Group 1 was the control group, fed with basal diet; group 2, group 3 and group 4 were fed with basal diet added with 0.75%, 1.0% and 1.25% astragalus powder, respectively; group 5 and group 6 were separately fed with basal diet added with 1.0% and 1.25% astragalus pow- der, but the astragalus powder was used for 10 d and then was forbidden for 10 d in turn during the whole experiment. The content of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TCHO), high-density lipoprotein-Cholesterol ( HDL-C), and low-density lipoprotein-Cholesterol (LDL-C) were respectively determined when the chickens were 35-day-old and 63-day-old, while the percentage of abdominal fat (PAF) as well as intramuscular fat (IMF) and subcutaneous fat ply (SFP) was measured when the chickens were 63-day-old. [ Result] In 35-day-old chickens, the levels of TCHO were sig- nificantly or very significantly lower in group 3, group 4, and group 6 than in control group ( P 〈0.05 or 0.01 ) ; the levels of LDL-C significantly lower in group 3 and group 6 ( P〈0. 05) ; the level of HDL-C significantly higher in group 5 (P〈0.05). In 63-day-old chickens, the levels of TCHO and LDL-C were significantly or very significantly lower in group 3, group 4, and group 5 than in control group ( P 〈 0.05 or 0.01 ) while the levels of HDL-C were significantly higher in these groups; the PAF was significantly lower in group 3 ( P 〈 0.05). [ Condasion] Astragalus powder should re- duce the levels of TG, TCHO and LDL-C, promote HDL-C content, and also play a certain regulative role in deposition of abdominal fat.展开更多

[ Method] 360 1-day-old chickens were randomly divided into six groups equally, and group I -V were vaccinated with IBD live virus vaccine on the 21 th and 35th day, respectively. From 14th to 21th day, group I - Ⅲ were added with 1%, 0.5% of Qishen ultrafine powder and 2% of Qishan powder in basel diet, respectively, group IV was given Yupingfeng oral liquid and group VI was as a control group without vaccination. Be- fore the expedment (14-day-old chickens as DO ) and 7 ( D7 ), 14 ( D14 ), 21 ( D21 ), 28 ( D26 ), 35 ( D36 ), 42 ( D42 ) days after the experiment, the dynamic change of serum IBD specific antibody was determined, respectively. On D7, D21 and D36, the dynamic change of peripheral T lymphocyte proliferation and IL-2 in serum were determined, respectively. The weight change was also observed. [Results] Compared with the immune control group, the immune effects of IBD vaccine of each administration group were significantly improved, and there was no significant difference between each other. [ Condusion] Qishen ultrafine powder could increase immune function of chickens at lower dosage.展开更多

[Method] The wood powder-chicken manure mixture was respectively composted by three kinds of white-rot fungi, the weight of lignin, cellulose, protein, fat, ash and crude polysaccharide as well as the mycelial growth was determined during this process. [ Result] The mixture was better composted with white-rot fungi than the control. The best effect was achieved in P. ostreatus composting group. In this group, the rate of weight reduction, lignin degradation and cellulose degradation were respectively 15.68% (6.79 times as great as that of the control group), 39.92% (6.54 times as great as that of the control group) and 32.26% (2.77 times as great as that of the control group). The weight of protein and fat were increased by 31.68% and 146.58%, respectively. The content of crude polysaccharide was 2.43%. No crude polysaccharide was detected, and the weight of protein and fat decreased by 21.96% and 70.99%, respectively. [ Conclusion] It is feasible to compost livestock and poultry manure with white-rot fungi.展开更多

For this purpose, fresh and frozen MDCM samples were used for preparing the oil/water (O/W) model emulsion systems, pH values of slurries and emulsions, emulsion capacity (EC), stability (ES) and viscosity (EV) of the prepared model system emulsions were analyzed. Protein, fat, ash, dry matter contents and pH value of MDCM were 14.85, 14.93, 0.99, 30.45% and 6.7, respectively. It was found that the pith powder addition significantly (P 〈 0.01) decreased the pH values of slurries. On the other hand, the effect of pith powder addition on pH values of emulsions was insignificant (P 〉 0.01). The highest EC value was reached when 1% of pith powder added. ES values of the emulsions reached a maximum level at 1.5% pith powder level. Fresh MDCM emulsions had higher EV values than did frozen MDCM emulsions at 10, 20, 50 rpm.展开更多
