China's traditional business cultureConfucian thought has had a profound influence on the way Chinese people do business. For example, "etiquette," the basic element of Confucianism, originated from the ritual worship of, and sacrifice to, the ancestors. Later it developed into a set of moral rules based On kinship and hierarchy, and has been weaved into five interpersonal relations: those between ruler and subject, father and son, husband and wife, brothers and friends. Not only did it play a role in solidifying patriarchal-feudal relationship, but it is deeply rooted in the living habits and customs of today and has become a force which regulates social interactions and behaviors. Since ancient times, the principle that "an even temper brings wealth" has been an essential part of Confucianism. 展开更多

Using a sample of A-share listed companies from the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2010 to 2020,this study examines the impact of membership in non-local chambers of commerce(NLCCs)on corporate innovation, considering the dual attributes of business culture and social networks associated with these chambers. The research finds that joining a NLCC significantly promotes corporate innovation.Agency costs play a partial mediating role between membership in NLCCs and corporate innovation, with a chain mediation path of“NLCC-social capital-agency costs-corporate innovation.”Further analysis reveals that the more NLCCs there are in a company’s location, the greater the positive impact of joining one on corporate innovation. The promotion effect of joining a NLCC on corporate innovation is stronger for state-owned enterprises(SOEs)compared to non-state-owned enterprises(non-SOEs).In addition, membership in NLCCs fosters both invention and non-invention innovation. 展开更多

That explains its significance for more efficient functioning of various systems in business world. For that reason, organized societies with developed economies invest in empiric, theoretic, and theoretic-empiric investigations of various sectors and applied dimensions of business ethics. Its epistemological sense reflects to increasing productivity, more successful establishing of the system of hierarchy within an enterprise, appropriate formulating the strategy of management, improving the market reputation, increasing profitability, and strengthening social responsibility. The complexity of modem and successful business is based on a series of social factors which spread in the arch from anthropological, socially-psychological, and cultural characteristics of a human being, to quality characteristics of the global society. That is why the scientific information available to business ethics is synthesized from various scientific perspectives. This paradigm is a starting point of this project which is about the above subject. Its cognitive aim is presented through the description, classification, and explanation of the influence of business ethics to successful functioning of every kind of business institution. As a theoretic investigation which grows from verified scientific information and their critical analysis, it relies on standard, general scientific, basic special and general methods which are characteristic to the applied scientific disciplines. Business ethics has clearly established two key cognitive bases of its investigations: 1) personal value attitude; and 2) interests of a company, groups, and individuals in them. This project is only a small contribution to explaining elementary functions of this applied ethics in business world. 展开更多

Under the pressure of the national crisis in modem China,millennia-old traditional concepts have been broken and adjusted, and new trends and ideas have emerged in large numbers. In order to defeat local cosmetics, from the moment they entered China foreign cosmetics companies attacked the traditional Chinese cosmetics of eyebrow pigment(dai),lip pigment(gong),rouge(zhi),and face powder(fen).Corresponding to the enlightenment ideas of the early twentieth century, women could no longer pursue beauty in a way that harmed their bodies. In the movement to liberate women's bodies in the 1920s,radical intellectuals developed a severe criticism of the bad habits of using corsets and applying powder, and the concept of"healthy beauty"came into being. However,in the context of the development of the women's liberation movement and the respect for women's consumer rights, the healthy beauty theory failed to suppress women's consumption of beauty products, and"natural beauty"and"artificial beauty"ultimately coexisted in lifestyles of women in the modem era of Shanghai. 展开更多
