By using evacuation simulation technology and taking North China University of Technology as an example,the barrier-free evacuation design scheme for groups with different needs in campus environment was deeply discus...By using evacuation simulation technology and taking North China University of Technology as an example,the barrier-free evacuation design scheme for groups with different needs in campus environment was deeply discussed.Based on the data of building layout,population composition,road system and distribution of shelters in the school,a detailed evacuation model was constructed in the Pathfinder emergency evacuation simulation system.By the simulation during the daytime and at night,the total evacuation time of the whole school,evacuation completion time of each building,selection of evacuation paths and shelter utilization were analyzed in detail.The simulation results show that the distribution of shelters on campus is uneven,and their capacity is limited.As a result,the evacuation paths of the disabled,the elderly and children need to be adjusted frequently,which affects the overall evacuation efficiency.In view of this,the optimization strategies of road renovation and entrances of shelters and buildings were put forward from the perspective of space planning.From the perspective of emergency management,it is suggested to improve the campus evacuation infrastructure and strengthen the evacuation drill for teachers and students.These results provide a solid theoretical support for enhancing the construction of campus barrier-free environment and improving the level of emergency management.展开更多

In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interact...In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interaction design mode used is still mainly based on the interaction mode for young groups,and is not designed for elderly users.Therefore,a design method for optimizing the interaction interface of live broadcasting platform for elderly users was proposed in this study.Firstly,the case study method and Delphi expert survey method were used to determine the design needs of elderly users and the design mode was analysed.Secondly,the orthogonal design principle was used to design a test sample of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform applicable for the elderly users,and then a user evaluation system was established to calculate the weights of the design elements using hierarchical analysis,and then the predictive relationship between the design mode of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform and the elderly users was established by Quantitative Theory I.Finally,Genetic Algorithm was applied to generate the optimized design scheme.The results showed that the design method based on the Genetic Algorithm and the combination of Quantitative Theory can scientifically and effectively optimize the design of the interactive interface of the live broadcasting platform for the elderly users,and improve the experience of the elderly users.展开更多

N-11-azaartemisinins potentially active against Plasmodium falciparum are designed by combining molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), ligand-receptor interaction, and models built with supervised machine learning m...N-11-azaartemisinins potentially active against Plasmodium falciparum are designed by combining molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), ligand-receptor interaction, and models built with supervised machine learning methods (PCA, HCA, KNN, SIMCA, and SDA). The optimization of molecular structures was performed using the B3LYP/6-31G* approach. MEP maps and ligand-receptor interactions were used to investigate key structural features required for biological activities and likely interactions between N-11-azaartemisinins and heme, respectively. The supervised machine learning methods allowed the separation of the investigated compounds into two classes: cha and cla, with the properties ε<sub>LUMO+1</sub> (one level above lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy), d(C<sub>6</sub>-C<sub>5</sub>) (distance between C<sub>6</sub> and C<sub>5</sub> atoms in ligands), and TSA (total surface area) responsible for the classification. The insights extracted from the investigation developed and the chemical intuition enabled the design of sixteen new N-11-azaartemisinins (prediction set), moreover, models built with supervised machine learning methods were applied to this prediction set. The result of this application showed twelve new promising N-11-azaartemisinins for synthesis and biological evaluation.展开更多

The Chengbei (#)11 offshore platform, which lies in the Shengli oilfield, is designed by use of the above optimum design model. The results show that the optimum design model is stable, and it depends on neither the optimization algorithm nor initial values of design variables. All values of the objective function converge to the same minimum value, and the speed of convergence is high, showing that the proposed optimum design model is reasonable.展开更多

Background With an increasing number of vehicles becoming autonomous,intelligent,and connected,paying attention to the future usage of car human-machine interface with these vehicles should become more relevant.Severa...Background With an increasing number of vehicles becoming autonomous,intelligent,and connected,paying attention to the future usage of car human-machine interface with these vehicles should become more relevant.Several studies have addressed car HMI but were less attentive to designing and implementing interactive glazing for every day(autonomous)driving contexts.Methods Reflecting on the literature,we describe an engineering psychology practice and the design of six novel future user scenarios,which envision the application of a specific set of augmented reality(AR)support user interactions.Additionally,we conduct evaluations on specific scenarios and experiential prototypes,which reveal that these AR scenarios aid the target user groups in experiencing a new type of interaction.The overall evaluation is positive with valuable assessment results and suggestions.Conclusions This study can interest applied psychology educators who aspire to teach how AR can be operationalized in a human-centered design process to students with minimal pre-existing expertise or minimal scientific knowledge in engineering psychology.展开更多
Rational architecture design has turned out to be an effective strategy in improving the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for batteries.However,an elaborate structure that could simultaneously endow ...Rational architecture design has turned out to be an effective strategy in improving the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for batteries.However,an elaborate structure that could simultaneously endow active materials with promoted reaction reversibility,accelerated kinetic and restricted volume change still remains a huge challenge.Herein,a novel chemical interaction motivated structure design strategy has been proposed,and a chemically bonded Co(CO_(3))_(0.5)OH·0.11 H_(2)O@MXene(CoCH@MXene)layered-composite was fabricated for the first time.In such a composite,the chemical interaction between Co^(2+)and MXene drives the growth of smaller-sized CoCH crystals and the subsequent formation of interwoven CoCH wires sandwiched in-between MXene nanosheets.This unique layered structure not only encourages charge transfer for faster reaction dynamics,but buffers the volume change of CoCH during lithiation-delithiation process,owing to the confined crystal growth between conductive MXene layers with the help of chemical bonding.Besides,the sandwiched interwoven CoCH wires also prevent the stacking of MXene layers,further conducive to the electrochemical performance of the composite.As a result,the as-prepared CoCH@MXene anode demonstrates a high reversible capacity(903.1 mAh g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1))and excellent cycling stability(maintains 733.6 mAh g^(-1)at1000 mA g^(-1)after 500 cycles)for lithium ion batteries.This work highlights a novel concept of layerby-layer chemical interaction motivated architecture design for futuristic high performance electrode materials in energy storage systems.展开更多

Background Virtual reality(VR)in healthcare training has increased adoption and support,but efforts are still required to mitigate usability concerns.Methods This study conducted a usability study of an in-use emergen...Background Virtual reality(VR)in healthcare training has increased adoption and support,but efforts are still required to mitigate usability concerns.Methods This study conducted a usability study of an in-use emergency medicine VR training application,available on commercially available VR hardware and with a standard interaction design.Nine users without prior VR experience but with relevant medical expertise completed two simulation scenarios for a total of 18 recorded sessions.They completed NASA Task Load Index and System Usability Scale questionnaires after each session,and their performance was recorded for the tracking of user errors.Results and Conclusions Our results showed a medium(and potentially optimal)Workload and an above average System Usability Score.There was significant improvement in several factors between users'first and second sessions,notably increased Performance evaluation.User errors with the strongest correlation to usability were not directly tied to interaction design,however,but to a limited'possibility space'.Suggestions for closing this'gulf of execution'were presented,including'voice control'and'hand-tracking',which are only feasible for this commercial product now with the availability of the Oculus Quest headset.Moreover,wider implications for VR medical training were outlined,and potential next steps towards a standardized design identified.展开更多

Moreover, user centered design moves the focus towards interaction issues. Prototyping activities matching such characteristics are already available, but they are not so diffused in the industrial domain. This is due to many reasons;an important one is that a rigorous classification of them is missing, as well as an effective helping tool for the selection of the best activities, given the design context. The research described in this paper aims at defining a new classification of prototyping activities, as well as at developing a selection algorithm to choose the best ones in an automatic way. These goals are pursued by defining a set of characteristics that allow describing accurately the prototyping activities. The resulting classification is made by five classes, based on eighteen characteristics. This classification is exploited by the first release of an algorithm for the selection of the best activities, chosen in order to satisfy design situations described thanks to a different set of eleven indices. Five experiences in the field have been used up to now as a starting point for validating the research outcomes.展开更多

文摘Background With an increasing number of vehicles becoming autonomous,intelligent,and connected,paying attention to the future usage of car human-machine interface with these vehicles should become more relevant.Several studies have addressed car HMI but were less attentive to designing and implementing interactive glazing for every day(autonomous)driving contexts.Methods Reflecting on the literature,we describe an engineering psychology practice and the design of six novel future user scenarios,which envision the application of a specific set of augmented reality(AR)support user interactions.Additionally,we conduct evaluations on specific scenarios and experiential prototypes,which reveal that these AR scenarios aid the target user groups in experiencing a new type of interaction.The overall evaluation is positive with valuable assessment results and suggestions.Conclusions This study can interest applied psychology educators who aspire to teach how AR can be operationalized in a human-centered design process to students with minimal pre-existing expertise or minimal scientific knowledge in engineering psychology.

文摘Rational architecture design has turned out to be an effective strategy in improving the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for batteries.However,an elaborate structure that could simultaneously endow active materials with promoted reaction reversibility,accelerated kinetic and restricted volume change still remains a huge challenge.Herein,a novel chemical interaction motivated structure design strategy has been proposed,and a chemically bonded Co(CO_(3))_(0.5)OH·0.11 H_(2)O@MXene(CoCH@MXene)layered-composite was fabricated for the first time.In such a composite,the chemical interaction between Co^(2+)and MXene drives the growth of smaller-sized CoCH crystals and the subsequent formation of interwoven CoCH wires sandwiched in-between MXene nanosheets.This unique layered structure not only encourages charge transfer for faster reaction dynamics,but buffers the volume change of CoCH during lithiation-delithiation process,owing to the confined crystal growth between conductive MXene layers with the help of chemical bonding.Besides,the sandwiched interwoven CoCH wires also prevent the stacking of MXene layers,further conducive to the electrochemical performance of the composite.As a result,the as-prepared CoCH@MXene anode demonstrates a high reversible capacity(903.1 mAh g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1))and excellent cycling stability(maintains 733.6 mAh g^(-1)at1000 mA g^(-1)after 500 cycles)for lithium ion batteries.This work highlights a novel concept of layerby-layer chemical interaction motivated architecture design for futuristic high performance electrode materials in energy storage systems.
文摘Intelligent personal assistants play a pivotal role in in-vehicle systems,significantly enhancing life efficiency,driving safety,and decision-making support.In this study,the multi-modal design elements of intelligent personal assistants within the context of visual,auditory,and somatosensory interactions with drivers were discussed.Their impact on the driver’s psychological state through various modes such as visual imagery,voice interaction,and gesture interaction were explored.The study also introduced innovative designs for in-vehicle intelligent personal assistants,incorporating design principles such as driver-centricity,prioritizing passenger safety,and utilizing timely feedback as a criterion.Additionally,the study employed design methods like driver behavior research and driving situation analysis to enhance the emotional connection between drivers and their vehicles,ultimately improving driver satisfaction and trust.

文摘Background Virtual reality(VR)in healthcare training has increased adoption and support,but efforts are still required to mitigate usability concerns.Methods This study conducted a usability study of an in-use emergency medicine VR training application,available on commercially available VR hardware and with a standard interaction design.Nine users without prior VR experience but with relevant medical expertise completed two simulation scenarios for a total of 18 recorded sessions.They completed NASA Task Load Index and System Usability Scale questionnaires after each session,and their performance was recorded for the tracking of user errors.Results and Conclusions Our results showed a medium(and potentially optimal)Workload and an above average System Usability Score.There was significant improvement in several factors between users'first and second sessions,notably increased Performance evaluation.User errors with the strongest correlation to usability were not directly tied to interaction design,however,but to a limited'possibility space'.Suggestions for closing this'gulf of execution'were presented,including'voice control'and'hand-tracking',which are only feasible for this commercial product now with the availability of the Oculus Quest headset.Moreover,wider implications for VR medical training were outlined,and potential next steps towards a standardized design identified.
文摘In recent years,embodied cognition has ushered in a new research upsurge in the academic field,and has become a hot topic in the field of cognitive psychology.In this paper,from the perspective of embodied cognition,the interaction ways of a landscape device for children were discussed to achieve a more real and harmonious interaction between children and scenes.The research data of embodied cognition used by children was analyzed,and the drawbacks and breakthrough points of current landscape devices for children were discussed.The core characteristics of children’s growth period were extracted to establish children’s interaction model and summarize the interactive design methods of landscape devices for children.Embodied cognition has become the most intuitive way for children to know and understand the environment,and plays a pivotal role in children’s growth.Based on embodied cognition principle and interactive behavior mode,the interactive design of a landscape device for children was studied,and three interactive design modes,including simple and convenient interaction mode,multi-sensory interaction mode and game natural interaction mode were summarized.On the basis of this research,relevant design practice and research were carried out to bring a new vision to the design of children’s landscape.
文摘Because of the evolution of markets and technologies, prototyping concerns should be kept updated almost day by day. Moreover, user centered design moves the focus towards interaction issues. Prototyping activities matching such characteristics are already available, but they are not so diffused in the industrial domain. This is due to many reasons;an important one is that a rigorous classification of them is missing, as well as an effective helping tool for the selection of the best activities, given the design context. The research described in this paper aims at defining a new classification of prototyping activities, as well as at developing a selection algorithm to choose the best ones in an automatic way. These goals are pursued by defining a set of characteristics that allow describing accurately the prototyping activities. The resulting classification is made by five classes, based on eighteen characteristics. This classification is exploited by the first release of an algorithm for the selection of the best activities, chosen in order to satisfy design situations described thanks to a different set of eleven indices. Five experiences in the field have been used up to now as a starting point for validating the research outcomes.
文摘With the popularity of new intelligent mobile devices in people’s lives,the development of mobile applications has paid increasing attention to the interactive experience of users.As the content of traditional Human-Computer Interaction(HCI)course and teaching material is out of date,it cannot meet the needs of mobile application interaction design and enterprises for students.Therefore,we need a new generation HCI course based on intelligent mobile devices to study the relationship between users and systems.The HCI course not only teaches students HCI theory and model,but also needs to cultivate students’interaction-oriented design practical ability.This paper proposes a set of HCI teaching material design and teaching methods for improving HCI class quality on mobile application interaction design,so as to make students more suitable for the employment requirements of enterprises.

The emergence of interactive landscape provides a new method for the renewal and development of landscape environment, and becomes a new way to deal with the relationship between human and landscape environment. In this paper, from the perspective of interactivity, the application achievements of interactive environmental design were analyzed from three aspects of interactive relationship, interactive forms and landscape functions, and the development space and great potential of interactivity theory in environmental design were discussed to provide reference for subsequent relevant research.
文摘This thorough review explores the complexities of geotechnical engineering, emphasizing soil-structure interaction (SSI). The investigation centers on sheet pile design, examining two primary methodologies: Limit Equilibrium Methods (LEM) and Soil-Structure Interaction Methods (SSIM). While LEM methods, grounded in classical principles, provide valuable insights for preliminary design considerations, they may encounter limitations in addressing real-world complexities. In contrast, SSIM methods, including the SSI-SR approach, introduce precision and depth to the field. By employing numerical techniques such as Finite Element (FE) and Finite Difference (FD) analyses, these methods enable engineers to navigate the dynamics of soil-structure interaction. The exploration extends to SSI-FE, highlighting its essential role in civil engineering. By integrating Finite Element analysis with considerations for soil-structure interaction, the SSI-FE method offers a holistic understanding of how structures dynamically interact with their geotechnical environment. Throughout this exploration, the study dissects critical components governing SSIM methods, providing engineers with tools to navigate the intricate landscape of geotechnical design. The study acknowledges the significance of the Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model while recognizing its limitations, and guiding practitioners toward informed decision-making in geotechnical analyses. As the article concludes, it underscores the importance of continuous learning and innovation for the future of geotechnical engineering. With advancing technology and an evolving understanding of soil-structure interaction, the study remains committed to ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of geotechnical structures through cutting-edge design and analysis techniques.

文摘In this paper, we conduct research on development of aesthetic interaction and interaction design theory and the applications on art design fi eld. In this article to discuss the experience and the depth of the aesthetic object is limited in the fi eld of aesthetics, although both clearly show their subject or object, but if points in general is easy to fall into the quagmire of subjective idealism and mechanical materialism, it is off the aesthetic realm. It is on the basis of the unity between subject and object of this essay, it is in this, experience and the depth of the aesthetic object is worth exploring the intersection. Organizational communication and the reception aesthetics in their own unique research perspective and multi-disciplinary background, in the organization and the role of aesthetic gradually revealed, integration and interaction of the two is the inevitable trend of development. Under this basis, we propose the corresponding issues as the implementation that is meaningful.
