For the first time, through the invention of Compensating Bio-information Energy (CBE) technology and bioinformatics breeding machine, we have completed a number of experiments by using plant signals to transfer plant genetic traits in the same family or across families, and discovered the transfer phenomenon of life genetic information. The test results show that plants can change from random variation to controllable and directional variation, thus opening up plant asexual, no molecular transfer, fast and low-cost breeding. The new approach provides new evidence for the connection of information energy waves between plant DNA, which deserves the attention and in-depth study of the scientific community. 展开更多

Objective: To determine the bioinformatical characteristics of differential gene expression in patients with chronic superficial gastritis (CSG) with the Pi-deficiency syndrome (PDS) and those of the non- Pi-deficiency syndrome (non-PDS), i.e. patients of CSG with Pi (脾)-Wei (胃) dampnese-heat syndrome and healthy persons. Methods: With the BRB-Array Tools software package, original data collection and bioinformatic analysis of gene arrays were conducted in 6 CSG patients of PDS (CSG-PDS), 6 CSG patients of non-PDS (CSG-nPDS), and 6 healthy volunteers (Normal). Results: Compared with non-PDS, the gene expressions in PDS with regards to protein synthesis, energy metabolism, immune reaction and ionic transport tended to be down-regulated, while those concerning secretion, cytoskeleton and ubiquitinization were up-regulated dominantly. Conclusions: The two kinds of samples, CSG-PDS/Normal and CSG-PDS/CSG-nPDS, have their respective gene expression profiles with different characteristics. Gene expression profile has certain referential significance in syndrome classification. 展开更多

To date,comparing and visualizing genome sequences remain challenging due to the large genome size.Existing approaches take advantage of the stable property of oligonucleotides and exhibit the main characteristics of the whole genome,yet they commonly fail to show progression patterns of the genome adjustably.This paper presents a novel visual encoding technique,which not only supports the binning process (phylogenetic analysis),but also allows the sequential analysis of the genome.The key idea is to regard the combination of each k-nucleotide and its reverse complement as a visual word,and to represent a long genome sequence with a list of local statistical feature vectors derived from the local frequency of the visual words.Experimental results on a variety of examples demonstrate that the presented approach has the ability to quickly and intuitively visualize DNA sequences,and to help the user identify regions of differences among multiple datasets. 展开更多

Expression profiles of radio-resistant genes in colorectal cancer cells

Objective:To develop new biomarkers for radio-resistance in colorectal cancer(CRC)to improve radiotherapy efficacy at lower position and late phase of CRC patients.Methods:The human CRC cell lines were irradiated by a total dose of 40 Gy.RAN-seq screened differentially expressed genes(DEGs)related to radio-resistance.We orientated the genes which play a vital role in radioresistance by bio-informatics analysis.Ultimately,the genetic expressions were verified by qPCR.Results:3,823radio-resistance genes were found in RKO cells and 4,057 DEGs were in HCT116 cells,compared with the same type cells without radiation treatment.Data of enrichment analysis showed that DEGs obtained from two cell lines were mainly involved in cell cycle,cell division,cell skeleton,cell adhesion,DNA replication,DNA damage and DNA repair,and enrichment of glycometabolism,p53 and HIF-1 signaling pathways.The 10 candidate biomarkers were predicted according to the interaction with each other,and 5 genes(CD44,CXCL-8,ITGA5,ITGB8 and STAT1)were confirmed markedly up-regulated in two cell lines.Conclusion:Radio-resistance of CRC cells induced by X-irradiation changed the variety of genes expression,and those nodes among these genes network interaction may play core regulatory roles,which will provide new therapeutic strategies for clinical radiotherapy。 展开更多
