Results show that with the increase of freeze-thaw processes, the mass, uniaxial compression strength, and elastic modulus of the anhydrite specimens decrease while the porosity and plasticity characteristics increase. For example, after 120 cycles, the uniaxial compression strength and elastic modulus decrease by 46.54% and 60.16%, and the porosity increase by 75%. Combined with the evolution trend of stressstrain curves and the detected events, three stages were labeled to investigate the AE characteristics in freeze-thaw weathered anhydrite rock. It is found that with the increase of freeze-thaw cycles, the proportions of AE counts in stage Ⅰ and stage Ⅱ show a decaying exponential trend. Contrarily, the proportion of AE counts in stage Ⅲ displays an exponential ascending trend. Meanwhile, as the freeze-thaw cycles increase, the low-frequency AE signals increase while the intermediate-frequency AE signals decrease. After 120 cycles, the proportion of low-frequency AE signals increases by 168.95%, and the proportion of intermediate-frequency AE signals reduces by 81.14%. It is concluded that the microtensile cracking events occupy a dominant position during the loading process. With the increase of freeze-thaw cycles, the b value of samples decreases. After 120 cycles, b value decreases by 27.2%, which means that the proportion of cracking events in rocks with small amplitude decreases. Finally, it is proposed that the freeze-thaw damage mechanism of anhydrite is also characterized by the water chemical softening effect.展开更多

文摘This study compares the strength characteristics of rocks anchored by NPR bolts and ordinary bolts with varied preloads, based on the mechanical properties of NPR bolts(with a negative Poisson’s ratio). The results show that the uniaxial compressive stress-strain curve of ordinary anchored rocks exhibits noticeable abrupt changes. After reaching peak strength, the bolt breaks, whereas the stress-strain curve of NPR-anchored rocks is smoother. The NPR bolt enters the stage of continuous resistance after reaching maximal strength and does not break. As the preload increases, the strength of the anchored rock grows linearly.A calculation equation for the strength of the anchored rock is proposed based on the preload. The theoretical equation fits the test results well, and the fitted parameters show that NPR bolts can better increase the strength of the rock. The concept of dynamic toughness UC of anchored rock is proposed to reflect the comprehensive mechanical properties of anchored rock, including strength and plasticity. As the preload increases, the UC of ordinary anchored rock first decreases and then increases, while the UC of the NPR anchored rock does not change significantly with the preload when the strain is small, and the UC increases with the increase of the preload when the strain is large.

文摘Wheat allergy has become a serious health threat worldwide and its prevalence has increased alarmingly in the past few years.Factors such as food matrix and food processing may alter the structure of wheat proteins, and hence affect its allergenic properties. However, few reports have focused on the influence of Chinese traditional starter fermentation on wheat allergy. In this study,5 starters from different regions of China were used for fermentation, and protein characteristics were monitored by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electropheresis, and immunoreactivity analyzed by immunoassay with allergenic serum was obtained from New Zealand white rabbits. The allergenicity of steamed and baked matrices was also evaluated. The results showed that the allergenicity of wheat dough was basically increased at the beginning and then decreased during fermentation, but specific trends depend on different starters. With the progress of fermentation, especially as pH value decreased to 3.0-4.0,the allergenicity decreased significantly.Baking and steaming can reduce the allergenicity of wheat matrix, but fermentation is not a key factor affecting the allergenic activity of proteins. Our results can provide a theoretical basis for controlling wheat allergenicity in food proces sing or producing hypoallergenic food.

文摘A comprehensive understanding of spatial distribution and clustering patterns of gravels is of great significance for ecological restoration and monitoring. However, traditional methods for studying gravels are low-efficiency and have many errors. This study researched the spatial distribution and cluster characteristics of gravels based on digital image processing technology combined with a self-organizing map(SOM)and multivariate statistical methods in the grassland of northern Tibetan Plateau. Moreover, the correlation of morphological parameters of gravels between different cluster groups and the environmental factors affecting gravel distribution were analyzed. The results showed that the morphological characteristics of gravels in northern region(cluster C)and southern region(cluster B)of the Tibetan Plateau were similar, with a low gravel coverage, small gravel diameter, and elongated shape. These regions were mainly distributed in high mountainous areas with large topographic relief. The central region(cluster A)has high coverage of gravels with a larger diameter, mainly distributed in high-altitude plains with smaller undulation.Principal component analysis(PCA)results showed that the gravel distribution of cluster A may be mainly affected by vegetation, while those in clusters B and C could be mainly affected by topography, climate, and soil. The study confirmed that the combination of digital image processing technology and SOM could effectively analyzed the spatial distribution characteristics of gravels, providing a new mode for gravel research.

文摘To study the damage mechanisms of anhydrite rock under freeze-thaw cycles, the physicalmechanical properties and the microcracking activities of anhydrite rock were investigated through mass variation, nuclear magnetic resonance, scanning electron microscope tests, and uniaxial compression combined with acoustic emission(AE) tests. Finally, it is proposed that the freeze-thaw damage mechanism of anhydrite is also characterized by the water chemical softening effect.

文摘The irregularity of jointed network poses a challenge to the determination of field mechanical param-eters of columnar jointed rock mass(CJRM),and a reasonable prediction of deformation and strength characteristics of CJRM is important for engineering construction. The Voronoi diagram and three-dimensional printing technology were used to make an irregular columnar jointed mold, and the irregular CJRM(ICJRM)specimens with different dip directions and dip angles were prepared.Uniaxial compression tests were performed, and the anisotropic strength and deformation characteristics of ICJRM were described. The failure modes and mechanisms were revealed in accordance with the final appearances of the ICJRM specimens.Based on the model test results, the empirical correlations for determining the field deformation and strength parameters of CJRM were derived using the dip angle and modified joint factor. The proposed empirical equations were used in the Baihetan Project, and the calculated mechanical parameters were compared with the field test results and those obtained from the tunneling quality index method. Results showed that the deformation parameters determined by the two proposed methods are all consistent with the field test results, and these two methods can also estimate the strength parameters effectively.

文摘Nitrocellulose,or cellulose nitrate, has received considerable interest due to its various applications, such as propellants, coating agents and gas generators. However, its high mechanical sensitivity caused many accidents during its storage and usage in ammunition. In this work, two kinds of insensitive step ladderstructured nitrocellulose(LNC)with different nitrogen contents were synthesized. The products were characterized by FT-IR,Raman,XRD,SEM,elemental analysis,TGA,DSC,accelerating rate calorimeter analysis(ARC),and drop weight test to study their molecular structure, thermal characteristics and desensitization performance.Compared with raw nitrocellulose,LNC has a sharper exothermic peak in the DSC and ARC curves. The H50values of the two kinds of LNC increased from 25.76 to 30.01 cm for low nitrogen content and from 18.02 to 21.84 cm for high nitrogen content, respectively. The results show that the ladder-structure of LNC which provides regular molecular arrangement and a soft buffer made with polyethylene glycol could affect the energy releasing process of LNC and reduce the sensitivity of LNC.Insensitive LNC provides an alternative to be used as a binder in insensitive propellants formulation.

文摘Benggang is a special type of soil erosion, which widely distributes in the granite residual soil area of southern China.Owing to the influence of local climate and topography, shallow cracks having different morphological characteristics are easily formed on the slope surface. These shallow cracks damage the surface structure of the slope and accelerate water infiltration, making it easier to cause severe soil and water loss. However, the mechanism of Benggang process is still unclear, especially for slopes with different shallow crack characteristics. In this study, granite residual soil was collected from Benngang erosion area in Yudu County,Jiangxi Province, southern China.Three experimental treatments with slope surface crack rates of 0%,5.23%,and 11.70%were performed.Simultaneous monitoring of moisture content and soil temperature in the slope were carried out during rainfall, and the characteristics of preferential flow were monitored with different crack rates.Morphological development and evolution process of Benggang with different crack rates were studied. Results show that high surface crack rate of the shallow surface on the slope accelerated the development of shallow gully erosion, leading to premature occurrence of gully erosion. As the shallow crack rate increased from 0%to 5.23%and 11.70%,the width-depth ratio of the rills at the slope bottom increased from 0.69 to 1.02 and 1.16,respectively.At the same time,a correlation between moisture and temperature data was observed for the process of water-heat coupled migration. The upper soil temperature of slope decreased quickly due to preferential flow. The simultaneous monitoring of soil moisture and temperature can effectively track preferential flow and indicate the water movement.Temperature data was a more sensitive indicator of the seepage paths of preferential flow compared to moisture data.

文摘In order to investigate the behavior characteristics of asphalt components during the process of nano-cracks temperature self-healing(NTS),molecular simulation technology was used to simulate the temperature self-healing of asphalt.Based on the determination of asphalts(virgin asphalt and aged asphalt),the proportional changes of asphalt components were confirmed. The distribution characteristics of asphalt components were obtained by marking different components in the process of NTS.At the same time, the rationality of the micro simulation findings was confirmed by asphalt performance tests and infrared spectroscopy results. The results show that different asphalt components have different behavior characteristics in the process of NTS.The content of asphaltene and resin plays a key role in the process of NTS,while saturation and aromatics play an active role in the temperature self-healing before and after aging. The NTS is the result of the comprehensive action of different components, and the self-healing efficiency is proportional to the relative molecular mass. The effect of aging on the NTS is also realized by changing the proportion of asphalt components.

文摘Simultaneous stresses of salinity and drought often coincide during rice-growing seasons in saline lands, primarily due to insufficient water resources and inadequate irrigation facilities.Consequently, combined salinity-drought stress poses a major threat to rice production. In this study, two salinity levels(NS,non-salinity;HS,high salinity)along with three drought treatments(CC,control condition;DJ,drought stress imposed at jointing;DH,drought stress imposed at heading)were performed to investigate their combined influences on leaf photosynthetic characteristics, biomass accumulation, and rice yield formation.Salinity, drought, and their combination led to a shortened growth period from heading to maturity, resulting in a reduced overall growth duration.Grain yield was reduced under both salinity and drought stress, with a more substantial reduction under the combined salinity-drought stress. The combined stress imposed at heading caused greater yield losses in rice compared with the stress imposed at jointing.Additionally, the combined salinity-drought stress induced greater decreases in shoot biomass accumulation from heading to maturity,as well as in shoot biomass and nonstructural carbohydrate(NSC)content in the stem at heading and maturity. However,it increased the harvest index and NSC remobilization reserve.Salinity and drought reduced the leaf area index and SPAD value of flag leaves and weakened the leaf photosynthetic characteristics as indicated by lower photosynthetic rates, transpiration rates, and stomatal conductance. These reductions were more pronounced under the combined stress.Salinity, drought, and especially their combination, decreased the activities of ascorbate peroxidase, catalase, and superoxide dismutase, while increasing the contents of malondialdehyde, hydrogen peroxide, and superoxide radical. Our results indicated a more significant yield loss in rice when subjected to combined salinity-drought stress. The individual and combined stresses of salinity and drought diminished antioxidant enzyme activities, inhibited leaf photosynthetic functions, accelerated leaf senescence, and subsequently lowered assimilate accumulation and grain yield.
