strategy that enables the RESs to participate in AGC is introduced.Second,based on the interval representation of uncertainty,the output of RES is transformed into two portions,i.e.,the dispatchable portion and the stochastic portion.In the dispatchable portion,the RESs can participate in AGC jointly with SGs.Accordingly,a security-constrained economic dispatch(SCED)model is built considering the RESs operating in VSR mode.Third,the solution strategy that employs the slack variables to acquire deterministic constraints is introduced.Finally,the proposed SCED model is solved based on the 6-bus and 39-bus systems.The results show that,compared with the maximum power point tracking(MPPT)mode,VSRs can participate in the active power and frequency control jointly with SGs,increase the maximum penetration level of RESs,and decrease the operating cost.展开更多
