From Knowledge Transfer to Capability Development:The Future of PBL+CBL Teaching Method in Operating Room Nursing Education

Concomitant with the advancement of contemporary medical technology,the significance of perioperative nursing has been increasingly accentuated,necessitating elevated standards for the pedagogy of perioperative nursing.Presently,the PBL(problem-based learning)pedagogical approach,when integrated with CBL(case-based learning),has garnered considerable interest.An extensive literature review has been conducted to analyze the application of the PBL-CBL fusion in the education of perioperative nursing.Findings indicate that this integrative teaching methodology not only enhances students’theoretical knowledge,practical competencies,and collaborative skills but also contributes to the elevation of teaching quality.In conclusion,the PBL-CBL teaching approach holds immense potential for broader application in perioperative nursing education.Nevertheless,it is imperative to continually refine this combined pedagogical strategy to further enhance the caliber of perioperative nursing instruction and to cultivate a greater number of exceptional nursing professionals in the operating room setting. 展开更多

It is possible to say that the automotive industries of Brazil and Turkey have developed as assembly industries and showed great similarities in this context.In the 1980s,in line with the development direction of the world’s automotive industry,Turkey tried to make the country’s investment environment attractive for foreign international companies to produce in their country.We can say that while Brazil created the state incentive system in order to attract foreign investments to its country since the 1950s,it tried to increase its dose with the 1990s.Although,like Turkey,Brazil has thought of producing local cars,the difference between Turkey and Brazil is that it has considered exporting and was able to export not only to South America,but also to African countries.Another difference of Brazil is that it has implemented incentive policies for the automotive sector and has been able to rearrange its incentive elements according to changing conditions.Turkey,on the other hand,has decided to return from the policy of attracting foreign investments to its country since 2006,and in 2011,it was decided to produce domestic automobiles.As of December 2019,a prototype of the domestic car was produced by Turkey’s Automobile Initiative Group and work for mass production began.Thus,the problem of adaptation to electric vehicle production was tried to be overcome by moving to a new phase in the way of technology development.This approach was used by the South Korean automotive industry in the 1980s and it was successful and technology development capability was gained in a short time.In order to see the success of the application of this method in Turkey,it is thought that it is necessary to wait for the result of the domestic automobile project.Brazil,on the other hand,was able to rank high in world automotive industry production with its sectoral incentive policies that can adapt to changing conditions and its structure that considers exports from the past,while Turkey lagged behind. 展开更多

Purpose:This study investigates the role of the engineering education environment created by the implementation of the“Plan for Educating and Training Outstanding Engineers”(PETOE)on the professional capability development of engineering students from the perspective of students'experience.Design/Approach/Methods:This study uses data from the National Engineering Student Survey and multiple regression analysis to explore the role of institutional resources and support,teaching reforms,and interpersonal interaction on the professional development of engineering students.Findings:The opportunities for on-campus practical activities provided by the institution,content of the teachers'teaching,teaching methods,comprehensive coursework assessment,and interpersonal interactions contributed to the development of students'engineering competencies,with limited contributions from research-based teaching methods.Internship opportunities and international exchange environments were negatively associated with the development of engineering skills in an“unexpected”manner.OriginalityNalue:Focusing on students'experiences of engineering education reform,this study comprehensively evaluates the implementation of the reform measures adopted under PETOE.Furthermore,it assesses how corresponding changes in the general educational environment relate to students’professional capability development.Thus,this study addresses an important research gap in educational reformthe lack of domestic empirical studies in China. 展开更多

Is China's agricultural enterprise growing steadily?Evidence from listed agricultural companies 被引量:1

Agricultural enterprises are integral for agricultural modernization,serving as a bridge between scattered small-scale farmers and modern markets.However,agricultural competitiveness is still weak in China.This paper uses the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)method to measure the growth performance of China's listed agricultural companies and analyze its influencing factors based on Panel-Corrected Standard Errors(PCSE)to verify whether they are capable of achieving sustainable development.The findings confirm that first,listed Chinese agricultural companies have significantly increased profitability and scale in recent years but are still weak compared to other industries.The growth performance of such enterprises is generally stable,the difference between them is decreasing,and their growth ranking fluctuates greatly,with significant regional and industrial characteristics.Second,technological efficiency,scale,and age are positively related to the growth of listed agricultural companies.The diversification and expansion of business harm the profitability and development of enterprises.Currently,financial support can satisfy the short-term profit-seeking demands of enterprises but is inadequate to improve the ability of enterprises to grow.Third,China's listed agricultural companies need to devise policies through a forward-looking perspective and use them more effectively.Additionally,the transformation opportunities introduced by non agricultural capital into agriculture deserve attention.When agricultural enterprises realize technological progress via modern capital,they understand the importance of utilizing and integrating technological innovation and increase the efficiency of transforming new technology into productivity.Policy orientation should be attentive to the public welfare of these listed companies and take into account the demands of corporate profits to realize the long-term sustainable development of enterprises and regions. 展开更多
