Human adoption of artificial intelligence(AI)technique is largely hampered because of the increasing complexity and opacity of AI development.Explainable AI(XAI)techniques with various methods and tools have been deve...Human adoption of artificial intelligence(AI)technique is largely hampered because of the increasing complexity and opacity of AI development.Explainable AI(XAI)techniques with various methods and tools have been developed to bridge this gap between high-performance black-box AI models and human understanding.However,the current adoption of XAI technique stil lacks"human-centered"guidance for designing proper solutions to meet different stakeholders'needs in XAI practice.We first summarize a human-centered demand framework to categorize different stakeholders into five key roles with specific demands by reviewing existing research and then extract six commonly used human-centered XAI evaluation measures which are helpful for validating the effect of XAI.In addition,a taxonomy of XAI methods is developed for visual computing with analysis of method properties.Holding clearer human demands and XAI methods in mind,we take a medical image diagnosis scenario as an example to present an overview of how extant XAI approaches for visual computing fulfil stakeholders'human-centered demands in practice.And we check the availability of open-source XAI tools for stakeholders'use.This survey provides further guidance for matching diverse human demands with appropriate XAI methods or tools in specific applications with a summary of main challenges and future work toward human-centered XAI in practice.展开更多

However, members of these teams often work in stressful and unhealthy environments, which can undermine their productivity and well-being. The humanization of the culture of technology teams is an approach that aims to create healthier and more productive work environments for team members, promoting balance between personal and professional life. Despite the importance of a healthy and productive work environment, many companies do not invest in strategies to humanize the culture of their technology teams. This can lead to high levels of stress, staff turnover and low productivity. The objective of this project is to identify effective strategies to humanize the culture of technology teams and create healthier and more productive work environments in digital companies. For this, factors such as management styles, psychological safety, human-centered development, individual beliefs and time and energy management will be analyzed. The project’s methodology will include a literature review on the subject and qualitative data analysis will be performed using a content analysis approach. This project will contribute to the advancement of knowledge about the humanization of the culture of technology teams in digital companies. The implementation of artificial intelligence(AI)in a smart society,in which the analysis of human habits is mandatory,requires automated data scheduling and analysis using smart applications,a smart infrastructure,sm...The implementation of artificial intelligence(AI)in a smart society,in which the analysis of human habits is mandatory,requires automated data scheduling and analysis using smart applications,a smart infrastructure,smart systems,and a smart network.In this context,which is characterized by a large gap between training and operative processes,a dedicated method is required to manage and extract the massive amount of data and the related information mining.The method presented in this work aims to reduce this gap with near-zero-failure advanced diagnostics(AD)for smart management,which is exploitable in any context of Society 5.0,thus reducing the risk factors at all management levels and ensuring quality and sustainability.We have also developed innovative applications for a humancentered management system to support scheduling in the maintenance of operative processes,for reducing training costs,for improving production yield,and for creating a human–machine cyberspace for smart infrastructure design.The results obtained in 12 international companies demonstrate a possible global standardization of operative processes,leading to the design of a near-zero-failure intelligent system that is able to learn and upgrade itself.Our new method provides guidance for selecting the new generation of intelligent manufacturing and smart systems in order to optimize human–machine interactions,with the related smart maintenance and education.展开更多

Considering various realistic factors,preference order among different levels of automation was probabilistically analyzed. The Human-Centered Internet of Things(HC-IoT)is fast becoming a hotbed of security and privacy concerns.Two users can establish a common session key through a trusted server over an open communication channel using a ...The Human-Centered Internet of Things(HC-IoT)is fast becoming a hotbed of security and privacy concerns.Two users can establish a common session key through a trusted server over an open communication channel using a three-party authenticated key agreement.Most of the early authenticated key agreement systems relied on pairing,hashing,or modular exponentiation processes that are computationally intensive and cost-prohibitive.In order to address this problem,this paper offers a new three-party authenticated key agreement technique based on fractional chaotic maps.The new scheme uses fractional chaotic maps and supports the dynamic sensing of HC-IoT devices in the network architecture without a password table.The projected security scheme utilized a hash function,which works well for the resource-limited HC-IoT architectures.Test results show that our new technique is resistant to password guessing attacks since it does not use a password.Furthermore,our approach provides users with comprehensive privacy protection,ensuring that a user forgery attack causes no harm.Finally,our new technique offers better security features than the techniques currently available in the literature.展开更多
Background The personality and feedback of an animated pedagogical agent(APA)are vital social-emotional features that render the agent perceptually believable.Their effects on learning during virtual training need to ...Background The personality and feedback of an animated pedagogical agent(APA)are vital social-emotional features that render the agent perceptually believable.Their effects on learning during virtual training need to be examined.Methods In this paper,an explanation model is proposed to clarify the underlying mechanism of how these two features affect learners.Two studies were conducted to investigate the model.In Study 1,the effect of the APA's personality type and feedback strategy on flow experience and performance was reexamined,revealing significant effects of the feedback strategy on flow and performance and a marginally significant effect of the personality type on performance.To explore the mechanism behind these effects,a theoretical model is proposed by distinguishing between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation effects.In Study 2,the model was evaluated,and the APA's personality type was found to significantly influence the factors in the path of the extrinsic motivation effect rather than those in the path of the intrinsic motivation effect.Results In contrast,the feedback strategy affected factors in the path of the intrinsic motivation effect.Conclusions These results validated the proposed model.Further distinguishing the two motivation effects is necessary to understand the respective effects of an APA's personality and feedback features on learning experiences and outcomes.展开更多
The war imposed on Azerbaijan by the Armenian invaders claimed thousands of lives,but even more young guys were left crippled by the war.Today,Azerbaijan faces 2 major tasks of strategic importance:(1)To preserve the ...The war imposed on Azerbaijan by the Armenian invaders claimed thousands of lives,but even more young guys were left crippled by the war.Today,Azerbaijan faces 2 major tasks of strategic importance:(1)To preserve the lands reclaimed from the enemy and(2)to ensure the maximum preservation of the viability of the military personnel who suffered in this war,because the prospects of the patriotism of our people,fighting spirit,and their combat effectiveness depend on the timely solution of these tasks.Many problems arise for servicemen undergoing rehabilitation after complex injuries.In general,veterans find it difficult to restore old social ties and physical activity,so they also need a positive attitude from society,because they are already the people with disabilities.At the first stage of medical intervention,the doctor is faced with the main task:saving the life and health of the soldiers,so he has little time to study in detail the psychosocial factors that can affect the final results.At the first stage of treatment,unnecessary questions to the patient may even lead to an ineffective result.However,some observations have revealed significant differences in the response to rehabilitation treatment,even in geographically close countries.Therefore,in the subsequent stages,it is important to take into account spiritual factors that will certainly affect recovery and rehabilitation.Thus,to better support the recovery and rehabilitation of people with injuries,more research is needed to organize human-centered care.Some of the organizations in our country,such as«Witness Support»and«Life Support»,study the interests of servicemen,the needs of the families of those who lost loved ones in the war,and try to solve these problems as soon as possible,helping them not only and not so much materially,but also morally.They arrange meetings of civilians with veterans,help veterans to support their families.If during this period the wounded recover from physical and mental illnesses interacting with the civilian population,they are more successful in overcoming difficult problems.To summarize all of the above,we can conclude that health and well-being depend on more factors than just medical care,and we must continue to look for the best ways to rehabilitate people with disabilities who saved our lives.展开更多

文摘It has become a common pursuit of designers to construct comfortable,energy-conserving,high-efficiency and natural living environment since the early 21st century.In the coming low-carbon age,the evolution of low-carbon concepts will surely bring positive influence on the present planning concepts of residential community,and meanwhile,propose higher requirements on the natural and ecological properties of residential community,such as its infrastructure construction,traffic organization,environment greening and so on.Through analyzing relevant concepts of low carbon,the authors studied the development of low-carbon concepts in "human-centered" designs,and its applications in architecture,traffic and green spaces.This study proposed that the improvement of low-carbon society could be started from the design of low-carbon residential communities,so as to satisfy the increasing ecological needs of people on living environment,and play a promotional role in facilitating the sustainable development of society.
文摘The implementation of artificial intelligence(AI)in a smart society,in which the analysis of human habits is mandatory,requires automated data scheduling and analysis using smart applications,a smart infrastructure,smart systems,and a smart network.In this context,which is characterized by a large gap between training and operative processes,a dedicated method is required to manage and extract the massive amount of data and the related information mining.The method presented in this work aims to reduce this gap with near-zero-failure advanced diagnostics(AD)for smart management,which is exploitable in any context of Society 5.0,thus reducing the risk factors at all management levels and ensuring quality and sustainability.We have also developed innovative applications for a humancentered management system to support scheduling in the maintenance of operative processes,for reducing training costs,for improving production yield,and for creating a human–machine cyberspace for smart infrastructure design.The results obtained in 12 international companies demonstrate a possible global standardization of operative processes,leading to the design of a near-zero-failure intelligent system that is able to learn and upgrade itself.Our new method provides guidance for selecting the new generation of intelligent manufacturing and smart systems in order to optimize human–machine interactions,with the related smart maintenance and education.

文摘This paper estimates the population to be influenced by China's policy of postponed retirement age and provides design strategies and suggestions in the workplace for the ageing workforce from the perspective of inclusive design.First,the literature review about western design principles and practices for the ageing workforce is conducted.It is estimated that China would face approximately 100 million elderly workers in the near future with diverse physical conditions and demands.However,the design research and practices dedicated to ageing workforce in the workplace are comparatively weak in China.Inclusive design,one of the design approaches mainly focusing on ageing problems in developed countries,as well as its theory and methodology,could act as a good reference for Chinese policymakers and designers.Then based on the concept of inclusive design,a human-centered design model is established and design suggestions from four aspects are presented.Finally,two cases are further discussed to illustrate the idea of inclusive design.

文摘This letter proposes a categorization matrix to analyze the playing style of a computer game player for a shooting game genre. Our aim is to use human-centered modeling as a strategy for adaptive games based on entertainment measure to evaluate the playing experience. We utilized a self-organizing map (SOM) to cluster the player's style with the data obtained while playing the game. We further argued that style-based adaptation contributes to higher enjoyment, and this is reflected in our experiment using a supervised multilayered perceptron (MLP) network.

文摘Supposing a typical case of mismatch between human actions and given situation,the appropriate driver support function was investigated in this paper. It was processed by calculating the conditional expectation of damage under different degrees of automation. The typical case was that the situation was detected to be in threat while the driver was detected not to take any corresponding action. Considering various realistic factors,preference order among different levels of automation was probabilistically analyzed. Different levels of automation under action type support were differentiated by human's reactions to the autonomous safety control actions which were taken by the computer.

文摘The Human-Centered Internet of Things(HC-IoT)is fast becoming a hotbed of security and privacy concerns.Two users can establish a common session key through a trusted server over an open communication channel using a three-party authenticated key agreement.Most of the early authenticated key agreement systems relied on pairing,hashing,or modular exponentiation processes that are computationally intensive and cost-prohibitive.In order to address this problem,this paper offers a new three-party authenticated key agreement technique based on fractional chaotic maps.The new scheme uses fractional chaotic maps and supports the dynamic sensing of HC-IoT devices in the network architecture without a password table.The projected security scheme utilized a hash function,which works well for the resource-limited HC-IoT architectures.Test results show that our new technique is resistant to password guessing attacks since it does not use a password.Furthermore,our approach provides users with comprehensive privacy protection,ensuring that a user forgery attack causes no harm.Finally,our new technique offers better security features than the techniques currently available in the literature.

文摘Background The personality and feedback of an animated pedagogical agent(APA)are vital social-emotional features that render the agent perceptually believable.Their effects on learning during virtual training need to be examined.Methods In this paper,an explanation model is proposed to clarify the underlying mechanism of how these two features affect learners.Two studies were conducted to investigate the model.In Study 1,the effect of the APA's personality type and feedback strategy on flow experience and performance was reexamined,revealing significant effects of the feedback strategy on flow and performance and a marginally significant effect of the personality type on performance.To explore the mechanism behind these effects,a theoretical model is proposed by distinguishing between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation effects.In Study 2,the model was evaluated,and the APA's personality type was found to significantly influence the factors in the path of the extrinsic motivation effect rather than those in the path of the intrinsic motivation effect.Results In contrast,the feedback strategy affected factors in the path of the intrinsic motivation effect.Conclusions These results validated the proposed model.Further distinguishing the two motivation effects is necessary to understand the respective effects of an APA's personality and feedback features on learning experiences and outcomes.
文摘The war imposed on Azerbaijan by the Armenian invaders claimed thousands of lives,but even more young guys were left crippled by the war.Today,Azerbaijan faces 2 major tasks of strategic importance:(1)To preserve the lands reclaimed from the enemy and(2)to ensure the maximum preservation of the viability of the military personnel who suffered in this war,because the prospects of the patriotism of our people,fighting spirit,and their combat effectiveness depend on the timely solution of these tasks.Many problems arise for servicemen undergoing rehabilitation after complex injuries.In general,veterans find it difficult to restore old social ties and physical activity,so they also need a positive attitude from society,because they are already the people with disabilities.At the first stage of medical intervention,the doctor is faced with the main task:saving the life and health of the soldiers,so he has little time to study in detail the psychosocial factors that can affect the final results.At the first stage of treatment,unnecessary questions to the patient may even lead to an ineffective result.However,some observations have revealed significant differences in the response to rehabilitation treatment,even in geographically close countries.Therefore,in the subsequent stages,it is important to take into account spiritual factors that will certainly affect recovery and rehabilitation.Thus,to better support the recovery and rehabilitation of people with injuries,more research is needed to organize human-centered care.Some of the organizations in our country,such as«Witness Support»and«Life Support»,study the interests of servicemen,the needs of the families of those who lost loved ones in the war,and try to solve these problems as soon as possible,helping them not only and not so much materially,but also morally.They arrange meetings of civilians with veterans,help veterans to support their families.If during this period the wounded recover from physical and mental illnesses interacting with the civilian population,they are more successful in overcoming difficult problems.To summarize all of the above,we can conclude that health and well-being depend on more factors than just medical care,and we must continue to look for the best ways to rehabilitate people with disabilities who saved our lives.
