The conjugation of semi-solid process technique and casting-rolling technique applied to produce the magnesium strips was studied. The semi-solid slurry has been prepared continuously by the mechanical method and its temperature was controlled strictly at the same time. AZ91D and AZ31 casting magnesium alloys were applied to the experiment. The casting-rolling strips with non-dendritic structure were obtained and its main mechanical property is better. The process ability of the casting-rolling strips was studied. It is significative to link the semi-solid process techniques and casting-rolling techniques, through which we can get high quality magnesium alloy strips with non-dendritic structure and improve the overall properties of the products. 展开更多

Corrosion behavior of Cu/Al casting-rolled clad plates in different alkaline solution

The effect of pH value and different kinds of anions on the corrosion behavior of Cu/Al casting-rolled clad plates in the alkaline solution was evaluated by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD),weight loss analysis,3D confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM)and electrochemical test.Results show the corrosion mainly occurs on the aluminum side.The corrosion resistance of the Cu/Al decreases as the pH value increases.When pH≥12,the dissolution of the film layer is faster than the passivation process.The addition of Cl^(-)ions reduces the corrosion resistance of the Cu/Al clad plates,which leads to pitting corrosion.The higher the concentration of Cl^(-)ions,the more prone the pitting to occur.The addition of SO_(4)^(2-)ions causes the denudation of the samples.The corrosion resistance of the Cu/Al is better in the alkaline solution containing NO_(3)^(-)ions than that in the solution containing Cl^(-)ions or SO_(4)^(2-)ions.When adding SO_(4)^(2-),NO^(3)^(-)and Cl^(-)to the pure alkaline solution,the corrosion resistance of the Cu/Al clad plates decreases. 展开更多

Bearing ring is the crucial component of bearing. With regard to such problems as material waste, low efficiency and high energy consumption in current process of producing large bearing ring, a new process named "casting-rolling compound forming technology" is researched by taking the typical 42CrMo slew bearing as object. Through theoretical analysis, the design criteria of the main casting-rolling forming parameters are put forward at first. Then the constitutive relationship model of as-cast 42CrMo steel and its mathematical model of dynamic recrystallization are obtained according to the results of the hot compression experiment. By a coupled thermal-mechanical finite element model for radial-axial rolling of bearing ring, the fraction of dynamic recrystallization is calculated and recrystallized grains size are predicated. Meanwhile, the effects of the initial rolling temperature and feed rate of idle roll on material microstructure evolution are analyzed. Finally, the industrial rolling experiment is designed and performed, based on the simulation results. In addition, mechanical and metallographic tests are conducted on rolled bearing ring to get the mechanical parameters and metallographic structure. The experimental data and results show that the mechanical properties of bearing ring produced by casting-rolling compound forming technology are up to industrial standard, and a qualified bearing ring can be successfully formed by employing this new technology. Through the study, a process of forming large bearing ring directly by using casting ring blank is obtained, which could provide an effective theoretical guidance for manufacturing large ring parts. Identifying factors that exert more influence on system output from data is one of the most challenging tasks in science and engineering.In this work,a sensitivity analysis of the generalized Gaussian process regression(SA-GGPR)model is proposed to identify important factors of the nonlinear counting system.In SA-GGPR,the GGPR model with Poisson likelihood is adopted to describe the nonlinear counting system.The GGPR model with Poisson likelihood inherits the merits of nonparametric kernel learning and Poisson distribution,and can handle complex nonlinear counting systems.Nevertheless,understanding the relationships between model inputs and output in the GGPR model with Poisson likelihood is not readily accessible due to its nonparametric and kernel structure.SA-GGPR addresses this issue by providing a quantitative assessment of how different inputs affect the system output.The application results on a simulated nonlinear counting system and a real steel casting-rolling process have demonstrated that the proposed SA-GGPR method outperforms several state-of-the-art methods in identification accuracy. 展开更多
