Then azido\|terminated polyalkylene glycols were prepared by a nucleophilic reaction of the nitrato\|terminated polyalkylene glycols with sodium azide in different phase transfer catalytic conditions. Copolymerization of lactide with functionalized cyclic carbonate monomers proved to be an efficient way to functionalize aliphatic polyesters. However, random co-polyesters with pendent amino groups were seldom reported.
