Challenges of Bioethics Education in Pediatric Basic Nursing Education: A Faculty Perspective

In the field of pediatric nursing, in the perinatal period, numerous ethical issues arise alongside the advancement of medical technology. However, sufficient education on bioethics is not provided in the pediatric nursing domain of basic nursing education. The purpose of this research is to examine the current status of bioethics education in the pediatric nursing domain of basic nursing education and explore the challenges perceived by the pediatric nursing faculty regarding bioethics education. The research method was a questionnaire survey on 100 randomly selected pediatric nursing faculty members from nursing universities across Japan. The results revealed that although bioethics issues were considered important, the emphasis remained primarily on addressing bioethics as part of nursing that respects children’s rights. Furthermore, respondents expressed difficulties regarding teaching methods and content related to bioethics.

Sectoral standards publicized at World Digital Education Conference

Educational Situation： Some Preliminary Remarks on a Basic Concept of Education Studies

When educationalists are asked to define their own academic discipline of Education Studies, they often struggle to reach a common understanding. From an epistemological point of view, this indeterminacy leads back to the complex considerations involved in establishing a basic concept of education. In this article, the author explores in a preliminary fashion the possibility of identifying the essence of education in its performativity as an occurrence in context that always precedes and supersedes our theoretical considerations of it. Education is not to be understood primarily as something conceptual （theory） but rather in terms of its significance as a situational event （reality）. Educational reality thus informs educational theory and this relationship implies a knowledge-ethical surplus of the former as an inexhaustible source for the latter.

Universal Basic Education and National Development:Issues and the Way Out

Education has been identified as one of the best financial investitment any government can make.Education is a human right and indispensible means of realising other human right..Studies has shown that a good basic education is a sine qua non for subsequent progress in the life of an average citezen.The Nationalm Policy on Education 2004 opined that basic education is the key to the success or failure of the whole system since the rest of the education is built on it.A good basic education provides a background and foundation that gruarantees better educational attainment in the future.The Universal Declarattion of Human Right in article 13(1)of the convention stated that“education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality”.It also added in Article 13(2)that primary education must be universal,ensure that basic learning needs of all children are satisfied and take into account the culture,needs and opportunities of the community.The above stated policies and conventions have serious implication for the financing and management of educational programmes and provision of funds for the realization of the objectives of basic education.Based on this therefore,the paper focused on the discusion of brief over view of universal primary education,conceptual clarification,impact of universal basic education on national development,issues in universal basic education and national developmen.The papewr finally made some suggestions on the way out in solving problems facing universal basic education in Nigeria.

Reflection on the Quality and Equity of Chinese Basic Education--From PISA 2018 Results: Where All Students Can Succeed

PISA 2018 Results:Where All Students Can Succeed analyzes students’academic performance and wellbeing from the social background of students and schools.It shows that the influence of socio-economic status on the academic performance of students in Beijing,Shanghai,Jiangsu and Zhejiang(China)(hereafter“B-S-J-Z[China]”)is relatively low,but disadvantaged students receive insufficient support from school;socio-economic segregation between schools in B-S-J-Z(China)affects students’academic performance and expectations for the future;the shortage of quality teachers in B-S-J-Z(China)is serious,but the teaching resources are sufficient.According to PISA 2018,China should promote balanced development among schools,strengthen teachers’education,adhere to curriculum and teaching reform,so as to promote education equity and improve education quality.

The First Exploration on Basic Education Reform of University Computer

With the development of society, the demand for comprehensive talents of computer technology in all walks of life is increasing, and the basic computer education mode and teaching content of traditional college have been difficult to meet the needs of the development of students, also can't satisfy students' thirst for computer knowledge, and the teaching effect and teaching quality are deficient. Therefore, it is imperative to strengthen the basic computer education of universities. Fundamentally improving the level of the students' computer, changing the traditional teaching method and teaching content, blending in the innovative teaching ideas, reforming and innovating the basic computer teaching, are the main tasks of China's basic computer education in colleges and universities in the next moment. This paper discusses the problems existing in basic computer teaching in universities, and puts forward the reform contents of basic computer education, and hopes to further promote the development of basic computer education in China.

A CDA Approach to Understanding Chinese Basic Education Reform From Sino-US News Reports

It has been about one decade since China takes effect the basic education reform, and this study chooses 14 news reports about Chinese basic education reform in the recent years from both America and China as the research samples, and analyzes the samples from the perspective of critical discourse analysis （CDA） to show whether there are differences in the two countries＇ news reports. The samples in this study are selected from the official websites of the two countries. Among the American news reports, some reports from New York Times and others from CNN; while among the Chinese reports, some are from China Daily and others are from CCTV. Under the theoretical framework of CDA, this paper is based on Fairclough＇s three-dimensional modes, and chooses Halliday＇s systemic-functional grammar as the analytical tool. It aims to reveal the hidden relationship between news reports language and ideology as well as power through the contrastive analysis. Through the analysis it finds out that the power relations and ideologies tend to exist in news reports on the issue of Chinese basic education reform. The purposes of news reports are not only to provide the latest information to readers, but also to influence the readers ideologies and at last even to control the readers＇ ideologies through reading of the very issue

On the Inconspicuousness of Indigenous African Languages: The Case of IsiZulu Linguistic Integration in KwaZulu-Natal’s Basic Education Sector

This paper investigates the challenges associated with the inconspicuousness of indigenous African languages in the South African education system,as established during empirical research conducted by the author for his PhD thesis.According to the findings of the research,integrating indigenous African languages in the basic education sector is a key strategic shift that should be considered for it could fast-track efforts to elevate and promote indigenous African languages as media of educational instruction.These languages have been discriminated against for decades,since the era of colonisation and Apartheid South Africa.Despite attempts by the democratic government,through transformative legislative frameworks,African languages are inconspicuous within the education sector.Institutions of learning have developed multilingual language policies yet their implementation remains a problem.Based on the critical review of the literature on indigenous African languages,and with a focus on information and communication technology(ICT),the paper investigates policy opportunities and challenges.The paper concludes by assessing the low profile of indigenous languages in education,and its likely impact on the high failure rate in South African schools.

Cultivating Learners' thinking Abilities in Foreign Language Teaching with Respect to Approaches of Reform in Basic Education

Thinking ability of a man, which is the core of wisdom, participates in and dominates all the intellectual activities. This study, pursued on the ontological and practical level, is aimed at cultivating learners ' thinking abilities in foreign language teaching(FLT)in basic education of China. Practical Promotion of Basic Education to Reduce Burden and Improve Quality of Thinking and Suggestions

How to effectively implement the work of reducing the burden of basic education has been concerned by people.By using the knowledge of game theory,this paper analyzes the behavioral goals of the relevant subjects in reducing the burden of basic education,and puts forward some suggestions.We should change the"focus"to"characteristics"and guide the diversified development of primary and secondary education.By adjusting the matching degree of various levels of education,the pressure of entering school can be reduced.Through social reform,the interests of different classes were adjusted and the residual negative influence of imperial examination culture was eliminated,so as to successfully remove the stumbling block of"excessive academic burden"in the educational reform of the new era and create conditions for cultivating a large number of outstanding talents needed for national development and national rejuvenation.

Observation of the effect of one-to-one education on high-risk cases of diabetic foot

BACKGROUND Diabetes is a common chronic disease,and its global incidence is on the rise.The disease is directly attributed to insufficient insulin efficacy/secretion,and patients are often accompanied by multiple complications.Diabetic foot is one of the most common complications of diabetes.Diabetic feet have ulcers and infections,which can eventually lead to amputation.Basic nursing care,such as lowering blood pressure and preventing foot skin infections in clinical nursing work,has positive significance for the prevention and control of diabetic feet.AIM To explore the positive significance of one-to-one education in high-risk cases of diabetic foot.METHODS This observation included 98 high-risk cases of diabetic foot in our hospital during the period from August 2017 to October 2019,and these patients were randomly divided into the basic nursing group and the one-to-one education group with 49 patients per group.The basic nursing group only received routine basic nursing,while the one-to-one education group gave patients one-to-one education on the basis of basic nursing.After nursing,the self-care ability and compliance behavior of the two groups were evaluated and compared between these two groups.The knowledge mastery of the patient and the satisfaction of nursing were accounted.RESULTS The assessment results of patients(self-care responsibility,self-care skills,selfconcept and self-care knowledge)were significantly higher in the one-to-one education group than in the basic nursing group.The scores of compliance behaviors(foot bathing,shoes and socks selection,sports health care)in the oneto-one education group were significantly higher than those in the basic nursing group.Patients in the one-to-one education group had a significantly higher level of knowledge mastery and satisfaction of nursing than the basic nursing group.CONCLUSION One-to-one education for high-risk cases of diabetic foot is helpful to improve the cognition and self-care ability of patients with diabetic foot,to ensure that patients follow the doctor’s advice of self-care and to improve their nursing satisfaction.
