Reflections on Conducting Kindergarten Language Education Activities Based on Children’s Literature

In early childhood education,language education is a crucial component,yet in kindergarten teaching,there often exists issues such as“emphasis on knowledge and neglect of practice.”To address this problem,teachers need to incorporate children’s literature in a reasonable manner to create a conducive environment for language education for young children.This article analyzes and discusses the significance of integrating children’s literature into kindergarten language education activities,and proposes strategies for addressing the current issues in kindergarten language education activities and conducting them based on children’s literature.

Research on the Influence of Family Education on Children’s Behavioral Habits

Under the background of the all-round deepening of quality education,the cultivation of comprehensive quality has become the main theme of contemporary education reform.Good behavior and habits are of great significance to children’s future learning,growth,and development.Through literature review and other methods,this paper analyzes the current situation of children’s family education and the influence of family education on the cultivation of children’s behavioral habits and provides some strategies for cultivating children’s good behavioral habits in family education.

A Study of Health Prescribing for Children with Tourette’s Disorders in Children’s Health Education Specialty Care Clinics

Objective:This study designs and implements the health prescription of children’s health education specialized nursing clinic based on the physical and mental characteristics of children with Tourette’s syndrome.Methods:Applying the evidence-based nursing model and nursing intervention theory based on the survey research by searching China Knowledge Network,Wanfang Database and Wipro Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database,the study collected the literature on the health prescription intervention research in children’s Tourette’s disorders health education in children’s health education of specialized nursing outpatient clinic for review and combined with the specialty characteristics to formulate“Children’s Tourette’s Disorder Health Education Prescription.”Results:Tourette’s syndrome in children is a common pediatric neurological disorder,mainly manifested as involuntary,rapid and repeated muscle twitching and vocal tics,which brings serious psychological pressure and life disturbance to the affected children.Conclusion:For children with Tourette’s syndrome,healthcare professionals should give enough care and understanding to the children and their parents,provide timely and effective health education to them,help them improve their bad behavioral habits,establish correct cognitive attitudes,enhance self-confidence,improve patient compliance,reduce the frequency of recurrence,reduce the incidence of complications and promote children’s physical and mental health development.

Research on the Teaching Optimization Path in Children’s Creative Art Curriculum Under the Perspective of“Sanquan Education”

Children’s creative art curriculum is a professional course supported by art materials and techniques and facilitated through creative activities,aiming at cultivating students’ability to organize creative art activities using various art materials and techniques.In light of the evolving focus in China’s colleges and universities from“what to know”to“how to apply,”the pivotal question for educators is how to maximize the value of children’s creative art curriculum.Based on this,this article takes“Sanquan education”as the starting point,combines factual and theoretical arguments,and analyzes the teaching optimization path of children’s creative art curriculum under the perspective of Sanquan education,to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching.

A Study of the Effects of Family Precepts,Rules and Ethics on Children’s Education During the Tang Dynasty

From the perspectives of the prosperity of the Sui and Tang dynasties,the rise and fall of the aristocrats and the prevalence of the imperial examination,this paper studies the impact of family precepts,rules,and ethics on children’s education.I believe that an important feature of family precepts in the Tang Dynasty was the development of the cultural tradition of poetry and literature study within the family,which promoted virtues like loyalty,filial piety,diligence,frugality and modesty and had a profound influence on future generations.The rise and fall of Tang Dynasty families was closely related to family precepts,rules,ethics,and learning.Famous and respectable families often regarded these traits as important means to maintain the family’s status,which objectively promoted the development of family scholarship and the importance of children’s education in the Tang Dynasty.The concept of learning as a“carry-on treasure”has become a common belief among scholars and has played a positive role in educating Chinese society,enriching our culture,and keeping society in order.

How do Metafictive Fictional Science Picturebooks Introduce Natural Science Knowledge to Children?——Wolves and The Magic School Bus:Inside a Hurricane

This paper explores metafiction’s role in fictional science picturebooks and its resolution of the contradictions between fictional stories and scientific knowledge in existing research by analysing two children’s picturebooks,Wolves(Gravett,2015)and The Magic School Bus(Cole,1995).The paper first identifies both books as metafictive science picturebooks by analysing their content.Secondly,the author analyses the structure of the two picturebooks and exposes that they both have two narrative lines as the composite structure:science knowledge and fictional stories.Thirdly,the article discusses the metafictive elements in Wolves and The Magic School Bus from the content perspectives,which are relevant to“reality”,in order to evaluate how metafiction enhances fictional science picturebooks in supporting children’s learning of science,conveying knowledge to children,and avoiding children’s misunderstanding of fiction and scientific information.

Conceptions of Childhood and the Educational Rights of the Child

Formulations of children＇s rights rest on assumptions about the nature of childhood yet conceptions of childhood are not stable across time and space. Such conceptions can be understood as placing different emphases among three different factors： the child as subservient to parents and ancestors （Child 1）, as a young person requiring special protection and having characteristics distinct from adults （Child 2） and as a novice （Child 3）. Different social arrangements place relatively different emphases on these three factors in their overall conceptions of childhood. Adopting the distinction between Will and Interest rights （Archard 2002）, the paper considers how an emphasis on Child 1, 2 or 3 presupposes and demands a distinctive consideration of children＇s rights. The argument concludes with a reflection on how children＇s rights might be construed if the nature of adulthood is problematised alongside that of childhood. In this case, capabilities （as means to enable functionings） may prove a more fruitful concept than rights （as actual or possible existential conditions）.

Educating Children in the Family Created in the Second Marriage in Today＇s Lithuania

Since the end of the twenty-first century, relationships in the family have been rapidly changing in Lithuania. The changes correspond to changes in the birth-rate. The former model of birth-rate which was characterized by the prevalence of legitimate children, child-bearing at a younger age and which ensured a change of generations, it was replaced by a new model characterized by having illegitimate children, the postponement of child-bearing, and low birth-rate, which does not ensure a change of generations. Although love relationships, marriage, and children are still considered to be the recognized values, these changes have affected the conception of child＇s education in the family and the perception of child as a value. It is therefore relevant to evaluate future spouses＇ preparation for a modern marriage and to constantly improve it. Such preparation is usually understood as young people＇s readiness far their first marriage. Readiness for the second marriage and child＇s education in the second family are no less important though still insufficiently explored empirically and theoretically generalized. This paper explores attitudes to child＇s education in the second marriage. The research was conducted inquiring people who wanted to create a family or establish long-term relationships. They were members of the online dating site ＂Harmonious Couple＂.

The '94 World Children's Art Festival

The World Children's Art Festival will be held in Shanghai from July 22 to 28 this year.The event will be sponsored by the China Welfare Institute,the Shanghai Association for Friendship with For-eign Countries and the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation.The theme will be"Peace,Friendship and the Future,"and children's literary and art groups from across the world are welcome to take part.Participants can range between eight and 17 in age.Music and dance will be the main activities,and all performances must be national in character.

Inclusive Methods in Art Classroom for Students with Autism in China

Cultivating professional knowledge and developing specific inclusive training has always been important for educators in China.Within the context of special art education in China,art educators are supposed to adjust the instruction effectively for students with a variety of disabilities.This qualitative study sought to gain insight of the strategies of modifying and adapting art instruction for children with autism.Data were collected and analyzed by comparative method through interviews with three art educators.During the interview,three participants addressed strategies they use when working with autistic students in art classroom and proved the ways to modify and adapt art instruction to enhance autistic children’s pedagogical skills.Art teachers can also identify students’preferred art materials to engage autistic students in learning art.Beyond helping my educational practice,this study could further serve as an impetus to assist other educators in China thus expand teachers’professional knowledge in teaching children with special needs.

Children in Disaster Risk Reduction in Portugal: Policies,Education,and (Non) Participation

International agencies and scientific research have been calling for the inclusion of children in disaster preparedness and risk reduction, to hear their voices in order to address their specific needs and vulnerabilities and harness their capabilities in terms of building community resilience. This article assesses the roles ascribed to children in policy and education for disaster risk reduction in Portugal. The approach is based on a scoping methodology that encompasses document analysis and interviews with national and local stakeholders and policymakers in the disaster risk reduction field. The research is carried out within the scope of a European funded project, CUIDAR Cultures of Disaster Resilience among Children and Young People. More specifically, the article provides an overview of the discourses on the roles ascribed to children in urban disaster risk reduction(DRR). The authors maintain that although children are often taken as a target group in urban disaster prevention and management, they are seldom considered in terms of active participation in disaster risk reduction programs in the Portuguese context. Nevertheless, our analysis shows that there is a growing awareness of the relevance of active participation by children in order to create successful DRR.

促进还是阻碍:全球视域下信息技术早期教育应用的SWOT分析及对策

信息技术已经改变了人类的学习、工作、生活、娱乐方式。为了全面、深刻地认识信息技术应用对早期教育的影响,本研究通过文献研究、引文追溯法,选取SSCI、CSSCI期刊中的相关文献,再通过SWOT分析法分析信息技术早期教育应用的优势、劣势、机会、威胁。结果表明信息技术能拓展早期教育时空、提升人类早期教育与儿童学习能效、优化早期教育环境、丰富早期教育内容与手段等,但技术本质上是负载价值的相对中性,技术应用的成败与利弊取决于人,因此信息技术无法取代人在早期教育中的作用与地位。电视、电影、动画片及其他视频、电子游戏、移动设备、音频、电子书、社交媒体等各种信息技术都各有所长,在认知、社会、情感、身体发展、行为习惯等领域均对儿童发展有积极影响,且影响各有差异。同时,各种信息技术也有可能给儿童发展的上述领域带来严重威胁与消极影响,例如媒体或游戏上瘾、不健康媒体内容(包括暴力、烟酒毒、色情与性等)、网络欺凌、数字脚印、隐私及其他网络安全隐患、大脑损伤、骨骼疼痛、视力受损、发育迟缓、运动能力低下、营养失衡、肥胖、睡眠问题、不健康体像、心理问题、阅读能力削弱、社会认知障碍、社会交往能力低等。根据SWOT分析的结果,信息技术应用于早期教育时应采取微观技术性对策与宏观社会性对策。微观技术性对策包括优势—机会策略、劣势—机会策略、优势—威胁策略、劣势—威胁策略等四种基本策略,其执行需要处理好系统分析、平衡管控、应用创新等三个环节,且需理清它们之间的相互关系;宏观社会性对策包括构建智慧早期教育新理论体系、发展儿童文化创意产业、健全并严格执行涉及儿童信息安全与健康的相关法规、建立能有效保护儿童的信息环境监控工作机制。信息技术对早期教育的影响是有条件的,对儿童发展既可能起促进作用也可能起阻碍作用,应把信息技术当作一种工具,而不是依靠信息技术来解决儿童发展的问题。

具身认知理论视角下的儿童艺术教育

具身认知科学的核心在于身体体验,强调通过身体与环境的互动促进认知的发展,这与儿童身心发展规律相契合。在儿童艺术教育中,身体发挥着重要作用,是感受美之先、欣赏美之重、表现美之本、创造美之基。但当下儿童艺术教育中仍存在着具身困难,如教师具身理论之困、艺术课程具身化之难、环境创设具身化之艰。为此,在具身认知理论视角下,教师应树立解放儿童身体的意识、设置具身化的艺术课程模式、创设多元的体验性环境,促进儿童艺术潜能的发展。
