BACKGROUND Cancer presents a significant public health challenge in China,necessitating broad collaboration across society.The Chinese government has articulated a goal to increase the overall five-year survival rate ...BACKGROUND Cancer presents a significant public health challenge in China,necessitating broad collaboration across society.The Chinese government has articulated a goal to increase the overall five-year survival rate for cancer by 15%by 2030.Achieving this objective requires not only advances in medical technology,but also an im-provement in the dissemination of knowledge pertaining to cancer prevention and treatment.AIM To provide a comprehensive understanding of the status of cancer prevention and level of popularization in China in 2023.METHODS From January 2023 to May 2023,online questionnaires were distributed to 3000 participants,including medical personnel,patients with cancer,their families,and the general public.There were 2711 valid responses,covering the entire nation.RESULTS A total of 1020 medical personnel and 1691 patients with cancer,their family members,and the general public participated in the survey.Among medical personnel,93.2%had popularized cancer health.Commonly addressed topics included cancer prevention(85.9%)and cancer screening(77.8%).Primary challenges included time constraints(73.9%),insufficient personnel and material support(66.7%),and uncertainty as to where to begin(49.3%).Among patients with cancer,their family members,and the general public,93.4%reported reading or watching cancer science popularization materials and 56.9%expressed a desire for deeper understanding.The most sought-after topics in cancer science popularization included cancer screening(80.2%)and cancer prevention(75.8%).The greatest challenge encountered in accessing cancer health popularization was an abundance of misinformation(67.5%).CONCLUSION Most clinical doctors,patients,family,and the general public wish to participate in cancer education.However,improvement in the quality of content in cancer prevention and treatment education is required.展开更多
By using evacuation simulation technology and taking North China University of Technology as an example,the barrier-free evacuation design scheme for groups with different needs in campus environment was deeply discus...By using evacuation simulation technology and taking North China University of Technology as an example,the barrier-free evacuation design scheme for groups with different needs in campus environment was deeply discussed.Based on the data of building layout,population composition,road system and distribution of shelters in the school,a detailed evacuation model was constructed in the Pathfinder emergency evacuation simulation system.By the simulation during the daytime and at night,the total evacuation time of the whole school,evacuation completion time of each building,selection of evacuation paths and shelter utilization were analyzed in detail.The simulation results show that the distribution of shelters on campus is uneven,and their capacity is limited.As a result,the evacuation paths of the disabled,the elderly and children need to be adjusted frequently,which affects the overall evacuation efficiency.In view of this,the optimization strategies of road renovation and entrances of shelters and buildings were put forward from the perspective of space planning.From the perspective of emergency management,it is suggested to improve the campus evacuation infrastructure and strengthen the evacuation drill for teachers and students.These results provide a solid theoretical support for enhancing the construction of campus barrier-free environment and improving the level of emergency management.展开更多

However, among the target audience for comprehensive myopia prevention and control, the preschool children group has been neglected, and the work of myopia prevention and control for this group has been significantly weakened and marginalized. Due to insufficient awareness of prevention and control, the hyperopia reserve in the preschool children group is being continuously depleted, leading to the early onset of myopia. However, to date, most of the studies and applications have focused on science, the private sec- tor and government. A DE-supported online oceanic educational public service and popularization system, iOcean, is studied. First, the vision for the public's engagement with "digital ocean" is described: an analysis is presented from four aspects, i.e., the space dimension, the time dimension, the state dimension and its relationship with human beings. Second, the technical framework of iOcean is discussed, including data updating and model computing, the data, the function, and the application layers. Third, two key technolo- gies are studied in detail that will enable the construction of iOcean. More than half a million public viewers have used the current version's website. Practical demonstrations show that iOcean can bring virtual oceans to web browsers and desktops and construct a bridge between government departments and the general public.展开更多

In order to develop the enterprise, it is essential to forecast the level ofinteraction that a new post would receive from social media users. It is possiblefor the user’s interest in any one social media post to be impacted by external factors or to dwindle as a result of changes in his behaviour. The popularity detectionstrategies that are user-based or population-based are unable to keep up with theseshifts, which leads to inaccurate forecasts. This work makes a prediction abouthow popular the post will be and addresses any anomalies caused by factors outside of the study. A novel improved PARAFAC (A-PARAFAC) method that istensor factorization-based has been presented in order to cope with the user criteria that will be used in the future to rate any project. We consolidated the information on the historically popular content, and we accelerated the computation bychoosing the top contents that were most like each other. The tensor is factorisedwith the application of the Adam optimization. It has been modified such that thebias is now included in the gradient function of A-PARAFAC, and the value ofthe bias is updated after each iteration. The prediction accuracy is improved by32.25% with this strategy compared to other state of the art methods.展开更多

We will look into the program Bit@bit developed by Television de Catalunya, which is intended to disseminate computer concepts, tools and procedures. In this kind of program, one can find spoken language (on/off screen voices, interviews, etc.), other oral material (sounds, music, songs), written language (descriptions, title sequences, inserts and Uniform Resource Locator, or electronic addresses), and other visual material (film cut images, advertising, other TV programs, cartoons, films, both location or studio images, depicting reality, or computer screens, or logotypes). The profusion of multimodal elements used in this program helps to keep the young audience's attention. The use of references to their world or knowledge, as a target group, is based on interplay among different semiotic strategies. At the same time, the entire program's multi-segmentation into short video clips, combined with a fast paced sound track helps its audience to understand the specialized explanations presented. Of all the multimodal wealth that the program presents, we will concentrate only on the relationship between the words and the images (leaving other secondary semiotics to one side), the main strategy for achieving the objective of transmitting knowledge and winning adolescent audiences.展开更多

文摘In China,there are 544,000 sudden deaths each year.Cardiac arrest is one of the most common causes of sudden death,and 70%of cardiac arrests occur outside the hospital.[1,2]However,fewer than 1%of bystanders at cardiac arrest deaths in China are well-trained and capable of administering first aid.[3]Therefore,it is urgent to popularize first-aid knowledge in the Chinese population.

文摘According to the initial vision of "digital earth" (DE), the public should constitute a significant proportion of its users. However, to date, most of the studies and applications have focused on science, the private sec- tor and government. A DE-supported online oceanic educational public service and popularization system, iOcean, is studied. First, the vision for the public's engagement with "digital ocean" is described: an analysis is presented from four aspects, i.e., the space dimension, the time dimension, the state dimension and its relationship with human beings. Second, the technical framework of iOcean is discussed, including data updating and model computing, the data, the function, and the application layers. Third, two key technolo- gies are studied in detail that will enable the construction of iOcean. More than half a million public viewers have used the current version's website. Practical demonstrations show that iOcean can bring virtual oceans to web browsers and desktops and construct a bridge between government departments and the general public.

Based on analyzing the challenges faced by Hubei meteorological science popularization work,the suggestions of Hubei meteorological science popularization work during the " 13 th five-year" period are proposed from four aspects: further optimize operation mechanism of meteorological science popularization work,and improve work efficiency; combine full-time and part-time teams,and promote the fighting capacity of the science popularization team; adapt to the demand of multimedia publicity,and expand the connotation of popular science creation; build brand,and create a stereoscopic science popularization network.
文摘With the aging of society,special groups have had increasing needs of integrating into social life,and higher requirements on life quality,and the society has attached increasing importance to barrier-free design.Taking public rental housing for example,both circulation space and furniture design have to fully consider needs of special groups such as the seniors and the disabled.Barrier-free design in living spaces can help improve their ability of self-care,reduce their dependence on family members,fully demonstrate the"human-centered"design concept of public rental housing,and show the designers’sense of social responsibility.

文摘The control of Coleophora dahurica Flkv. by ULV spraying rare oil of malathior was popularized in lnner Mongolia Daxing’an Mountains in 1992-1993. The control area was 32744.3hm2, which was 98.2% of the suitable control area in Inner Mongolia Daxing’an Mountains and 75%of the suitable area in Inner Mongolia respectively. Dosage was 1125 g/hm2. Control effectiveness was above 95%, the larvae density decreased from 52.5 to 0.94 per 50cm sample twig and direct economical benefit was 3,935,420 Chinese yuan.
文摘The traditional method of doing business has been disrupted by socialmedia. In order to develop the enterprise, it is essential to forecast the level ofinteraction that a new post would receive from social media users. It is possiblefor the user’s interest in any one social media post to be impacted by external factors or to dwindle as a result of changes in his behaviour. The popularity detectionstrategies that are user-based or population-based are unable to keep up with theseshifts, which leads to inaccurate forecasts. This work makes a prediction abouthow popular the post will be and addresses any anomalies caused by factors outside of the study. A novel improved PARAFAC (A-PARAFAC) method that istensor factorization-based has been presented in order to cope with the user criteria that will be used in the future to rate any project. We consolidated the information on the historically popular content, and we accelerated the computation bychoosing the top contents that were most like each other. The tensor is factorisedwith the application of the Adam optimization. It has been modified such that thebias is now included in the gradient function of A-PARAFAC, and the value ofthe bias is updated after each iteration. The prediction accuracy is improved by32.25% with this strategy compared to other state of the art methods.

文摘Based on the needs of regional industrial development and technical personnel training,the training base for technical skill as the core function has effectively enhanced the development of vocational education.However,at present,the training base in vocational colleges is mainly applied for students’teaching,and the overall utilization rate is low.It is of great importance in the rational application of software and hardware resources onto the training base to widely carry out popular science activities.The importance of training base construction and scientific popularization is expounded.On this basis,the research team took the S&T racing training base as a case to study its expandable scientific popularization function.The practice results show that using the resources of the training base to carry out scientific popularization activities can greatly improve teenagers’interest in automobile technology.More training bases in vocational colleges should expand the function of scientific popularization.

Taking Science Popularization and Education Hall of Jiangxi Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve for example, this paper explored the architectural design in mountain landscapes from the perspectives of spatial form, facade design, color materials and design experience, in order to achieve the integration of landscape constructions and natural environment.

文摘To more vigorously promote Beijing culture internationally is bothan essential link in the strategy to turn Beijing into a cultural center and an international exchange center. This promotion would also serve as a critical step to advance the cultural development and internationalization of Beijing. As an important group of foreigners living in Beijing, foreign students can play a unique part in upgrading Beijing culture' s international influence.These students look at Beijing culture from a cross-cultural standpoint and thus can offer a vital reference for the international promotion effort. Using a combination of questionnaires and interviews, the author surveyed international students in seven Beijing universities that have a relatively high number of foreign students. Based on this firsthand data, this paper analyzes the Beijing-based international students' identity with Beijing culture, reflects on the experiences and inadequacies in the current promotion of Beijing culture, and makes relevant suggestions regarding the inadequacies.

文摘The aim of this work is to study the interaction of spoken words and images that are used within programs targeted to popularize knowledge among teenagers. We will look into the program Bit@bit developed by Television de Catalunya, which is intended to disseminate computer concepts, tools and procedures. In this kind of program, one can find spoken language (on/off screen voices, interviews, etc.), other oral material (sounds, music, songs), written language (descriptions, title sequences, inserts and Uniform Resource Locator, or electronic addresses), and other visual material (film cut images, advertising, other TV programs, cartoons, films, both location or studio images, depicting reality, or computer screens, or logotypes). The profusion of multimodal elements used in this program helps to keep the young audience's attention. The use of references to their world or knowledge, as a target group, is based on interplay among different semiotic strategies. At the same time, the entire program's multi-segmentation into short video clips, combined with a fast paced sound track helps its audience to understand the specialized explanations presented. Of all the multimodal wealth that the program presents, we will concentrate only on the relationship between the words and the images (leaving other secondary semiotics to one side), the main strategy for achieving the objective of transmitting knowledge and winning adolescent audiences.
