The results showed that the natural wetland and agricultural land tended to decrease, while the saltern, maricultural areas and construction land increased apparently. The overall landscape shape tended to develop in simplification and regulation and with the development of population and social economy, human’s intervention to the landscape was getting improved.展开更多

In 2015, the pilot city of sponge city's construction has begun to take shape with the push of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Peoples' Republic of China, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Water Resources. For the pilot cities, they should strengthen the performance evaluation process and play the leading role of the nation demonstration. Taking the aspects of sponge city project's management, runoff volume control into consideration, sponge city initially formed a set of scientific and objective evaluation index which is in order to reflect the effectiveness of Gui-An New Area's construction.What's more, through analyzing the sponge city's deficiency of the performance evaluation, I also carry out the work that need to put forward suggestions.展开更多

Speeding up the promotion of new energy vehicles is an important measure to optimize the energy structure,promote energy conservation and emission reduction,and develop the economy sustainability.The research uses a q...Speeding up the promotion of new energy vehicles is an important measure to optimize the energy structure,promote energy conservation and emission reduction,and develop the economy sustainability.The research uses a questionnaire survey to analyze the residents’willingness to purchase new energy vehicles in Jinan Gty of China,and utilizes the binomial logistic regression model and Global Moran's I to explain the impact of three factors(including responden ts'personal characteristics and subjective cognition,products,and social environment)on the purchase willingness of new energy vehicles.According to the survey,75.12%of the responden ts consider buying new energy vehicles in the future,but only 11.66%of the respondents know new energy vehicles well.It can be seen that the respondents in Jinan City generally have an insufficient understanding of new energy vehicles.It may lead to a decline in residents’trust in new energy vehicles,which will in turm affect their purchase willingness.Based on the survey,we find that women who live far from the city center enjoy high incomes and have a low-carbon awareness,generally exhibit a higher willingness to purchase new energy vehicles.Spatial distribution of the purchase willingness has certain aggregation characteristics,showing a positive spatial correlation pattern.Purchase willingness has a certain positive diffusion effect in space,and areas with a higher purchase willingness have a positive driving effect on their surrounding regions.Spatial distribution of the purchase willingness can be used as one of the breakthroughs in promoting new energy vehicles.In addition,safety,price,after-sales service,and infrastruicture of new energy vehicles are important determinants of people's purchase willingness.Among the types of subsidies,financial subsidy is most effective on the residents’purchase wilingness.Our research provides an impor tant information for the promotion of new energy vehicles in the region.展开更多

This paper compares two cases:It relates to the development of new urban sub-centres in China,and the relationship of these sub-centres to‘Network City’theory.As cities move towards more polycentric systems,the case...This paper compares two cases:It relates to the development of new urban sub-centres in China,and the relationship of these sub-centres to‘Network City’theory.As cities move towards more polycentric systems,the case of Potsdamer Platz Berlin,compared to Zhenru Sub-Centre in Shanghai,is discussed.Both are transport-oriented developments promoting mixed-use density and transport-oriented development.According to the documentation by Shanghai municipality,this new urban centre,which is currently in its planning phase,is supposed to become a‘sustainable sub-centre for a growing metropolis.’The author,who has intimate knowledge of the Berlin case,was asked to advice on the Chinese project,based on the Potsdamer Platz experience.After some hesitation,a series of careful recommendations were formulated for the design and development of the Zhenru Sub-Centre,knowing that it is rather difficult to translate from one case to the other.The conclusion includes five recommendations for the urban design of such sub-centres,to ensure a delivery of economical,social and environmental sustainable outcomes.展开更多

Events can bring important impetus to urban development.In addition to hardware investments,such as infrastructure,events also have important potential in the development of knowledge cities.Nanjing is a typical city ...Events can bring important impetus to urban development.In addition to hardware investments,such as infrastructure,events also have important potential in the development of knowledge cities.Nanjing is a typical city where China’s knowledge industry is rapidly growing.Since the end of the last century,Nanjing has been promoting new district development on the city’s periphery and has hosted a series of events,including the 10th National Games in 2005 and the 2nd Youth Olympic Games in 2014.In this process,the city government also hopes to explore the potential of the knowledge economy and is committed to providing a new direction for urban development.This work reviews the history of Nanjing’s knowledge city development from two different dimensions(land development and knowledge development)and summarises the related achievements and lessons in different periods.The authors aim to identify the diverse effects of events in urban social and economic development based on the analysis of the differences in governance structure between land development and knowledge development.This work contributes to the literature on events and provides insights into the potential uses of events as a mechanism for knowledge-driven urban development.展开更多
