Yan Fu＇s Evolution and Ethics and Tan Sitong＇ s Theory of Benevolence are thetwo important books published in the great turning point of modern Chinese history. Both booksnot only harshly criticize the monarchy, take the lead in appealing for liberty, equality and democra-cy, but also give a creative explanation of universe -man relationship which is the basic issue of Chi-nese thought, promote the transformation of traditional cosmology and morality toward a new worldoutlook, social outlook and values, and lay the foundation for ontology and methodology of new ide-as and new theories. Both books have the ＂Prejudice＂ given by Chinese traditional culture,but be-cause of their ideological resources, thinking coordinates and methodological path differences, theyconstitute a certain relationship of contrast and complementarity in theory. Therefore, conducting amore in - depth analysis and summing up the achievements and limitations of them are enough toprovide valuable lessons for us in ＂restarting the thinking of universe -man＂ in today＇s era.

Antecedents and consequences of athlete's trust in the coach

Purpose： To assess the effects of trust in the coach on commitment to coach, willingness to cooperate, and perceived performance. Methods： Two hundred and fifteen members of competitive sports clubs responded to scales measuring coach characteristics of justice, benevolence, integrity, and competence; athlete＇s trust in the coach; commitment to coach; willingness to cooperate; and perceived performance. Results： Confirmatory factor analysis of data supported the measurement model. Perceptions of a coach＇s justice （β = 0.19, p 〈 0.05）, benevolence （β = 0.32, p 〈 0.05）, integrity （β= 0.14, p 〈 0.05）, and competence （β = 0.29, p 〈 0.05） each had a significant effect on athletes＇ trust, and they cumulatively accounted for 61% of the variance in trust. The structural equation modeling showed that trust had direct effects on commitment to coach （β = 0.77, p 〈 0.01）, willingness to cooperate （β= 0.79, p 〈 0.01 ）, and perceived performance （β = 0.51, p 〈 0.01）,. The hypothesized mediating effects of commitment to coach and willingness to cooperate were not supported. The model explained 26% of the variance in perceived performance. Conclusion： As trust in coach influences commitment to coach, willingness to cooperate, and perceived performance, coaches need to take effort to bolster their athletes＇ trust by being just and benevolent, and enhancing their integrity and competence.

Architectural Benevolent Builders (ABB): A global system automating integration of structured and semistructured sources

We investigate highly sophisticated mechanisms that merge and automate interoperability of heterogeneous traditional information systems together with the World Wide Web as one world. In particular, we introduce the ABB system that employs most of the Benevolent Builders (BB) which are assertions, integration rules, ABB network graph and agents to activate the components’ versatility to reconcile the semantics involved in data sharing in order to withstand the terrific dynamic computer technology in the present and future information age. The ABB is a global application system with its operation covering local databases to the Internet. The first three BB are passive objects, whereas, the agent has a strong versatility to perceive events, perform actions, communicate, make commitments, and satisfy claims. Due to the BB’s power of intelligence, ABB also has the capability to filter out and process only the relevant operational sources like preferences (i.e. customer’s interest) from the sites. The ABB’s richness in knowledge and flexibility to accommodate various data models, manages to link: system to system or firm to firm regardless of the field such as: engineering, insurance, medical, space science, and education, to mention a few.

A Direct Trust dependent Link State Routing Protocol Using Route Trusts for WSNs (DTLSRP)

The traditional cryptographic security techniques are not sufficient for secure routing of message from source to destination in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), because it requires sophisticated software, hardware, large memory, high processing speed and communication bandwidth. It is not economic and feasible because, depending on the application, WSN nodes are high-volume in number (hence, limited resources at each node), deployment area may be hazardous, unattended and/or hostile and sometimes dangerous. As WSNs are characterized by severely constrained resources and requirement to operate in an ad-hoc manner, security functionality implementation to protect nodes from adversary forces and secure routing of message from source node to base station has become a challenging task. In this paper, we present a direct trust dependent link state routing using route trusts which protects WSNs against routing attacks by eliminating the un-trusted nodes before making routes and finding best trustworthy route among them. We compare our work with the most prevalent routing protocols and show its benefits over them.
