Off line programming provides an essential link between CAD and CAM, whose development will result in greater use of robotic arc welding. An arc welding system with a robot and a rotating/tilting positioner is one of the most typical workcells. The inverse kinematics of robot and positioner is the foundation of the off line programming system. The previous researchers only focused on a special solution of the positioner inverse kinematics, which is the solution at down hand welding position. In this paper, we introduce a method for representing welding position. Then a general algorithm of rotating/tilting positioner inverse kinematics is presented, and an approach to find the unique solution of the inverse kinematics is discussed. The simulation experiment results show that the general algorithm can improve the ability of robotic arc welding off line programming system to program all types of welding positions. 展开更多

This control system used a two-mode controller that based on Fuzzy and PID control method. The results of simulation show that the dynamic and steady performances of the intelligent controller are better than that of single PID or Fuzzy controller. This paper has made a detail theoretical analysis of the constitution design and real-time controlled software and brought up the design and fulfillment method of multi-task real-time control software of high precisely and numerically controlled welding positioner, which has a good result in practice. 展开更多

X80 pipeline steel was welded with submerged arc automatic welding, the microstructures, cavity sizes, fusion depths and plane scanning of chemical elements in the welded zone, fusion zone, heat affected zone and base steel were observed with OM(optical microscope) and SEM(scanning electron microscope), respectively. The experimental results show that there is main acicular ferrite in the base steel and welded zone, the microscopic structure of fusion zone is a blocked bainite, and the heat affected zone is composed of multilateral ferrite and pearlite. M-A unit of the welded zone is the main factor to strengthen the welded zone, composed of acicular ferrites. The percentage of cavities in the welded joint is less than that in the base steel, which is beneficial to increasing its mechanical performance and corrosion resistance. The fusion depth in the fusion zone and welded zone is 101.13 μm and 115.85 μm, respectively, and the distribution of chemical elements in the welded zone is uniform, no enrichment phenomena. 展开更多

Because scheme design has close relationship with product structure, performance and technology cost, it is important for applying the intelligent CAD of scheme design to improve the quality and competitive level of the product. The definition and function of welding positioner are discussed in this paper. The new definition of welding positioner extends the research scope of welding positioner to welding fixture and welding positioning motion mechanism. The design process of welding fixture and positioning motion system is described, and the cased based and knowledge based design strategy of welding positioner scheme design intelligent CAD is then put forward, which lays foundation for developing proto type system of welding positioner scheme design. 展开更多

A system for fully automatic selection of welding specifications in resistance welding equipment has been developed to address the problem of workers frequently choosing the wrong specifications during manual welding of multiple parts on a single machine in automobile factories. The system incorporates an automatic recognition system for different workpiece materials using the added machine fixture,visual detection system for nuts and bolts,and secondary graphical confirmation to ensure the correctness of specification calling. This system achieves reliable,fully automatic selection of welding specifications in resistance welding equipment and has shown significant effects in improving welding quality for massproduced workpieces,while solving the problem of specification calling errors that can occur with traditional methods involving process charts and code adjustments. This system is particularly suitable for promoting applications in manual welding of multiple parts on a single machine in automobile factories,ensuring correct specification calling and welding quality. 展开更多

A full automatic welding machine for spherical tanks' all position multi layer welds has been developed. This machine is mainly composed of a two dimension seam tracking system based on microcomputer's memory and a welding tractor as well as rail. The main features of the machine are: while welding the first layer of a seam, its microcomputer system can analyze and store the tracing information from a two dimension sensor, and control the welding head device to realize two dimension real time tracing; while welding the second layer up to the top layer of the seam, it can realize two dimension tracing based on the memorial data, automatically determine the layer number and continually sway the welding head. The welding test shows that the machine has good tracing and welding behavior, and is suitable for spherical tank's all position multi layer welds. 展开更多

Automatic girth welding and performance evaluation of the joints of hot-induction-bend and line pipes with different wall thickness

During the process of laying long-distance oil and gas transmission pipelines, the hot-induction-bend method is extensively used when the direction has to be changed. By considering the pipeline' s ongoing processing and loading states during service, the pipeline that is generally used exhibits thicker walls than those that are observed in the line pipe. As such, during pipeline construction, hot-induction-bend and line pipes with different wall thickness are girth-welded. The chemical composition of hot-induction-bend and line pipes differs, with the carbon content being particularly higher in the hot-induction-bend pipe;it also depicts a higher carbon equivalent, which makes it possible to modify the girth of the pipe. In this study, using Baosteel' s standard X70M UOE hot- induction-bend and line pipes, solid-wire automatic gas-metal-arc girth welding was performed and the performance of the girth-welded joint was evaluated. Furthermore,the weldability of the pipeline girth and the microstructure of the girth-welded joint were analyzed. The results reveal that Baosteel' s standard UOE hot-induction-bend and line pipes exhibit good girth weldability, and their technical quality can be guaranteed in case of consumer field- construction applications. 展开更多

Complete geometric models of robotic arc welding are established in this paper. In the geometric model of weld seam, an equation with seam length as its parameter is introduced to represent any weld seam. The method to determine discrete programming points on a weld seam is presented. In the geometric model of weld workpiece, three class primitives and CSG tree are used to describe weld workpiece. Detailed data structure is presented. In pose transformation of torch, world frame, torch frame and active frame are defined, and transformation between frames is presented. Based on these geometric models, an automatic programming software package for robotic arc welding, RAWCAD, is developed. Experiments show that the geometric models are practical and reliable. 展开更多

The system has been applied in the “West East Pipeline Project” and its performance is proven. With this welding machine the welding parameters can be either preset before or adjusted in real time during the welding process, which avoids the blemishes of same type domestic and international products. Thus it is best propitious to in situ construction conditions and workers’ technical level in China. 目的针对J55钢焊接性较差、接头热影响区(HAZ)易出现脆硬马氏体组织等问题,在焊前对J55钢母材进行热处理,研究其焊接接头。方法在焊前对J55钢母材进行了760℃与880℃的热处理,采用TIG焊方法进行了焊接,研究了热处理前后TIG焊对接头显微... 目的针对J55钢焊接性较差、接头热影响区(HAZ)易出现脆硬马氏体组织等问题,在焊前对J55钢母材进行热处理,研究其焊接接头。方法在焊前对J55钢母材进行了760℃与880℃的热处理,采用TIG焊方法进行了焊接,研究了热处理前后TIG焊对接头显微组织和力学性能的影响。结果经焊前760℃热处理后,母材中的珠光体(P)含量显著减少并且发生细化,焊后接头HAZ组织转变为晶界铁素体(GBF)、针状铁素体(AF)和P;经焊前880℃热处理后,母材的显微组织主要为多边形铁素体(PF)和AF,在焊后接头的HAZ中形成了PF、贝氏体(B)和M-A组元。2种热处理接头焊缝区(WZ)的盖面层组织为GBF和AF,靠近和远离盖面层的打底层组织主要为PF和P;未热处理接头HAZ组织为PF、B和马氏体(M)。与2种热处理接头相比,未热处理接头的显微硬度居中,抗拉强度最高,延伸率最低,拉伸断裂位于熔合线与HAZ之间,断口呈脆性断裂特征。与760℃热处理相比,经880℃热处理的焊接接头HAZ显微硬度最高值达523HV,为760℃热处理的2.2倍,接头抗拉强度提高了2.2%,但延伸率降低了7.6%。2种热处理接头拉伸后均断裂在母材,断口均呈韧性断裂特征。结论先在焊前对J55钢母材进行热处理再采用TIG焊进行焊接,可获得力学性能优异的焊接接头,在焊前760℃热处理的条件下,得到的接头力学性能最优。 展开更多

工业风机具有叶轮结构和叶片型面复杂、加工精度要求高的特点,一直以来实现叶片自动化焊接是个难题。本文设计了由机器人本体、移动导轨和变位机组成的多轴联动机器人风机叶片焊接工作站,通过激光视觉传感器扫描定位焊缝位置实现高精度... 工业风机具有叶轮结构和叶片型面复杂、加工精度要求高的特点,一直以来实现叶片自动化焊接是个难题。本文设计了由机器人本体、移动导轨和变位机组成的多轴联动机器人风机叶片焊接工作站,通过激光视觉传感器扫描定位焊缝位置实现高精度自动焊接。采用一种新的相机标定方法,计算特制标定板上标定点在图像坐标系和机器人坐标系下的位置得到标定矩阵。编写LoG滤波和形态学运算图像处理算法,消除反射光及噪音点,采用几何中心法和改进的灰度重心法得到亚像素级激光条纹中心点;通过RANSAC算法拟合直线,根据直线相交法得到焊缝特征点;最后根据手眼标定矩阵得到特征点的三维坐标,从而引导机器人实现自动焊接。焊接实验结果表明,焊缝成型良好,无明显缺陷,焊点位置误差控制在±1.5 mm以内,满足实际焊接工艺需求。 展开更多

It makes the robot directly attracted tothe surface of the spherical tank so as to realize the all-position walking and welding withoutrail. At the same time, a CCD real-time tracing system is developed for the robot to repeatedlytrace the all-position and multi-layer seams. 壁厚大于3 mm的小口径不锈钢圆管I形坡口自熔焊接,易出现未焊透缺陷,严重影响焊接质量。针对外径ϕ32.5 mm、壁厚为3.25 mm的304奥氏体不锈钢圆管I形坡口,采用自动钨极氩弧焊自熔焊接方法,通过数值模拟和焊接试验研究焊接工艺参数中焊接... 壁厚大于3 mm的小口径不锈钢圆管I形坡口自熔焊接,易出现未焊透缺陷,严重影响焊接质量。针对外径ϕ32.5 mm、壁厚为3.25 mm的304奥氏体不锈钢圆管I形坡口,采用自动钨极氩弧焊自熔焊接方法,通过数值模拟和焊接试验研究焊接工艺参数中焊接电流和起弧预热时间对焊缝成形的影响。由数值模拟得出焊接电流、起弧预热时间与焊缝成形参数的对应关系,初步确定圆管自熔焊接试验的焊接电流和起弧预热时间范围。然后,通过自动钨极氩弧焊自熔焊接试验,得出了焊缝成形良好时的具体焊接电流、起弧预热时间。试验结果表明,焊接速度为100 mm/min、焊接电流为105 A,115 A时,圆管环缝中间焊段能够实现熔透,且焊缝不会产生塌陷缺陷。焊接电流为115 A、起弧预热时间为4 s和5 s时,起弧段焊缝背面熔宽较为稳定,能够确保焊缝可靠熔透。 展开更多
