In order to enhance the abilities of practical innovation and solving complex engineering problems of students in the engineering context,we design a course cluster teaching model based on a unified enterprise-level p...In order to enhance the abilities of practical innovation and solving complex engineering problems of students in the engineering context,we design a course cluster teaching model based on a unified enterprise-level project case.The program divides the knowledge points required by the project into the corresponding courses,and divides their realization into the practical teaching cases,so as to realize the design of teaching practice cases embodied in the unified project framework.This model allows students to practice projects based on the unified project background while learning knowledge from different courses.It not only allows students to learn abstract,fragmented,and difficult-to-understand knowledge systems thoroughly,but also integrates the knowledge into the practice of the enterprise-level project development,helping students experience the value of knowledge in complex engineering projects and thus improving their ability to solve complex engineering problems while learning theoretical knowledge.展开更多

By interpolating a number of certain v...The paper studies on case-based reasoning of uncertain product attributes in configuration design of a product family. Interval numbers characterize uncertain product attributes. By interpolating a number of certain values randomly to replace interval numbers and making projection pursuit analysis on source cases and target cases of expanded numbers, we can get a projection value in the optimal projection direction. Based on projection value, we can construct a case retrieval model of projection pursuit that can handle coexisting certain and uncertain product attributes. The application examples of chainsaw configuration design show that case retrieval is highly sensitive to reliable results.展开更多

This innovative model of SJTU Library operation is not only in concert with the strategic goals of SJTU but also with two other conspicuous developmental trends in the larger academic library circle;namely, 1) a trend toward the deepening of library service support in academic arena on the one hand and 2) the trend of diversifying library outreach services on the other hand.Based on our first-hand involvement in all phases and aspects of this project and its subsequent review and analysis undertakings, this paper expatiates upon the IC2Culture Exploring Project of SJTU Library in terms of its vision, its specific mission objectives, its program design, its unique characteristics, its launching process, its salient case studies, its initial results and its strategies for a sustainable development in the future.展开更多
As one of the compulsory courses of oil and gas storage and transportation engineering,“Strength Design and Safety Management of Storage and Transportation Facilities”is a comprehensive course of both practicality a...As one of the compulsory courses of oil and gas storage and transportation engineering,“Strength Design and Safety Management of Storage and Transportation Facilities”is a comprehensive course of both practicality and theory.In order to solve the unbalanced distribution of theoretical and applied content in the teaching process,the teaching team reformed the teaching mode of the structure design of large storage tanks in the course of“Strength Design and Safety Management of Storage and Transportation Facilities”and introduced case-based teaching.On the basis of the original course,practical engineering case analysis such as wind-induced buckling of large storage tank and uneven settlement of tank foundation was added,which increased the proportion of application content.It is a new type of discussion teaching integrating case collection,group discussion and afterclass experience exchange.According to the recent three years of teaching practice,students’interest in this course has increased greatly and teaching quality has improved significantly,which fully verified the feasibility of engineering case-based teaching in teaching reform.The teaching team has gradually improved the teaching process according to the relevant experience and lessons in classroom practice and made a successful attempt in the teaching reform of storage and transportation structure safety courses,which is of positive significance for training application-oriented composite talents with the ability to solve practical problems in the new era.展开更多
