The results show that the amorphous phase is formed first at an early milling stage, then crystallization occurs during further milling, leading to formation of a nanocrystalline fcc metastable phase. In contrast, during annealing the amorphous phase is crystallized to the equilibrium phase instead of the fcc phase. Ni52Mn24Ga24 alloy particles at micron scale were prepared succ...The effect of post annealing on the phase transformation of Ni52Mn24Ga24 ferromagnetic shape memory alloy particles prepared by ball milling was studied. Ni52Mn24Ga24 alloy particles at micron scale were prepared successfully by ball milling the crushed bulk alloy. SEM observation reveals that the shape of the as-milled particle is regular polygon and a lot of cracks can be seen at the surface of the particles. For as-milled particles,the widening of characteristic peak can be found in the XRD pattern,and no transformation characterization can be detected by DSC. Post annealing at the elevated temperature will recover the transformation behavior of milled particles to the same level as that of bulk sample. It is shown that with increasing annealing temperature above 400 ℃,Ms decreases and As increases,while the magnetic transition temperature keeps constant. XRD results indicate that the change of grain size of the particles results in such an effect of post annealing.展开更多

Under these conditions, the characteristics of arising equilibrium PBS are uniquely determined by the frequency of the periodic field, but the solitons with other frequencies are impossible. For such structure, the entropy increase connected with dissipation is compensated by the decrease of the entropy due to the external periodic field. It is shown that the equilibrium PBS are essentially the “self-organizing systems” that can arise spotaneously in a metastable state of ferromagnet.展开更多

The aspects of thermodynamics and kinetics for the mechanically activated disp...Mechanically activated disproportionation of Nd 12 Fe 82 B 6 alloy by ball milling in hydrogen atmosphere was experimentally investigated. The aspects of thermodynamics and kinetics for the mechanically activated disproportionation of the NdFeB alloy were discussed. Both the evolution of the disproportionation reaction and the corresponding microstructure change of the alloy during milling were characterized by X ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The results show that the matrix phase Nd 2Fe 14 B of the as cast Nd 12 Fe 82 B 6 alloy can be disproportionated into a mixture of Nd hydride (H 5Nd 2), FeB/Fe 2B, and α Fe, by ball milling under hydrogen pressure of 0.2 MPa. The as disproportionated phases are of the size about 20 nm, suggesting that ball milling in hydrogen is an effective route for low temperature disproportionation processing of the NdFeB alloy to ensure a full nano structured as disproportionated microstructure. This is the basis for synthesizing Nd 2Fe 14 B/ α Fe nano composites with magnetic exchange coupling effect by subsequent desorption recombination processing.展开更多

The results show ...The size,crystal structure and phase transformation of Ni49.8Mn28.5Ga21.7 alloy particles prepared by planetary ball milling(PBM) and vibration ball milling(VBM) were investigated by SEM,XRD and DSC. The results show that the particles milled by PBM for 4 h exhibit irregular polyhedron,with the size distribution between 5 μm and 40 μm. These particles present disordered fct structure with no phase transformation behaviour. When annealed at 600 ℃ for 1 h,the crystal structure of the particles evolves from disordered fct to Heusler completely. The particles milled by VBM for 4 h exhibit flaky shape,with the size distribution from 3 μm to 30 μm. The particles present disordered fcc structure with no phase transformation behaviour. However the crystal structure of these particles doesn't transform from disordered fcc to Heusler completely after annealing at 600 ℃ for 1 h,for the severe lattice distortion induced in the VBM process is not eliminated entirely.展开更多

The ball-screw is simplified as Timoshenko beam and the differential equation of motion for the ball-screw is built. To obtain the axial vibration equation,the differential equation of motion is simplified using the assumed mode method. Axial vibration equation is in form of Duffing equation and has the characteristics of nonlinearity. The numerical simulation of Duffing equation is proceeded by MATLAB / Simulink. The effect of screw length,exciting force and damping coefficient are researched,and the axial vibration phase track diagram and Poincare section are obtained. The stability and period of the axial vibration are analyzed. The limit cycle of phase track diagram is enclosed. Axial vibration has two type-center singularity distributions on both sides of the origin. The singularity attracts vibration to reach a stable state,and Poincare section shows that axial vibration appears chaotic motion and quasi periodic motion or periodic motion. Singularity position changes with the vibration system parameters,while the distribution doesn’ t change. The period of the vibration is enhanced with increasing frequency and damping coefficient. Test of the feeding system ball-screw axial vibration exists chaos movement. This paper provides a certain theoretical basis for the dynamic characteristic analysis of machine feeding system ball-screw and optimization of structural parameters.展开更多
