The combination way of the two optimizing algorithms was used in board allocating of furniture production. In the experiment, the rectangular flake board of 3650 mm 1850 mm was used as raw material to allocate 100 sets of Table Bucked. The utilizing rate of the board reached 94.14 % and the calculating time was only 35 s. The experiment result proofed that the method by using the GA for optimizing the weights of the ANN can raise the utilizing rate of the board and can shorten the time of the design. At the same time, this method can simultaneously searched in many directions, thus greatly in-creasing the probability of finding a global optimum.展开更多

The Orthotropic Experiment Method (OEM) is used to select the most appropriate design samples for network training. The trained response surfaces can either be objective function or constraint conditions. Together with other conven- tional constraints, an optimization model is then set up and can be solved by Genetic Algorithm (GA). This allows the separation between design analysis modeling and optimization searching. Through an example of a hat-stiffened composite plate design, the weight response surface is constructed to be objective function, and strength and buckling response surfaces as constraints; and all of them are trained through NASTRAN finite element analysis. The results of optimization study illustrate that the cycles of structural analysis ean be remarkably reduced or even eliminated during the optimization, thus greatly raising the efficiency of optimization process. It also observed that NNRS approximation can achieve equal or even better accuracy than conventional functional response surfaces.展开更多

文摘Global warming, driven by human-induced disruptions to the natural carbon dioxide(CO_(2))cycle,is a pressing concern. To mitigate this, carbon capture and storage has emerged as a key strategy that enables the continued use of fossil fuels while transitioning to cleaner energy sources.Deep saline aquifers are of particular interest due to their substantial CO_(2)storage potential, often located near fossil fuel reservoirs. In this study,a deep saline aquifer model with a saline water production well was constructed to develop the optimization workflow.Due to the time-consuming nature of each realization of the numerical simulation,we introduce a sur-rogate aquifer model derived from extracted data. The novelty of our work lies in the pioneering of simultaneous optimization using machine learning within an integrated framework.Unlike previous studies, which typically focused on single-parameter optimiza-tion,our research addresses this gap by performing multi-objective optimization for CO_(2)storage and breakthrough time in deep sa-line aquifers using a data-driven model. Our methodology encompasses preprocessing and feature selection, identifying eight pivotal parameters.Evaluation metrics include root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)and R^(2).In predicting CO_(2)storage values,RMSE,MAPE and R^(2)in test data were 2.07%,1.52%and 0.99,respectively,while in blind data, they were 2.5%,2.05%and 0.99.For the CO_(2)breakthrough time,RMSE,MAPE and R^(2)in the test data were 2.1%,1.77%and 0.93,while in the blind data they were 2.8%,2.23%and 0.92,respectively.In addressing the substantial computational demands and time-consuming nature of coup-ling a numerical simulator with an optimization algorithm,we have adopted a strategy in which the trained artificial neural network is seamlessly integrated with a multi-objective genetic algorithm.Within this framework,we conducted 5000 comprehensive experi-ments to rigorously validate the development of the Pareto front, highlighting the depth of our computational approach. The findings of the study promise insights into the interplay between CO_(2)breakthrough time and storage in aquifer-based carbon capture and storage processes within an integrated framework based on data-driven coupled multi-objective optimization.
文摘In this study, the heat transfer optimization(evaporation)and the specification of the FX-70 zeotropic refrigerant flow inside a corrugated pipe have been investigated.Despite the low HTC(HTC),this type of refrigerant is highly applicable in low or medium temperature engineering systems during the evaporation process. To eliminate this defect, high turbulence and proper mixing are required. Therefore, using heat transfer(HT)augmentation methods will be necessary and effective. In order to find the most favorable operating conditions that lead to the optimum combination of pressure drop(PD)and HTC,empirical data, neural networks, and genetic algorithms(GA)for multi-objective(MO)(NSGA II)are used.To investigate the mentioned cases, the geometric parameters of corrugated pipes, vapor quality, and mass velocity of refrigerant were studied. The results showed that with vapor quality higher than 0.8 and corrugation depth and pitch of 1.5 and 7 mm,respectively,we would achieve the desired optimum design.

文摘Vortex induced vibration(VIV)is a challenge in ocean engineering.Several devices including fairings have been designed to suppress VIV.However, how to optimize the design of suppression devices is still a problem to be solved. In this paper,an optimization design methodology is presented based on data-driven models and genetic algorithm(GA).Data-driven models are introduced to substitute complex physics-based equations.GA is used to rapidly search for the optimal suppression device from all possible solutions.Taking fairings as example,VIV response database for different fairings is established based on parameterized models in which model sections of fairings are controlled by several control points and Bezier curves. Then a data-driven model, which can predict the VIV response of fairings with different sections accurately and efficiently,is trained through BP neural network. Finally,a comprehensive optimization method and process is proposed based on GA and the data-driven model. The proposed method is demonstrated by its application to a case.It turns out that the proposed method can perform the optimization design of fairings effectively.VIV can be reduced obviously through the optimization design.
文摘A real valued genetic algorithm(RVGA) for the optimization problem with continuous variables is proposed. It is composed of a simple and general purpose dynamic scaled fitness and selection operator, crossover operator, mutation operators and adaptive probabilities for these operators. The algorithm is tested by two generally used functions and is used in training a neural network for image recognition. Experimental results show that the algorithm is an efficient global optimization algorithm.
文摘This paper presents a combined method based on optimized neural networks and optimization algorithms to solve structural optimization problems. The main idea is to utilize an optimized artificial neural network(OANN)as a surrogate model to reduce the number of computations for structural analysis.First, the OANN is trained appropriately.Subsequently, the main optimization problem is solved using the OANN and a population-based algorithm. The algorithms considered in this step are the arithmetic optimization algorithm(AOA)and genetic algorithm(GA).Finally, the abovementioned problem is solved using the optimal point obtained from the previous step and the pattern search(PS)algorithm. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, two numerical examples are considered. In the first example, the performance of two algorithms,OANN+AOA+PS and OANN+GA+PS,is investigated.Using the GA reduces the elapsed time by approximately 50%compared with using the AOA.Results show that both the OANN+GA+PS and OANN+AOA+PS algorithms perform well in solving structural optimization problems and achieve the same optimal design. However, the OANN+GA+PS algorithm requires significantly fewer function evaluations to achieve the same accuracy as the OANN+AOA+PS algorithm.
