Publishers’Development Strategies in Response to Changes in National Reading-Analysis Based on the 16th to 20th National Reading Survey Report

Since 2014,nationwide reading has been included in the government work report for 10 consecutive times,and twice into the country’s five-year development plan.The importance of reading for individuals,society,and the country has become increasingly prominent.National reading has flourished,and throughout the 2018 to 2022 National Reading Survey Report,there have been welcome changes in national reading in China.This study compares and analyzes the relevant reading indicators of adult nationals from 2018 to 2022,and summarizes the five changes and new trends in national reading.That is,national reading awareness has increased,paper-book reading habits have returned,digital reading has become more diversified,the listening group has grown,and the voice of national reading activities has continued to rise.Accordingly,it provides relevant development strategies for publishers.

Is the Long-term Economic Decline of the Philippines Unstoppable? Trends, Reasons, Outlook

The Philippines was in the 1960s a model of development in Asia and second to Japan,but occupies presently only the 11th position under South-East and East Asian countries in terms of GDP-per capita.The article explores why this important Asian country with a long colonial past and enormous economic potential still ranks under lower-income countries and has in the last decades let pass by many other Asian countries.In answering this question,the approach of external triggers for accelerated development is being applied.In stark contrast to the success stories of the strongly outward-looking Asian countries like the four Tigers,later of Thailand and Vietnam the Philippines never developed a vision of an open economy connecting pro-actively to the world markets.Trade is hampered by a non-competitive and highly protected national economy.The existing FDI is more oriented to the profitable local markets.Foreign debts were never effectively used and international tourism was never well promoted.Linking these failures to the existing power structures in the country,it seems very much that the backward forces like the big landowners,the local producers and industrialists never wanted and continue not to want to open up the economy to international competition and governments are complacent with these groups.Various indicators demonstrate the long-term decline of the Philippines:Among them the slow growth of the GDP and the continuously high poverty rates.As the alliance of big business and policy holds firm no change in the failing nationalistic economic model can be detected leaving the bleak outlook that the economic decline will continue.

Economic Development Strategies and Optimization of High-tech Development Zones from the Perspective of"Four-transform and Three-famous":Taking Nanchang High-tech Development Zone as an Example

In recent years,high-tech development zones(hi-tech zones)have always occupied a very important position in the strategy of promoting China's innovative development.The combination of the"four-transform and three-famous"coordinated economic development strategy pioneered by Zhejiang Province in 2015 and the coordinated economic development of high-tech zones is particularly important for modern China at a critical time for innovative economic development.In this article,based on the research on the coordination mechanism of economic activities and development of Nanchang High-tech Zone,the development course of high-tech zones in China is elaborated,the early economic models in high-tech zones of Nanchang and China are analyzed,the existing problems in the structure of economic development of high-tech zones are analyzed in depth,the main driving factors for promoting the economic development of high-tech zones are studied from the aspects of capital,space,industry,economic model,etc.,and corresponding development strategies for high-tech development zones in China are proposed.

Information as a Tool for Achieving Sustainable National Development： A Case Study of Nigeria

Information is power. Information, especially in the present computer age, drives the world, our communication, our decision-making, and our reactions to things happening around us and even beyond. Thus the importance of information to individuals, organizations and even nations cannot be overemphasized. This paper focuses on the usefulness of information to national development, using Nigeria as a case study. Deferent countries have used different strategies and approaches successfully, to initiate and pursue development goals, ranging from import substitution strategy as the case of the Asian tigers, to export-led strategy as has been the case of the developed capitalist countries of the West. In all of this, the role of information in making it possible for Nigeria and other developing countries of the world to know and learn about development strategies from the developed world through internet, radio, television, print, meetings and international conferences has been very rewarding. One major finding from the avalanche of literature consulted is that no one particular strategy can be said to be universally most effective; the success or failure of a particular strategy depends on the prevailing circumstances in individual countries. It is recommended, among others, that economic experts involved in decision-making on national development should always be on the watch out to get the latest information on issues relating to national development.

Intellectual Property Protection and High-quality Development of Cotton Industry in Xinjiang

This paper firstly introduces the general situation of cotton planting areas in China and cotton industry in Xinjiang,and the current situation of intellectual property protection of Xinjiang's cotton industry.Then,it analyzes the main problems in its intellectual property protection and high-quality development.On this basis,it comes up with the recommendations for high-quality development of cotton industry in Xinjiang under the strategy of strengthening the country with intellectual property.The recommendations include improving the level of creation of creative intellectual property rights,building an intellectual property rule system in the entire cotton industry chain in Xinjiang,building protected zones for production of major high quality agricultural product cotton,establishing a demonstration zone to undertake the transfer of the domestic cotton textile and garment industry,undertaking education on the sense of community for the Chinese nation in response to the Xinjiang cotton incident,and developing the"Belt and Road"blue market for Xinjiang cotton and its products.

网络强国要求中国少年网络强。中国化的网络素养急需突破西方抵制保护主义、分析范式和表征范式的网络媒介素养观。在内涵界定上,确立必备品格和关键能力两个基本内涵,品格上要恪守网络伦理和网络文明,实现网络与现实人格相统一,具备网络适应力、胜任力和创造力;能力上要坚持网络认知为先,网络技能为重,网络道德为魂,体现时代性、实践性、创造性、人民性和国际性的鲜明特征。在测评研究上,应该紧跟当前核心素养教育的改革方向,坚持走网络素养教育的"知行统一"路线,借鉴核心素养测评的评价方法,秉持"以证据为中心的设计"的理念,开展"基于证据进行推理"的测评设计,用组合模型实现科学评价。在教育路径上,要关注在中国开展网络素养教育的地区差异、阶层差异和文化差异,要从提升教师的网络素养开始,将网络素养教育与数字素养教育有机融合,组建教科研共同体,开展基于网络素养提升的课程开发研究和教育行动研究,持续推进大中小网络素养教育一体化。
