This study explores the innovation and entrepreneurship education model in medical education under the background of“New Medical Science,”aiming to cultivate interdisciplinary talents that can meet the future healthcare needs.With the advancement of the national innovation strategy,“New Medical Science”emphasizes not only the transmission of professional knowledge but also the development of interdisciplinary integration and innovation capabilities to address the rapid changes in medical technology.A survey was conducted to assess the innovation and entrepreneurship competencies of medical students at Pingdingshan University.The results show that students have a high level of awareness and participation in innovation and entrepreneurship education,yet there is a need to strengthen the integration of skill enhancement with professional knowledge.Based on the survey findings and theoretical foundations of innovation and entrepreneurship,the paper proposes pathways to enhance medical students’innovation and entrepreneurship abilities,focusing on strengthening faculty development,improving the curriculum system,promoting the integration of specialty and entrepreneurship,and optimizing educational models.These efforts aim to cultivate medical professionals with stronger innovation and practical capabilities,contributing to the realization of the“Healthy China”strategy.

The"4+4"Medical Doctor(MD)Pilot Program at PUMC:Implementation,Performance,and Prospects

Peking Union Medical College(PUMC)launched the"4+4"Medical Doctor(MD)pilot program in 2018,admitting students with non-medical backgrounds from top universities,aligning with national medical talent training policies to foster diverse and eager learners in medicine.On the occasion of the graduation of the first class of the"4+4"MD pilot class at PUMC in 2023,we reviewed the teaching reform in the pilot program and carried out a systematic survey and interviews with students,faculties,and management staff of the pilot class.This article reports on the measures taken by the pilot class at PUMC in enrollment and curriculum setting,and demonstrates the achievements of the pilot class in terms of student academic background structure,knowledge acquisition and skill learning,scientific research ability,and course evaluation.The results indicated that the pilot class had met the national demand for the"Medicine+X"talent training model.More specifically,with a diverse academic backgrounds,the pilot class graduates had academic levels comparable to the eight-year medical education graduates,and their scientific research abilities were satisfactory.The pilot program at PUMC will optimize the curriculum setting,strengthen the construction of faculty,learning resources,and teaching facilities,and reform the academic evaluation methods,thus deepening the reform of medical education and improving the"4+4"MD program as a novel medical education model.

Organic Combination of Smart Agriculture and Farming-reading Education : Research on Talent Training Model in the New Agricultural Science

After six years＇medical reform,about 7.8 billion person-times of medical service has been achieved by2014,and the number of persons covered by basic medical insurance for urban employees,basic medical insurance for urban residents,and new rural cooperative medical insurance exceeded 1.3 billion,of which the coverage ratio reached as high as over 95%,establishing the largest basic medical security network in the world.

Issues concerning Migrant Workers' Participation in the New Rural Cooperative Medical System and Countermeasures——Based on the Survey in Wenjiang District and Jintang County, Chengdu City

We conduct questionnaire survey of migrant workers in Wenjiang District and Jintang County of Chengdu City,respectively,using the method of key-point investigation and the sampling survey. We describe the status quo of the sample migrant workers' participation in the New Rural Cooperative Medical System,analyze the issues concerning migrant workers' participation in the New Rural Cooperative Medical System,and put forward the countermeasures and recommendations as follows: using many types of medical insurance; establishing universal reimbursement points in strange land and premium-paying system for migrant workers; making the proportion of reimbursement open and transparent; establishing and improving medicare security system for migrant workers.

Availability and Affordability of Therapeutic Monoclonal Antibodies After the New Medical Reform in Hubei Province,China

Objective In 2017,China launched a new round of medical reform(NMR)to address the inaccessibility of high-priced drugs for patients with serious diseases.This study explored the impact of the NMR on the accessibility and affordability of high-priced monoclonal antibodies(mAbs),and the effective promotion policies after the NMR.Methods We used a standard method developed by the World Health Organization to conduct two surveys on the availability of mAbs and their prices before and after the NMR in the public hospitals in Hubei province,China.By interviewing hospital pharmacy experts,we identified the potential value of the current NMR in improving the access to therapeutic mAbs.Results The average availability of 13 mAbs increased by 8.1%in the surveyed hospitals of Hubei province after the NMR.The median unit price of 10 mAbs dropped by 34.3%.The average affordability of a treatment cycle of 10 mAbs dropped from 680 days to 298 days of the disposable daily income for a middle-income resident(56.2%reduction).The drug price negotiation of medical insurance inclusion and the promotion of consistent evaluation of generic and original drugs could effectively promote the accessibility of mAbs.However,the zero markup of drug pricing and the limit on the proportion of drug revenues in public hospitals showed certain negative effects on the availability of mAbs.Conclusion Not all current NMR policies play a positive role in promoting the accessibility of mAbs.To further improve the accessibility of mAbs in the future in China,it is therefore critical to increase the investment in independent research and development of high-quality mAbs,establish localized guidelines for the rational use of mAbs in clinical practice,and have a cost-sharing mechanism for high-priced drugs with multiple stakeholders.

The Supply-Side Structural Reforms——Adapting to and Leading China's New Normal

The 13^(th) Five Year Plan is a critical period for the transformation of economic development patterns and economic restructuring, so clarifying the theoretical values and practical significances of the supply-side structural reforms, making a clear explanation of the scientific connotations and policy implications of these reforms from a scientific standpoint, and discussing concrete measures to promote the reforms against the background of the economic new normal not only has academic values but also has important practical implications. Viewed from the practical standpoint of China' s new normal and through analyzing the basic national conditions, this article proposes a roadmap for implementing the proposed reforms and points out that only by doing well in the hybrid operation of "addition, subtraction, multiplication and division", based on the framework of the "five policy pillars", an innovative path of the supply-side structural reforms with Chinese characteristics can be paved.

On Rural Medical Care and Health Undertaking Development during New Medical Reform

Based on in-depth survey of township hospitals in Lushan County of Henan Province, this paper studies the development situations of rural medical care and health undertaking in the course of new medical reform. Results show that both rural medical institution and public health undertaking have considerable development in this course. Working capital situation gradually turns better. However, there are still problems and challenge of shortage of high quality medical care personnel, lack of employment mechanism, poor medical environment, and imperfect bidding and purchasing system of medicines. To further develop rural medical situation, it should improve medical environment, speed up informationization construction, and give prominence to functional orientation.

Cyclical Patterns of China’s Reform and Their Implications for the New Era

After taking stock of China's four-decade reforms, this paper identifies the cyclical patterns of China's reforms, which consist of an intermediate cycle and three short cycles. The purpose of reform is to adjust the changing relations of production to changing productivity. China has adopted a gradualist approach of reform, and reform cycles have coincided with economic cycles. The cyclical changes of reform are of great significance to comprehensively deepening reforms in the new era: Downward pressures of the economy present the best window period for reform;a new cycle of reform will unveil a new economic cycle as well;the people's support is essential to pushing forward the cyclical movements of reform;and top-down design is essential to deepen reforms on all fronts.

Reform of Rural Land System from the Perspective of New Urbanization

In view of artificially high urbanization rate of China and possible causes,survey and data analysis methods were used to discuss reform of household registration system,and path for promoting rural land system reform. Results show that it is required to eliminate bottlenecks of land system in the advance of new urbanization process. In line with land system bottlenecks of new urbanization,it is recommended to take following measures.( i) Promoting land right confirmation centered land system reform.( ii) Weakening rural land ownership and stressing land use right.( iii) Establishing urban and rural integrated land market and putting an end to low cost urbanization road.( iv) Realizing asset value of rural construction land and tackling the problem of insufficient construction land.( v) Reforming the land expropriation system and increasing the share of gain in land value to farmers.( vi) Implementing different land policies to promote coordinated development of regional social economy.( vii) Establishing land circulation access system to ensure unchanged land use purpose and high efficient use.

Restraining Factors and Improving Paths for the Operation Mechanism of New Rural Cooperative Medical System in China

The new rural cooperative medical system has achieved periodical achievements since its establishment.Nevertheless,there are many factors hampering the development of the new system,such as the high cost,the difficulties in fund procurement,the lack of management,the narrow coverage of benefit,the ineffective constraint to the designated medical institutions,the high fund balance rate,and the poor medical facilities and services in rural areas.Countermeasures are put forward to solve these problems,including improving the system design,expanding the coverage of the system,expanding the fund sources,reducing the financing costs,strengthening the fund supervision,enhancing the supervision of designated medical institutions,and improving the capacity of health services in rural areas.
