Effective College English Vocabulary Teaching

There are over two million modern English words, thus English becomes a language with the largest vocabulary in the world. Moreover, English vocabulary is constantly being renewed and enlarged with the development of the society and advancement of science and technology. So vocabulary development becomes language learners’ top priority. Unfortunately, learning English words by rote can't guarantee that students will have a large vocabulary, let alone enable students to make practical use of the words they have learned in real life communication. So in order to arouse students’ interest in learning English as well as to help students to develop a language competence, a number of effective vocabulary teaching methods such as context teaching, teaching cultural connotation and cultural differences, teaching vocabulary with Semantic Field Theory are presented in this paper.

“电工与电路基础”是国防科技大学的一门专业基础课,为培养理想信念坚定、科技底蕴厚实、创新能力突出的高素质新型军事人才提供重要支撑。本课程受众面广,蕴含丰富的思政元素,是课程思政实施的重要渠道。结合课程内容,从家国情怀、马克思主义哲学原理、责任与担当、法治意识等几方面探讨课程承载的思政内涵、育人目标,以及所建的思政资源库;探索基于课程思政资源库的教学实践和课程评价。一年的教学实践表明,学生学习的积极性和主动性得到提高,教学质量得到提升。

乡村振兴背景下教育在防止返贫中的作用——以张家口坝上地区为例

我国脱贫攻坚战取得全面胜利,但是贫困地区发展基础差,产业不发达,人民科技文化素质较差,具有很高返贫风险,对美丽乡村建设构成严重挑战,在乡村振兴过程中,教育对防止贫困地区贫困人口返贫具有重要作用。在乡村振兴背景下,为保护脱贫攻坚的成果,研究张家口市坝上贫困地区教育在防止返贫中的作用,以期为采取措施优化乡村振兴效率,防止脱贫后再次返贫。以河北张家口市坝上地区为研究对象,采用资料分析和现场调研的方法,分析贫困农户家庭现状、张家口坝上地区的教育发展状况与社会培训教育情况。综合调研结果,提出以下建议:将学前教育纳入义务教育;完善中小学硬件设施,将常见慢性疾病纳入科普课程;建立高校教学科研基地,增加产业投资;有组织、有针对性、系统地开展社会培训,尤其引入有关科研院校的高档次培训人员;向村集体派出强有力的干部,开展思政教育,提高贫困人口的生活积极性。
