The numerical simulation reveals the transient excitation and propagation characteristics of SV waves. It is found that the element size plays an important role in determining the transient radiation directivity of SV waves. The transient beam focusing characteristics of SV waves for various array parameters are deeply studied. However, its imaging quality depends on the initial beam parameters, which can make the beam width increase and wave-front spread with the propagation of the central ray, resulting in poor migration accuracy at depth, especially for exploration areas with complex geological structures. To address this problem, we present an adaptive focused beam method for shot-domain prestack depth migration. Using the infor- mation of the input smooth velocity field, we first derive an adaptive focused parameter, which makes a seismic beam focused along the whole central ray to enhance the wave- field construction accuracy in both the shallow and deep regions. Then we introduce this parameter into the GBM, which not only improves imaging quality of deep reflectors but also makes the shallow small-scale geological struc- tures well-defined. As well, using the amplitude-preserved extrapolation operator and deconvolution imaging condi- tion, the concept of amplitude-preserved imaging has been included in our method. The results show that the optical intensity in the focal region can be altered considerably by changing the location of the vortices nested in a radially polarized Gaussian beam. It is noted that focal evolution from one annular focal pattern to a highly confined focal spot in the transverse direction is observed corresponding to the change in the location of the optical vortices in the input plane. It is also observed that the generated focal hole or spot lead to a focal shift along the optical axis remarkably under proper radial phase modulation. Hence the proposed system may be applied to construct tunable optical traps for both high and low refractive index particles.展开更多

The exotic phenomenon arises from the energy overlapping of the two symmetric Airy beams. Besides, we demonstrate the focusing performance with high self-healing property, and discuss the effects of structure parameters on focusing performance, and present the characteristics of the cavity structure with straight channels. Compared with other acoustic lenses, the proposed acoustic lens has advantages of broad bandwidth(about 1.4 kHz), high self-healing property of focusing performance, and free adjustment of focal length. The expressions of the position for maximum irradiance on-axis and the relative focal shift are evaluated by the analytical propagation formulas. Our numerical results show that both the relative focal shift and the effective beam width of focused partially coherent CDHBs are mainly determined by the initial transverse coherence width 6g and the Fresnel number Nw, which are also affected by the changes of both the dark-size adjusting parameter p and the order N of CDHBs.展开更多

文摘We realize broadband acoustic focusing effect by employing two symmetric Airy beams generated from phased arrays,in which the units of the phased arrays consist of different numbers of cavity structures, each of which is composed of a square cavity and two inclined channels in air. Our finding should have great potential applications in ultrasound imaging and medical diagnosis.

文摘As a newly developed method for fabricating Josephson junctions,a focused helium ion beam has the advantage of producing reliable and reproducible junctions. We fabricated Josephson junctions with a focused helium ion beam on our 50 nm YBa_(2)Cu_(3)O_(7-δ)(YBCO)thin films. We focused on the junction with irradiation doses ranging from 100 to 300 ions/nm and demonstrated that the junction barrier can be modulated by the ion dose and that within this dose range, the junctions behave like superconductor–normal conductor–superconductor junctions. The measurements of the I–V characteristics,Fraunhofer diffraction pattern, and Shapiro steps of the junctions clearly show AC and DC Josephson effects. Our findings demonstrate high reproducibility of junction fabrication using a focused helium ion beam and suggest that commercial devices based on this nanotechnology could operate at liquid nitrogen temperatures.

文摘Ordered nanoripples on the niobium-doped SrTiO_3 surfaces were fabricated through focused ion beam bombardment. The surface morphology of the SrTiO_3 nanoripples was characterized using in situ focused ion beam/scanning electron microscopy. The well-aligned SrTiO_3 nanostructures were obtained under optimized ion irradiation conditions. The characteristic wavelength was measured as about 210 nm for different ion beam currents. The relationship between the ion irradiation time and current and SrTiO_3 surface morphology was analyzed. The presented method will be an effective supplement for fabrication of SrTiO_3 nanostructures that can be used for ferroelectric and electronic applications.

文摘This paper studies the focusing properties of Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams by an astigmatic aperture lens. It is shown that the axial irradiance distribution, the maximum axial irradiance and its position of focused GSM beams by an astigmatic aperture lens depend upon the astigmatism of the lens, the coherence of partially coherent light, the truncation parameter of the aperture and Fresnel number. The numerical calculation results are given to illustrate how these parameters affect the focusing property.

文摘Analytical propagation formulas are derived for partially coherent controllable dark-hollow beams (CDHBs) through a thin lens based on the generalized Huygens-Fresnel integral. The expressions of the position for maximum irradiance on-axis and the relative focal shift are evaluated by the analytical propagation formulas. Our numerical results show that both the relative focal shift and the effective beam width of focused partially coherent CDHBs are mainly determined by the initial transverse coherence width 6g and the Fresnel number Nw, which are also affected by the changes of both the dark-size adjusting parameter p and the order N of CDHBs.

文摘We report the generation of a crossed, focused, optical vortex beam by using a pair of hybrid holograms, which combine the vortex phase and lens phase onto a spatial light modulator. We study the intensity distributions of the vortex beam in free propagation space, and the relationship of its dark spot size with the incident Gaussian beam’s waist, the lens’s focal length, and its orbital angular momentum. Our results show that the crossed, focused, vortex beam’s dark spot size can be as small as 16.3μm and adjustable by the quantum number of the orbital angular momentum, and can be used to increase the density of trapped molecules.Furthermore,we calculate the optical potential of the blue-detuned,crossed vortex beam for MgF molecules. It is applicable to cool and trap neutral molecules by intensity-gradient-induced Sisyphus cooling,as the intensity gradient of such vortex beam is extremely high near the focal point.
