Both the seat and cab system of truck play a vital role in ride comfort.The damping matching methods of the two systems are studied separately at present.However,the driver,seat,and cab system are one inseparable whol...Both the seat and cab system of truck play a vital role in ride comfort.The damping matching methods of the two systems are studied separately at present.However,the driver,seat,and cab system are one inseparable whole.In order to further improve ride comfort,the seat suspension is regarded as the fifth suspension of the cab,a new idea of "Five-suspensions" is proposed.Based on this idea,a 4 degree-of-freedom driver-seat-cab coupled system model is presented.Using the tested cab suspensions excitations as inputs and seat acceleration response as compared output,the simulation model is built.Taking optimal ride comfort as target,a new method of damping collaborative optimization for Five-suspensions is proposed.With a practical example of seat and cab system,the damping parameters are optimized and validated by simulation and bench test.The results show the seat vertical frequency-weighted RMS acceleration values tested for the un-optimized and optimized Five-suspensions are 0.50 m/s~2 and 0.39 m/s~2,respectively,with a decrease by 22.0%,which proves the model and method proposed are correct and reliable.The idea of "Five-suspensions" and the method proposed provide a reference for achieving global optimal damping matching of seat suspension and cab suspensions.展开更多
In order to evaluate the performance of semi-active cab’s hydraulic mounts(SHM)of the off-road vibratory roller with the optimal fuzzy-PID(proportional integral derivative)control,a nonlinear dynamic model of the veh...In order to evaluate the performance of semi-active cab’s hydraulic mounts(SHM)of the off-road vibratory roller with the optimal fuzzy-PID(proportional integral derivative)control,a nonlinear dynamic model of the vehicle interacting with off-road terrains is established based on Matlab/Simulink software.The weighted root-mean-square(RMS)acceleration responses of the driver’s seat heave and the cab’s pitch angle are chosen as objective functions.The SHM is then optimized and analyzed via the optimal fuzzy-PID control under different operation conditions.The simulations results show that the driver’s ride comfort and the cab shaking are greatly affected by the off-road terrains under various operating conditions of the vehicle,especially at the speed from 8 to 12 km/h on a very poor terrain surface of Grenville soil ground under the vehicle travelling.With SHM using the optimal fuzzy-PID control,the driver’s ride comfort and the cab shaking are clearly improved under various operation conditions of the vehicle,particularly at the speed from 6 to 7 km/h of the vehicle traveling.展开更多

This study seeks to review and prov...The health and productivity of mining operations are negatively impacted by coal mine fires, making them dangerous. It happened everywhere, in both working and abandoned coal mines. This study seeks to review and provide technical analytics of potential mine fires and fire detection in a Dual-Cab suppression system. Analysis was done on potential mine fires like spontaneous combustion, flammable gas explosions, and cab vehicle fires. Additionally, a review of the NIOSH experiment was conducted to assess the performance of smoke and flame detectors in a dual-cab suppression system. This study guides both open-pit and underground mining operations. Additionally, a few ideas and suggestions are presented to assist with on-the-job safety analysis, ensuing creative alterations, and technology advancement for the mining industry’s overall safety.展开更多
