Yet th...To cope with the current crisis and tensions full-filled China-US relationship, Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward the concept of building a new model of China-US big power relations, which the US agrees. Yet the new model won a heated discussion. In China this new model was evaluated positively and optimistically, while in the US it was perceived as a strategic challenge or even a threat. In the present article, the author proposes that this new model of China-US big power relations is more like a symbolic sign in foreign affairs rather than a strategic challenge or a threat or an effective and workable mechanism at this moment, and meanwhile analyses this view from diachronic and semiotic perspectives. The analyses reveal that the new model functions as a symbolic sign, signifying to the world that conceptually the two big powers have a good and harmonious relationship.展开更多

According to the characteristics of "large volume", "species diversity", "sparse value density", "fast speed" of the power big data, a prediction model of multi-source information fusion for large data is established, the fusion prediction of various parameters of the same object is realized. A combined algorithm of Map Reduce and neural network is used in this paper. Using clustering and nonlinear mapping ability of neural network, it can effectively solve the problem of nonlinear objective function approximation, and neural network is applied to the prediction of fusion. In this paper, neural network model using multi layer feed forward network--BP neural network. Simultaneously, to achieve large-scale data sets in parallel computing, the parallelism and real-time property of the algorithm should be considered, further combined with Reduce Map model, to realize the parallel processing of the algorithm, making it more suitable for the study of the fusion of large data. And finally, through simulation, it verifies the feasibility of the proposed model and algorithm.展开更多

The paper discusses five of China's objectives in addressing national security; namely, from highest to lowest priority, friction among big powers, the Taiwan Question, disputes over sovereignty, protection of interests overseas, and undertaking international responsibilities. Systematically achieving these objectives is of major importance for building up national defence and China's international image. China 's state security in the current period of peaceful development is a new issue on the research agendum, for politicians, the military, scholars and researchers alike. Extensive and in-depth discussion is needed. Global security commitments made by a big power might conflict with its own security interests and objectives. Judging by any standard, China's tasks are heavy and the road ahead is long.展开更多
