Research and Development Procedures of Chinese Herbal-medicine Skin Care Products with Chinese Characteristics

As far as Chinese herbal medicine resources are concerned,China is one of the countries with the richest biodiversity in the world.As for the future development direction of Chinese skin care products,the development of special Chinese herbal skin care products is an important issue.The technical route for the research and development(R&D)of Chinese herbal-medicine skin care products should focus on“combining ancient and modern,combining Chinese and Western”,that is to say combining the ancient knowledge and wisdom with modern science and technology,and combining Chinese traditional therapy with western pharmacology.This article will elaborate the five stages of developing innovative Chinese herbal skin care products:pondering and thinking stage;extraction and purification stage;experimental evaluation stage;quality index establishment stage;product development stage.The key points of these five stages can provide a reference for the cosmetics R&D personnel.This project will be beneficial to the development of Chinese herbal-medicine skin care products and the formulation of an overall effective development strategy,which is helpful to actively respond to new challenges and continuously improve product competitiveness,so as to vigorously build a world-renowned high-end cosmetic brand in China,and strive to cultivate a world-class cosmetics talent team.

Impact of systems modelling on agronomic research and adoption of new practices in smallholder agriculture

An analysis of the impact of simulation modelling in three diverse crop-livestock improvement projects in Agricultural Research for Development（AR4D） reveals benefits across a range of aspects including identification of objectives, design and implementation of experimental programs, effectiveness of participatory research with smallholder farmers, implementation of system change and scaling-out of results.In planning change, farmers must consider complex interactions within both biophysical and socioeconomic aspects of their crop and animal production activities.For this, whole-farm models that include household models of food, workload and financial requirements have the most utility and impact.The analysis also proposes improvements in design and implementation of AR4 D projects to improve the utility of simulation modelling for securing positive agronomic and livestock outcomes and lasting legacies.

Zhang Weishe n:A Pion eer in the Developme nt and In dustrial Production of Penicillin in New China

The research and development of penicillin started with dificulty before 1949 and achieved certain results.In 1951,after the founding of the People’ s Republic of China,Zhang Weishen,as the only Chinese scientist who had been trained and worked in a penicillin research and development center in the United States for many years,overcame many difficulties and returned to China.In 1953,with the efforts of Zhang Weishen and his colleagues,China realized the industrialized production of penicillin,alleviating the urgent needs of the masses.Antibiotics has also become the first discipline to achieve major scientific and technological achievements after the founding of the New China.In the mid-1950s,the technical breakthrough in the localization of lactose substitutes marked the localization of the raw materials of the penicillin-producing culture medium,which paved the way for the industrialized production of penicillin with Chinese characteristics.Antibiotics have become one of the most widely used and affordable drugs for hundreds of millions of patients in China,and China has since ended the humiliating history of the "Sick Man of East Asia".

Empirical Research on the Influence of Export Market Diversification on Total Factor Productivity: Based on the Perspective of Trade Protection

This paper mainly explores the impact of export market diversification as an important measure to deal with trade friction on firms total factor productivity.Firstly,this article focuses on the theoretical analysis of the impact mechanism,including risk diversification,reversal effect and spillover effect.Based on the sample data of Chinese manufacturing export enterprises from 2000 to 2007,this paper conducts an empirical test on the relationship between export market diversification and total factor productivity.The result indicates that export market diversification has a significant positive effect on the total factor productivity of enterprises.After considering the endogenous problem,by controlling the fixed effects,using the two-stage least square method and changing the duration of the sample for robustness analysis,the results are still consistent.In addition,the role of diversification policy in total factor productivity presents heterogeneous characteristics in terms of different types of enterprise ownership,export intensity,industry competition,trade methods,and the development degree of exporting market.Accordingly,this paper puts forward corresponding policy recommendations.

Research on Key Techniques of Collaborative Design System

The development of product is a complex process. Collaboration is necessary to this process to support multi-function teams’ participation in this process at the same time. Effective task decomposition is the prerequisite of collaborative design and constraint network was used to express the relationship among design participants. In order to make the coupling collaborative design go smoothly, a constraint satisfaction model based on dynamic constraint is put forward. An integrated-based conflict resolution model is advanced to resolve the complex conflict during the process of collaborative design.

The role of R&D and economic policy uncertainty in Sri Lanka’s economic growth

In this paper,we assess the role of investment in research and development(R&D)and economic policy uncertainty(EPU)in Sri Lanka’s economic growth experience.We do this by first determining which endogenous growth theories best explain the evolution of total factor productivity(TFP)in the country.Using historical time series data(1980–2018),we find that semi-endogenous growth theories best explain the evolution of TFP in Sri Lanka.This evidence suggests that R&D is critical to the country’s TFP expansion.We find that,through R&D,EPU has a crucial detrimental impact on TFP growth,although it is short-lived.Our findings are robust and have important implications for R&D investment and for moderating EPU.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF BIOLOGICAL PRODUCTS IN CHINA

There are six large production institutes of bio-logicals in China. The Kunming Institute of Medical Biology is the largest primate center, specializing in the production of live poliomyelitis vaccine and recently, of live hepatitis vaccine as well. All these institutes have research laboratories of their own which are engaged in the improvement of existing products and development of new ones. The National Institute for Control of Phamaceutical and Biological Products, created in 1951, is responsible for the direction of laboratories located in each production institute, for the testing of natively produced as well as imported biological products and for the preparation and issuing of national standards. Three additional bodies managed directly by the Ministry of Public Health are: Office for the Review of Drugs (including biologicals), Committee for Standardization of Biological Products and Office for Supervision of Drugs. These together consistiute the regulatory system in China.

Demonstration Analysis of Relationship Between R&D Investment and GDP

To reveal the quantitative relationship between research and development (R&D) investment and gross domestic product (GDP) in China, we have demonstrated and analyzed the relationship between R&D investment and science and technology (S&T) progress, and based on a mount of S&T statistical data, have proceeded demonstration research of the relationship between R&D investment and GDP in China with Solow and vector auto regression (VAR) models. Cubic curve fitting and cross-correlation analysis of them with SPSS have shown that there is a strong synchronic relationship between R&D investment and GDP.

Impact of Electricity Shortages on Productivity: Evidence from Manufacturing Industries

Electricity shortages present a significant constraint on manufacturers,who rely on electricity as an important input into production.In China,electricity supply has been growing rapidly.However,the rapid industrialization sometimes makes the power supply still unable to meet the demand.Using a survey of 1673 Chinese manufacturing firms,this paper explores how firms response to electricity shortages and its impact on productivity.We find that self-generation of electricity and investment in Research and Development(R&D)have significant positive relationships with electricity shortages.Further investigations reveal that self-generation is the most common way to deal with electricity shortages.However,it aggravates productivity loss.Though investment in Research and Development can promote productivity,it cannot offset the negative impact of electricity shortages on productivity.Analyses on subsamples show heterogeneity in the impacts of electricity shortages across firms.In particular,large firms are more inclined to invest in R&D than small and medium-sized firms are.They are also the one who suffer significant productivity loss due to self-generation of electricity.Though it is possible for medium-sized firms to reduce productivity loss through R&D,they are not likely to invest in R&D as a response to electricity shortages.This study illustrates that firms can hardly have effective solutions to electricity shortages,and policy makers should take great efforts to increase electricity supply.

The Chinese Automobile Market and the Strategies of European, American, Japanese, Korean and Chinese Auto Makers

This paper compares and analyzes the changes in the Chinese automobile market in recent years as well as the competition strategy of top makers of European, American, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese automobiles. In particular, analysis is carried out on the cause of the rapid growth of European, American, and Korean makers in the passenger vehicle market and the slow growth of Japanese makers, especially, Toyota, Honda, and Chinese makers. In order to adapt to the environmental change in the Chinese automobile market, European and American makers like Volkwagen （VW） and General Motors （GM） have developed full model line-up strategies focusing on compact cars while utilizing the advantages of the annual production of their full model line-up and giving priority to local part procurement. What＇s more, Korea＇s Hyundai has converted its car model strategy from mid-sized cars into compact cars in accordance with the changes in the Chinese market. Through successful product development adjusting to local needs, Hyundai has firmly entrenched its brand name. For Honda and Toyota, the slow conversion from mid-sized cars to compact cars and the inability to decrease costs due to the slow development of local part procurement are the causes of their delayed development in the Chinese market.

数字经济发展如何影响碳生产率?

数字经济发展逐渐成为实现双碳目标的重要途径。基于2011—2020年省级面板数据,建立指标评价体系对数字经济发展水平和碳生产率进行测度,运用中介效用模型、空间面板模型、门槛模型揭示数字经济发展对碳生产率的影响。研究发现:(1)数字经济发展对碳生产率有显著促进作用且存在区域异质性;(2)研发强度和环境规制在数字经济对碳生产率的传导机制中具有明显的中介作用;(3)数字经济促进碳生产率提高的同时也存在空间溢出效应;(4)数字经济对碳生产率的正向促进作用因消费结构水平的不同而存在门槛效应,两者间的关系会随着消费结构水平高低变动而发生变化。研究结论可为精准评估数字经济的减排效应、加速释放数字经济时代的碳生产潜力、统筹制定差异化的数字赋能绿色低碳转型战略提供经验证据和政策启示。

东北三省“专精特新”企业研发创新对企业高质量发展的影响研究

基于产品数字孪生体的智能制造价值链协同研发框架构建

新一代信息技术环境下制造企业研发涉及更多价值主体,需要新技术推进系统集成创新和快速迭代,为全价值链的协同研发提供支持。为应对当前智能制造价值链延伸带来的研发决策离散问题,从全局角度出发,提出基于产品数字孪生体的智能制造价值链协同研发的理念。首先在界定产品数字孪生体和智能制造价值链的内涵基础上,推演基于产品数字孪生体的智能制造价值链的逻辑机制,包括形成研发闭环、实现功能重塑。其次,将产品数字孪生体与智能制造价值链相结合,借助数字孪生体的强大整合能力,基于动态采集、模型互操作、虚实空间双向感知的系统研发要求,构建具有互联、互操作、互感知特性的智能制造价值链协同研发框架。最后,从跨时空并行协同、快速迭代、研发生态3个角度,打造基于产品数字孪生体的智能制造价值链协同研发应用场景,使分布于不同时空的智能制造各价值链主体并行协同完成产品研发,以期为智能制造企业全价值链协同研发提供参考。

“十三五”时期我国水产品流通与加工科技创新进展和展望

水产食品对全球粮食安全和膳食营养意义重大,据统计,2020年全球渔业和水产养殖总产量创历史新高,达到2.14亿t,包括1.78亿t水生动物和3600万t藻类,其中有超过1.57亿t水生动物直接供人食用,相当于人均每年供应约20.2kg,提供了约17%的动物蛋白^([1])。我国是人口大国,改善国民膳食结构,提升全民营养健康水平,是关系国计民生的重大战略问题。开辟以水域为基础生产优质蛋白,构建覆盖内陆水域和海洋的蓝色粮仓,是发展我国现代渔业的迫切需求,也是实现优质蛋白持续高效供给的重要载体^([2])。
