To address the frequency fluctuation problem caused by the power dynamic imbalance between the power system and the loadwhen a large number of newenergy sources are connected to the grid,a two-layer fuzzy control strategy is proposed for the participation of the energy storage battery system in FM.Firstly,considering the coordination of FM units responding to automatic power generation control commands,a comprehensive allocation strategy of two signals under automatic power generation control commands is proposed to give full play to the advantages of two FM signals while enabling better coordination of two FM units responding to FM commands;secondly,based on the grid FM demand and battery FM capability,a double-layer fuzzy control strategy is proposed for FM units responding to automatic power generation control commands in a coordinated manner under dual-signal allocation mode to precisely allocate the power output depth of FM units,which can control the fluctuation of frequency deviation within a smaller range at a faster speed while maintaining the battery charge state;finally,the proposed Finally,the proposed control strategy is simulated and verified inMatlab/Simulink.The results show that the proposed control strategy can control the frequency deviation within a smaller range in a shorter time,better stabilize the fluctuation of the battery charge level,and improve the utilization of the FM unit. 展开更多

This work presents a novel coordinated control strategy of a hybrid photovoltaic/battery energy storage(PV/BES) system. Different controller operation modes are simulated considering normal, high fluctuation and emergency conditions. When the system is grid-connected, BES regulates the fluctuated power output which ensures smooth net injected power from the PV/BES system. In islanded operation, BES system is transferred to single master operation during which the frequency and voltage of the islanded microgrid are regulated at the desired level. PSCAD/EMTDC simulation validates the proposed method and obtained favorable results on power set-point tracking strategies with very small deviations of net output power compared to the power set-point. The state-of-charge regulation scheme also very effective with SOC has been regulated between 32% and 79% range. 展开更多

风电功率的间歇与波动致使电场容量可信度低、可调度性差;同时易引起局部电网的电压不稳、频率波动,影响了系统的电能质量及稳定性。针对此现象,将超级电容器与蓄电池组成快速储能装置,用于风电的潮流优化控制。采用三重双向直流变... 风电功率的间歇与波动致使电场容量可信度低、可调度性差;同时易引起局部电网的电压不稳、频率波动,影响了系统的电能质量及稳定性。针对此现象,将超级电容器与蓄电池组成快速储能装置,用于风电的潮流优化控制。采用三重双向直流变换电路控制储能元件间的功率流动;采用四象限交直流变换电路控制储能与电网间的能量交换。提出基于超级电容器电压低频波动抑制的功率分配方法,可显著减少蓄电池的充放次数;提出基于储能元件荷电状态的储能能量调整规则,可避免储能元件的过充和频繁深度放电,以优化其功率调节能力。实验结果表明,系统可实现2种储能元件的优势互补,能有效平滑调节风电注入电网的有功功率,并实时补偿控制风电接入点的无功功率。 展开更多

A PI+R Control Scheme Based on Multi-Agent Systems for Economic Dispatch in Isolated BESSs

Battery energy storage systems(BESSs)are widely used in smart grids.However,power consumed by inner impedance and the capacity degradation of each battery unit become particularly severe,which has resulted in an increase in operating costs.The general economic dispatch(ED)algorithm based on marginal cost(MC)consensus is usually a proportional(P)controller,which encounters the defects of slow convergence speed and low control accuracy.In order to solve the distributed ED problem of the isolated BESS network with excellent dynamic and steady-state performance,we attempt to design a proportional integral(PI)controller with a reset mechanism(PI+R)to asymptotically promote MC consensus and total power mismatch towards 0 in this paper.To be frank,the integral term in the PI controller is reset to 0 at an appropriate time when the proportional term undergoes a zero crossing,which accelerates convergence,improves control accuracy,and avoids overshoot.The eigenvalues of the system under a PI+R controller is well analyzed,ensuring the regularity of the system and enabling the reset mechanism.To ensure supply and demand balance within the isolated BESSs,a centralized reset mechanism is introduced,so that the controller is distributed in a flow set and centralized in a jump set.To cope with Zeno behavior and input delay,a dwell time that the system resides in a flow set is given.Based on this,the system with input delays can be reduced to a time-delay free system.Considering the capacity limitation of the battery,a modified MC scheme with PI+R controller is designed.The correctness of the designed scheme is verified through relevant simulations. 展开更多

Variable distributed energy resources (DERs) such as photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind power systems require additional power resources to control the balance between supply and demand. Battery energy storage systems (BESSs) are one such possible resource for providing grid stability. It has been proposed that decentralized BESSs could help support microgrids (MGs) with intelligent control when advanced functionalities are implemented with variable DERs. One key challenge is developing and testing smart inverter controls for DERs. This paper presents a standardized method to test the interoperability and functionality of BESSs. First, a survey of grid-support standards prevalent in several countries was conducted. Then, the following four interoperability functions defined in IEC TR 61850-90-7 were tested: the specified active power from storage test (INV4), the var-priority Volt/VAR test (VV) and the specified power factor test (INV3) and frequency-watt control (FW). This paper presents the issue of the Sub-synchronous resonance(SSR)phenomenon in a series compensated DFIG-based wind power plant and its alleviation using a Battery Energy Storage-based Damping Controller(BESSDCL).A supplementary damping signal is developed considering the angular speed deviation and is incorporated into the BESS control system.Wide-area Measurement System data is used to determine the angular speed deviation.A lin-earized system model is developed to perform eigenvalue analysis,and to detect and examine unstable SSR modes.The variation of wind speed and three-phase fault are also taken into consideration to validate the robustness of the controller.To further verify the efficacy of the proposed damping controller,time-domain simulations are performed using MATLAB/Simulink.The application of the proposed BESSDCL stabilizes all the unstable system modes effectively at wind speeds of 7 m/s,9 m/s,and 11 m/s,and at 40%,50%,and 60%series compensation levels,as well three-phase fault conditions. 展开更多

As all generators are distributed in different areas among large scale power systems,the cooperative manipulation of the multi-generator system cannot operate well without consideration of the distance information of the generators.A distributed step-by-step finite-time consensus scheme for the heterogeneous battery energy storage system(BESS)is proposed in this paper,where the coordinated consensus can come into reality within a limited time,which is appealing for the electrical engineering community.To be concrete,at first,all BESSs are classified into several clusters according to their locations,and in each cluster,there is an active leader in charge of information receiving from outside.Then,in order to coordinate the multi BESSs,five inputs,which are function oriented,were used to achieve energy level balancing,active/reactive power sharing,and the consensus of voltage and frequency of the multi BESSs.Furthermore,the frequency and voltage restoration to the nominal values of the main grid were made possible by the introduction of a virtual leader,which is actually an external leader.Compared with the centralized methods,this control scheme is entirely distributed,and each BESS only utilizes the information of its own and its neighbors.In addition,this control is robust to the load perturbation and the plug-and-play of the communication topology.Finally,some simulation experiments are executed on the modified IEEE 57-bus system to verify the suggested scheme. 展开更多

This paper presents a new strategy of embedded energy management between battery and supercapacitors (SC) for hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) applications. This proposal is due to the present trend in the field, knowing that the major drawback of the HEV is the autonomy problem. Thus, using supercapacitors and battery with a good energy management improves the HEV performances. The main contribution of this paper is focused on DC-bus voltage and currents control strategies based on polynomial controller. These strategies are implemented in PICI8F4431 microcontroller for DC/DC converters control. Due to reasons of cost and available components (no optimized), such as the battery and power semiconductors (IGBT), the experimental tests are carried out in reduced scale (2.7 kW). Through some simulations and experimental results obtained in reduced scale, the authors present an improved energy management strategy for HEV. 展开更多

This paper presents a control strategy for residential battery energy storage systems,which is aware of volatile electricity markets and uncertain daily cycling loads.The economic benefits of energy trading for prosumers are achieved through a novel modification of a conventional model predictive control(MPC).The proposed control strategy guarantees an optimal global solution for the applied control action.A new cost function is introduced to model the effects of volatility on customer benefits more effectively.Specifically,the newly presented cost function models a probabilistic relation between the power exchanged with the grid,the net load,and the electricity market.The probabilistic calculation of the cost function shows the dependence on the mathematical expectation of market price and net load.Computational techniques for calculating this value are presented.The proposed strategy differs from the stochastic and robust MPC in that the cost is calculated across the market price and net load variations rather than across model constraints and parameter variations. 展开更多

当前新能源大量引入至电力系统,为了使其代替传统的水电、燃气机组作为黑启动电源,文中研究了基于光储联合系统的电网分段恢复策略。首先,根据光储系统的结构和控制方式,提出由储能系统建立稳定的并网母线线电压,光伏系统分步并网的启... 当前新能源大量引入至电力系统,为了使其代替传统的水电、燃气机组作为黑启动电源,文中研究了基于光储联合系统的电网分段恢复策略。首先,根据光储系统的结构和控制方式,提出由储能系统建立稳定的并网母线线电压,光伏系统分步并网的启动方式;其次,为了增强光伏发电系统的惯性阻尼支撑,提出在光伏系统逆变器侧加入虚拟同步控制;最后,在待启动机组和系统负荷并网过程中,利用储能系统配置附加阻尼控制器抑制电网黑启动产生的次同步振荡,保证电网稳定恢复。在PSCAD/EMTDC中搭建光储联合系统黑启动的电磁暂态仿真模型并进行分析,结果表明系统恢复过程中母线线电压偏差不超过0.65%、系统频率偏差不超过1%,满足黑启动要求,验证了文中所提启动策略的可行性。 展开更多

考虑电池SOC一致性的城轨交通MHESS功率分配策略

在城市轨道交通中,通常采用多混合储能系统(MHESS)来解决列车在牵引和制动过程中所引起的牵引网络电压波动问题。该系统由超级电容器和锂电池组成,旨在平滑功率波动,实现“削峰填谷”。考虑到MHESS多个混合储能系统之间可能存在初始状... 在城市轨道交通中,通常采用多混合储能系统(MHESS)来解决列车在牵引和制动过程中所引起的牵引网络电压波动问题。该系统由超级电容器和锂电池组成,旨在平滑功率波动,实现“削峰填谷”。考虑到MHESS多个混合储能系统之间可能存在初始状态不一致的情况,提出一种考虑电池SOC一致性的RBF-PID控制策略,用于兼顾直流稳压特性以及电池储能系统寿命保护最优。由列车运行速度需求得到牵引功率需求,采用滑动平均滤波(MAF)算法将高频功率指令分配给超级电容,低频功率指令分配给电池与牵引网。进一步地,考虑到混合储能系统间初始状态不一致情况下的电池寿命保护问题,通过合理设计功率分配切换规则,在初始SOC较低电池的传统电压外环控制中引入基于电池SOC一致性的RBF-PID控制,合理控制电池的充放电电流,防止过冲、过放现象,从而延长电池寿命。为验证所提控制策略的有效性,使用Matlab/Simulink仿真软件进行仿真验证。实验结果表明,所提方法能够降低初始SOC较低电池的放电深度,有效保护储能元件。 展开更多

为了研究磷酸铁锂电池爆阀后热失控的抑制效果,搭建了热失控特性检测试验平台。首先对电池热失控喷气进行阶段划分,然后对比分析了不同时机切断供电对磷酸铁锂电池热失控现象特性、温度和可燃气浓度特性的影响。结果表明:磷酸铁锂电池... 为了研究磷酸铁锂电池爆阀后热失控的抑制效果,搭建了热失控特性检测试验平台。首先对电池热失控喷气进行阶段划分,然后对比分析了不同时机切断供电对磷酸铁锂电池热失控现象特性、温度和可燃气浓度特性的影响。结果表明:磷酸铁锂电池安全阀爆开后,存在2次喷气,时间间隔为10 s左右。当安全阀打开时,伴随少量气体的喷发,立即切断供电,内部反应随之停止,阀口并未出现第2次喷气。在第2次喷气后,电池进入完全热失控状态,若立即切断供电,电池表面温度长时间持续升高,最高温度为93℃。在第2次喷气2 min后再断电,电池表面温度持续升高至200℃,相较于第2次喷气时断电,最高温度差为107℃,H_2、CO的最大体积分数差为7.09×10~(-4)、3.28×10~(-4)。如果在安全阀开启瞬间不能立刻预警及干预,有效的预警应该在第1次喷气和第2次喷气之间动作,可以控制温度的上升和可燃气体的喷射,降低火灾爆炸风险。 展开更多

In this paper, a battery energy storage system(BESS) based control method is proposed to improve the damping ratio of a target oscillation mode to a desired level by charging or discharging the installed BESS using local measurements. The expected damping improvement by BESS is derived analytically for both a single-machineinfinite-bus system and a multi-machine system. This BESS-based approach is tested on a four-generator, twoarea power system. Effects of the power converter limit,response time delay, power system stabilizers and battery state-of-charge on the control performance are also investigated. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

大倍率充电会引起储能电池负极析锂,进一步可能会诱发电池热失控并导致安全事故。而析锂副反应与电池负极电位直接相关,通过模型精确预测负极电位,传输至储能电池管理系统调整充电工况,可以有效抑制负极析锂。因此,文中提出一种基于降... 大倍率充电会引起储能电池负极析锂,进一步可能会诱发电池热失控并导致安全事故。而析锂副反应与电池负极电位直接相关,通过模型精确预测负极电位,传输至储能电池管理系统调整充电工况,可以有效抑制负极析锂。因此,文中提出一种基于降维机理简化伪二维(simplified pseudo two-dimensional,SP2D)模型的储能电池安全充电在线控制技术。首先,对伪二维(pseudo two-dimensional,P2D)模型中部分偏微分方程进行降维简化,建立SP2D模型,同时采用不同的方法获取相应的模型参数。其次,使用实验数据的端电压和负极电位对模型进行验证,结果表明模型在不同倍率恒流工况下精度较高。再次,基于SP2D模型结合比例控制器开展电池无析锂安全充电的仿真工作,结果表明,电池经过1895 s充电即达到截止电压4.3 V,且充电过程中负极电位均处于无析锂安全电位区间。最后,对仿真得到的充电策略进行循环和拆解验证,结果表明提出的充电方法能够实现电池无析锂安全充电。 展开更多
