Then the threshold price is calculated based on the model according to the construction plans of charging facilities in one district. This depends, however, on the probability distribution of incoming order rate. The case of non-equal distribution, such as aggregated arrivals, may compromise the observance of on-time supplies for some orders. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the conditions of post-optimality for stochastic order rate governed production systems in order to observe OTD. Instead of a heuristic or a simulative exploration, a Cartesian-based approach is applied to developing the necessary and sufficient mathematical condition to solve the problem statement. The research result demonstrates that increasing </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">speed of throughput reveals a latent capacity, which allows arrival orders </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">above capacity limits to be backlog-buffered and rescheduled for OTD, exploiting the virtual manufacturing elasticity inherent to all production systems to increase OTD reliability of non JIT-based production systems. 展开更多

Vegetables are vital for human health and are consumed five days a week in Cambodia.However,the production cannot meet domestic demands due to labor-intensive farming and production costs related to soil tillage.Mechanization is needed along with soil quality and sustainability improvements by the adoption of CA(Conservation Agriculture).The research aimed to compare the performance of the no-till vegetable transplanter with punch-planter in CA and hand transplanting in CT(Conventional Tillage).The study was conducted at the Royal University of Agriculture,Cambodia,starting from January to September 2020,by firstly growing sunn hemp as a cover crop and then transplanting Thai round eggplant.A randomized complete block design was used with three treatments,replicated three times.Each plot was 2 m by 15 m,with 0.2-m row spacing.The results showed that the transplanter speed was 0.54 km􀁸h^-1,almost two times the speed of punch planter and 9 times the speed of hand transplanting.The highest working capacity was also achieved with the transplanter.However,different transplanting did not affect plant spacing,or plant density.Plant spacing was 1 m,and plant density varied from 10,300 to 11,500 plants􀁸ha-1.Plant growth and yield were also not influenced by the transplanter in CA,or hand transplanting in CT.Average fruit diameter,fruit weight,fruit number,and yield were 38 mm,31.4 g􀁸fruit-1,15.7 fruits􀁸plant-1 and 3.9 t􀁸ha-1,respectively.The maximum working area of the transplanter and its break-even area were 25.2 ha·y^-1 and 18.3 ha·y^-1,respectively.Using the no-till transplanter may save both time and labor,but its use in combination with CA was unlikely to affect plant growth and yield in the short term. 展开更多

With symmetries measured by the Lie group and curvatures revealed by differential geometry, the continuum stored energy function possesses a translational deformation component, a rotational deformation component, and an ellipsoidal volumetric deformation component. The function, originally developed for elastomeric polymers, has been extended to model brittle and ductile polymers. The function fits uniaxial tension testing data for brittle, ductile, and elastomeric polymers, and elucidates deformation mechanisms. A clear distinction in damage modes between brittle and ductile deformations has been captured. The von Mises equivalent stress has been evaluated by the function and the newly discovered break-even stretch. Common practices of constitutive modeling, relevant features of existing models and testing methods, and a new perspective on the finite elasticity-plasticity theory have also been offered. 展开更多

Harvesting of rice is labor-intensive works and required migrated labor to complete the harvesting works. Mechanical intervention of rice harvesting is urgently needed to increase the productivity. The proper knowledge of economic valuation and operational necessities needs to use of combine harvesters. Research objective was selected to test the technical and economic analysis of Zoomlion rice combine harvester (which is originally developed in China) in Maisherkandi, Mithamain Upazila under Kishoregonj district. The above-mentioned areas are representing <em>haor</em> areas of Bangladesh. Based on the straight-line method, fixed cost items which are machine purchase price, shelter, tax, and insurance were calculated. During the operation of the combine harvester variable cost items such as maintenance and repair, fuel, oil, drivers and guidance were collected. The breakeven point was calculated in terms of the hectares that must be harvested yearly to cover fixed annual costs;and the payback period. Harvesting speed ranged from 1.23 - 3.20 km<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8729;</span></span></span>hr<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8722;</span></span></span>1</sup>. The field capacity of harvester was obtained 0.15 ha<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8729;</span></span>hr<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8722;</span></span>1</sup> and consumed fuel of up to 32 L<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8729;</span></span></span>ha<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8722;</span></span></span>1</sup>. Field sizes of less than 800 m<sup>2</sup> should be avoided for the Zoomlion combine harvester to operate the harvester machine in an efficient manner. The combine produced grains loss ranging from 1.60% - 1.91%. At an initial cost of Tk 2,000,000, owning the combine harvester becomes profitable after 20 ha of paddy field harvested at a harvesting capacity of 0.15 ha<span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8729;</span></span></span>hr<sup><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;"><span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#8722;</span></span></span>1</sup>. Vibration and noise were observed in tolerable limit of the operator. The operator felt comfort to operate the machine. This machine is capable to operate in the muddy field having a water height of 4 - 8 cm. Workability of the combine harvesters depended on soil, weather, crop condition, land size and shape. The combine harvester was able to develop sufficient traction in soft soil during harvesting period in <em>haor</em> area. Zoomlion harvester is a cost-effective and time-saving machine but the initial costs are higher. 展开更多

Typically, they are applied to support decision processes or to gain information for the control of profits and sales. Firstly, the study gives an overview of the basic accounting systems. Secondly, the study shows possible ways of performing breakeven analyses for a single-stage, make-to-order production in the case of random production and demand structures. To model these structures, queueing systems are employed. As a general result, we see that break-even analyses must always be performed taking into account an existing planning system. Under practical aspects, GI/G/1 systems turn out to map complex real situations realistically. From the examples given it can be concluded that one achieves different results compared with using a deterministic model even in the case of a simple, random effects approach. In particular, it is shown that stochastic modelling in general is helpful in avoiding incorrect decisions. 展开更多

The current studies on power plant technologies suggest that Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle(IGCC)systems are an effective and economic CO_(2) capture technology pathway.In addition,the system in conventional configuration has the advantage of being more“CO_(2) capture ready”than other technologies.Pulverized coal boilers(PC)have,however,proven high technical performance attributes and are economically often most practical technologies.To highlight the pros and cons of both technologies in connection with an integrated CO_(2) capture,a comparative analysis of ultrasupercritical PC and IGCC is carried out in this paper.The technical design,the mass and energy balance and the system optimizations are implemented by using the ECLIPSE chemical plant simulation software package.Built upon these technologies,the CO_(2) capture facilities are incorporated within the system.The most appropriate CO_(2) capture systems for the PC system selected for this work are the oxy-fuel system and the postcombustion scheme using Monoethanolamine solvent scrubber column(MEA).The IGCC systems are designed in two configurations:Water gas shift reactor and Selexol-based separation.Both options generate CO_(2)-rich and hydrogen rich-gas streams.Following the comparative analysis of the technical performance attributes of the above cycles,the economic assessment is carried out using the economic toolbox of ECLIPSE is seamlessly connected to the results of the mass and energy balance as well as the utility usages.The total cost assessment is implemented according to the stepcount exponential costing method using the dominant factors and/or a combination of parameters.Subsequently,based on a set of assumptions,the net present value estimation is implemented to calculate the breakeven electricity selling prices and the CO_(2) avoidance cost. 展开更多
