Although much research has been conducted on the interactions between the career development of foreign language teachers and their contexts around the world,a literature review reveals that there exists scanty research on the relationship between university Russian language teachers’career development and their contexts in China since 1949.Based on relevant studies on the career development of foreign language teachers and the ecological theory,this paper involves research on the impact that different ecological systems(micro-,meso-,macro-and exo-ones)have played in the career development of Russian language teachers in China.Participants are 10 Chinese Russian teachers of different ages from different universities in different parts of China.Via literature review,narration methods and semi-structured(in-depth)interviews with the help of NVivo,this research finds that Russian language teachers’career development results from multi-faceted interactions of the following contexts:ideology,Russian language educational policies and personal factors as well as college contexts.This paper concludes with some suggestions for improving Russian language teachers’career development in China. 展开更多

This paper comprehensively analyzed the predicament of college students and causes. This study uses the“ATR Three-Stage Progressive Cyclic Career Counseling Model”to support the early career development of new teachers,aiming at the challenges faced by new teachers under China's"Double Reduction"policy.Based on the theories of Person-Job matching and Career Development,this paper analyzes the career counseling attitude of 347 new teachers through questionnaires.It is found that although new teachers actively seek career counseling,their practice is limited.The study recommends the development of career counseling programs,strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and industry,encouraging continuing professional development,establishing assessment feedback mechanisms,and raising awareness of career counseling for new teachers to promote their career development. 展开更多

With the development of information and communications technology,the sharing economy grows dramatically.For example,the transaction value in China’s sharing economy was about 42942 billion RMB in 2018,increased of 41.6%over the previous year.Critique of the sharing economy points that the presence of the sharing economy prevents its traditional counterpart from developing sustainably by creating unemployment in traditional industries related to the sharing economy.This paper is therefore to study the dual effect of the sharing economy on the restructuring the manufacturing industry and the development of career path.By constructing an economic model,we particularly investigate the change in the labor market structure due to the presence of the sharing economy and the welfare in such a case.We show that the presence of the sharing economy can bring two effects,i.e.,DIVERSIFICATION and INCLUSIVENESS,into the workplace,which enriches the job structure and allows more labor with relative low skills to join.Regardless of the labor skill,the rapid development of the sharing economy provides new paths for their career development.In addition,we demonstrate that the above two effects crucially rely on the characteristic of CORRECTNESS of the government’s policy.The results of the theoretical model explain the necessary of promoting moderate sharing economy in terms of career development and can also be applied in the traditional manufacturing industry to explain the effect of the sharing economy on such industry. 展开更多

The goal of this study is to measure the effectiveness of a career development system implemented at a research and technology organization at satisfying the context requirements of a decree issued by the Basque Country government.Through in-depth surveying of 80 R&D professionals over the five years,the authors aimed to determine whether a career development system,when it is linked to context requirements and researchers’contributions,could offer researchers feedback about their career aims and increase their job satisfaction.During the five years of the study,the researchers’capacity to meet career requirements improved by 20%,and job satisfaction,although it declined at first,increased substantially in the last two years,reaching a historic high for the employee satisfaction survey. 展开更多

目的探讨发展型人力资源管理实践与护士建言行为的关系,以及职业韧性的中介作用。方法便利抽取河南省7所三甲医院的328名护士,采用发展型人力资源管理实践量表、职业韧性量表和建言行为量表进行调查。采用AMOS26.0软件建立中介效应模型... 目的探讨发展型人力资源管理实践与护士建言行为的关系,以及职业韧性的中介作用。方法便利抽取河南省7所三甲医院的328名护士,采用发展型人力资源管理实践量表、职业韧性量表和建言行为量表进行调查。采用AMOS26.0软件建立中介效应模型。结果发展型人力资源管理实践、职业韧性、建言行为总分分别为68.70±6.26、94.16±8.80、33.65±8.35。职业韧性在发展型人力资源管理实践与护士建言行为之间起部分中介作用,中介效应占总效应的54.5%。结论护士建言行为、职业韧性及医院发展型人力资源管理实践均处于中等水平;发展型人力资源管理实践可直接促进或通过职业韧性间接影响护士的建言行为。医院应采取发展型人力资源管理策略,提升护士的职业韧性,从而提高其建言行为。 展开更多

Today, majority of employees still practice a more or less self-protective strategy. In this paper the authors have reported the results of an empirical study of factors motivating degreed potential employees to move to self-enterprising. The deciding factors to become an entrepreneur and of sustainable employment-oriented factors are analyzed in order to discover how they differ. Participants consisted of 200 students from Malaysia entered final year of business undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Self-administered questionnaires were used to gather data on factors and types of relationships influencing career choice and entrepreneurial intention. The results will serve as a basis for improvement of employment practices and promising entrepreneurial curriculum in universities to support start-ups in creating sustainable businesses. 展开更多

Guidance programs have significant roles in preparing students for the future.The study recognizes that guidance and counseling programs are a transformative process of helping students strengthen their career planning,education,and preparation for employment.The guidance programs of first-year college students from Guangdong Peizheng College(GPC)in Guangdong Province,China was investigated,with 357 freshman students currently enrolled in the participating school involved in this study.Moreover,12 guidance counselors were interviewed through focused-group discussions,including the school director,for the qualitative component of the study.Utilizing the convergent parallel design mixed method,the study was able to elucidate the quantitative and qualitative relevance of the data gathered from the selected participants.The emerging results found that Chinese freshman students were satisfied with all of the parameters of the guidance programs of the school.The school counselors are able to provide students with a rich reservoir of academic cand guidance support,career mentoring,and career guidance.There were contributing factors that need to be addressed if improvement and innovation of the guidance program is the primary goal.Support and resources should be prioritized in order to enrich the development not only of the students but also of the guidance counselors.The study serves as empirical evidence for proposing an improved school-based guidance program as practical outputs of the study further to innovate the effectiveness of the implementation of guidance services. 展开更多
