Study on Spatial Structure of Traditional Villages from the Perspective of Clanism

"China's deep-rooted family culture and the resulting family spirit is one of the basic characteristics of Chinese society that differs from western society," said by Chinese sociologist Fei Xiaotong. German sociologist Max Weber defi nes Chinese society as "family structure society"[1]. And sociologist Fei Zhengqing believes that the villages in China are organized by families. In sociological studies, the traditional villages are divided into three types: single-clan villages with only one dominating family, main-clan villages which are mainly composed of several families, and multi-clan villages where some coequal families live together[2]. The authors believe that traditional villages are organized social communities with kinship as a link. They are products of the family system. There is a close connection between a village's family composition and its space construction. Single-clan village is an introverted spatial organization mode entirely based on kinship, ancestral hall is located in the center and the whole spatial structure grows toward it. Main-clan village is a decentralized family aggregate based on the ties of blood as well as region. And the organization of its village space depends on temples and pavilions where families enshrine and worship ancestors and gods. It owns obvious features of collage and collaboration. M ulticlan village is a collaborative and extroverted complex spatial system led by relationship of colleagues, where large public buildings are taken as the core to organize commercial activities. Its form is similar to the form of small towns. Taking sociological term "family" as the starting point and cases of national historic cultural villages including Hong Village, Zhuge Village, Zoumatang Village, Suzhuang Village and Guoyu Village into further study, this article analyses the correlation between kinship composition and spatial form of villages, tries to reveal the essential structure of traditional space of villages and to provide a new perspective on spatial study as well as basis for preservation of traditional villages.

Application of clan member signal method in structural damage detection

It is well known that in most cases, a reference is necessary for structural health diagnosis, and it is very difficult to obtain such a reference for a given structure. In this paper, a clan member signal method （CMSM） is proposed for use in structures consisting of groups （or clans） that have the same geometry, i.e., the same cross section and length, and identical boundary conditions. It is expected that signals measured on any undamaged member in a clan after an event could be used as a reference for any other members in the clan. To verify the applicability of the proposed method, a steel truss model is tested and the results show that the CMSM is very effective in detecting local damage in structures composed of identical slender members.

The power of informal institutions:The impact of clan culture on the depression of the elderly in rural China

Exploration of ways to improve the subjective welfare of residents is an important area of current academic research.Using data from the China Family Panel Studies survey conducted in 2010,this paper investigated the impact of clan culture on the mental health of elderly people in rural China.The results demonstrated that clan culture can significantly decrease the depression score of the rural elderly.Further,there was no gender difference with respect to the impact of clan culture on the depression score of the elderly.At the same time,the positive effects of clan culture on the depression score of the elderly have gradually weakened with economic development.Exploration of the mechanisms involved indicated that in areas with stronger clan culture,older people receive more social support.This study enriches our understanding of the impact of informal institutions on the welfare of rural residents.At the same time,it can also provide a certain decisionmaking reference for the government to formulate relative poverty relief strategies in a new stage of poverty alleviation.

Solving Linear Systems via Composition of their Clans

The decomposition technique for linear system solution is proposed. This technique may be combined with any known method of linear system solution. An essential acceleration of computations is obtained. Methods of linear system solution depend on the set of numbers used. For integer and especially for natural numbers all the known methods are hard enough. In this case the decomposition technique described allows the exponential acceleration of computations.

Correlation between Ancestral Temple Worship Sacrifice Culture and Clan Etiquettes in Traditional Settlements of Jiangxi Province

To explore the correlation between ancestor temple sacrifice culture and clan etiquettes in traditional settlements of Jiangxi Province, this paper analyzed origination and development of ancestor temple, focused on the patriarchal thought that respects ancestors and unifies the clan, the relationship between clan power and political power, sacrifice and patriarchy. The research found that the plain clan etiquettes were significant for unifying the clansmen, inheriting historical context, and stabilizing primarylevel organizations in rural areas.

The Application of CLAN on Shared and Unique Words Between Leveled Storybooks

The present study aimed to investigate the application of the CLAN （Computerized Language Analysis） program in the CHILDES （Child Language Data Exchange System） on shared and unique words between storybooks. Sixty sixth-grade Chinese-speaking children at an elementary school in Taipei City were recruited. Forty-four three-level of storybooks from Kizclub were collected and analyzed. Fifteen minutes reading instruction was followed by the use of CLAN on storybooks for 25 minutes. Children were given written and spoken vocabulary tests after each cluster of storybook reading period. There were three main findings of the study. First, young EFL （English as a Foreign Language） learners＇ word learning was enhanced through multiple exposures to the shared and unique words from the storybooks. Second, word instruction in isolation prompted written and spoken word learning beyond word instruction in context and repeated reading. Third, the results had pedagogical implications on the value and feasibility of language teaching with storybooks in promoting EFL students＇ word learning by using CLAN, and the limitations of the study were provided.

Classification and Spatial Pattern of Township Development in Liaoning Province, China

The classification of township development types is an urgent problem that requires solution to enable the township to choose an appropriate development path.Using a township development classification method,we determine the township development types and their spatial patterns in Liaoning Province,China.The results showed that the patterns of township development types based on their general advantages had significant spatial differentiations.The planting,and livestock and poultry breeding township development types based on general advantages were mainly distributed across the central plain of Liaoning Province,China,and also concentrated in Dandong City−Dalian City along Yellow Sea coast,and in the northwest of Chaoyang City.The business and tourism,industry and mining,and residence township development types based on general advantages were distributed mainly along the Shenyang–Dalian Economic Belt in the central and southern Liaoning Province.The ecology township development type based on general advantages was mainly distributed in the eastern and western Liaoning Province to maintain regional ecological security.Township development types based on non-advantages were sporadically distributed in the middle and western Liaoning Province.Based on the classification and spatial patterns,the differences between the distribution of twonship development types and the plan for the major functional areas of Liaoning Province were proposed which could provide the basis for the optimization of the major functional areas.

Path of Rural Vitalization Based on Coupling Perspective of Township Construction and Resource Environment in Jiangsu Province,China

Recently,the field of rural vitalization has received extensive research attention.However,only few studies have proposed an approach to rural vitalization from the coupling perspective of township construction and the resource environment.Taking Jiangsu Province of China as the study area,we constructed index systems of township construction function types and resource environments.Based on 875 township study units in Jiangsu,we characterized the township construction function type and resource environment and analyzed the dynamic process of their coupling from 2005 to 2017.The results are as follows:1)the townships of planting and breeding types in Jiangsu were mainly distributed in northern and central Jiangsu;the townships of business travel,industry,and integrated types were mainly distributed in southern Jiangsu;and the townships of ecological type were irregularly distributed throughout Jiangsu.2)Resource environment factors and township construction function types in Jiangsu clustered based on their location with some overlap.3)Spatial variability in the degree of coupling level between township construction and the resource environment in Jiangsu was not apparent,and low coupling levels accounted for most of the study units.The sum of the number of medium and high coupling townships in southern,central,and northern Jiangsu was roughly equal,and the coupling level between township construction and the resource environment in southern Jiangsu evolved remained unchanged,whereas that in the central and northern Jiangsu became imbalanced.4)In Jiangsu,township construction was mainly constrained by water resources,and the constraint parameters gradually increase.Large variability in resource environment constraint was observed in northern,central,and southern Jiangsu for different township construction function types.Based on these findings,we proposed the implementation of targeted rural vitalization strategies.

Preliminary Study on Forest Fire Prevention and Extinguishing in Townships in the Southern Mountainous Areas of Zhejiang Province:A Case Study of Lishui

Forest fires seriously threaten forestry resources and the life and property safety of people in mountainous areas of Lishui City. In this paper, a fire prevention concept with refined forecast and early warning of forest fire danger weather ratings in townships as the starting point, satellite real-time observation of fire spots, monitoring of the Internet of Things and other high-tech products as an implementation means, and strengthening forest fire prevention equipment and personnel in townships as a guarantee was established. The command system for rapid emergency response by cities, counties and townships should be improved. During the forest fire prevention period, fire sources should be strictly controlled, and the basic principles of forest fire fighting in townships should be implemented into the actual fire prevention and fire fighting work to eliminate forest fires in time at the initial stage and before the disaster.

中国式现代化背景下的中国乡镇实践与发展路径探析

党的二十大报告指出,我国已经成功推进和拓展了中国式现代化。乡镇作为中国城镇体系中最基本的地域综合体,其发展逐渐以满足人民生活为立足点,在中国现代化进程中展开了深刻的实践。中国式现代化的发展目标给全面推进中国乡镇发展提出了新要求和新挑战,全力推进乡镇的中国式现代化发展,必须认清中国乡镇在新时代发展中的地位,深入分析中国乡镇在整个现代化进程中的发展特征和现实基础,以探寻乡镇实现现代化发展的新路径。基于此,文章提出乡镇现代化是推进中国式现代化的基础组成,乡镇是建设新型城镇化的重要载体,是促进城乡融合的重要支撑,是实现乡村振兴的战略引擎。进一步,文章从乡镇的历史发展和现实条件出发,论述了乡镇在经济活动发展区、人口流动集聚区、历史文化传承区和宜居生活典范区建设上具有坚实的基础。在经济发展上,近代以来乡镇经济活动功能已初具雏形,乡镇企业的兴起促进了乡镇工业的发展,继而推动乡镇承担更多的经济活动;在人口流动上,城—镇—乡之间的人口流动更加频繁,随着乡村振兴和镇的发展,乡镇对流动人口的吸引力不断增强,乡镇的人口集聚作用更加突出;在历史文化上,名镇、名村承载着不同历史时期的文化价值,从中国历史文化名镇到中国特色景观旅游名镇,体现出乡镇对历史文化的传承和特色景观的营造;在宜居生活上,建设美丽宜居乡镇是建设美丽中国的重要组成部分,乡镇在产业体系培育、基础设施建设、公共服务配套、生态环境治理上都取得了一定的成效。针对中国乡镇发展的现实基础,文章提出推动中国乡镇现代化发展的路径和举措。在坚持城镇化和农业农村现代化的基础上,要从“四高理念”出发做实中国乡镇现代化发展的基础,以扩大对外开放,实现高水平开放;以促进经济要素活力,助力高质量发展;以提升公共服务质量,打造高品质生活;以创新社会治理模式,探索高效能治理,以期为全面提升中国乡镇现代化发展质量、制定精准的乡镇发展政策提供决策参考。

宗族文化、特殊信任与企业寻租支出

本文利用世界银行的《中国投资环境调查》数据和城市族谱数据,考察宗族文化对企业寻租支出的影响。研究表明,地区宗族文化越浓厚,企业寻租支出越多,该结论在解决内生性问题、改变解释变量和被解释变量的度量方式后仍然稳健。进一步分析发现,宗族文化加深对自己人的特殊信任,有助于满足作为违法交易的寻租对信任、承诺和保密机制的要求;宗族文化的影响在不同的所有制、规模、区域和地方政府干预市场程度的企业样本中存在明显区别。本研究从传统文化的视角解释寻租可为反腐败工作提供参考。

Exploring a Typical Regional Model for Rural Industrial Revitalization:Using Shimen Township as a Case Study

Implementing the strategy of rural revitalization and embarking on the path of socialist rural revitalization with distinctive Chinese characteristics are essential steps in addressing existing gaps in agricultural and rural modernization.These steps aim to swiftly increase farmers’incomes,enhance agricultural production capabilities,foster high-quality rural economic development,and rectify issues related to uneven development.Revitalizing rural areas and alleviating poverty among the majority of farmers represent major decisions made by the state regarding the“three rural issues.”This paper conducts an analysis and discussion centered on Shimen Township in She County within the context of the agricultural and rural development revitalization strategy.The objective is to identify prevailing challenges and propose relevant solutions.

公众号赋能街镇治理的运行逻辑与机制建构——以上海市“美丽N镇”公众号为例

公众号赋能街镇治理既是一种治理模式的创新,亦是基层社会治理发展的一种崭新趋势。公众号赋能街镇治理的运行是技术逻辑、结构逻辑与认同逻辑的有机统一。近年来,作为国内较早提出全面推进城市数字化转型的一线城市,上海市持续探索公众号赋能街镇治理的创新模式,“美丽N镇”公众号正是街镇微信公众号赋能基层治理的典型代表。依照“技术-结构-认同”这样一种三维互动的逻辑框架,“美丽N镇”公众号以信息集散与配赋引导公众的受信模式和行为逻辑,以关系协调与双向互动实现系统性的规范、有序、合作,以组织动员与情感构建打造“治理共同体”。基于此,可以从顶层设计、内容呈现、双向互动、专业建设等维度,分别建构目标和方向精准化、效率和能级高质量、公众与政府良性互动、服务与队伍有效衔接的多维机制,从而助推公众号赋能街镇治理有效实现。

撤乡并镇后四川省乡镇卫生院医疗服务投入产出效率变化分析

目的:分析撤乡并镇后四川省乡镇卫生院医疗服务投入产出效率变化情况,为助力乡村医疗卫生体系健康发展提供参考依据。方法:以2018~2022年四川省5个样本市州48个区县为决策单元,采用BCC模型和Malmquist指数模型进行静态与动态效率分析。结果:2018~2022年样本市州乡镇卫生院机构数累计减少37.8%,院均床位数、职工人数、设备台数与医疗服务量累计增长率在49.8%~93.9%之间。医疗服务投入产出综合效率、技术效率和规模效率均值分别由2018年的0.800、0.843和0.950,变化为2022年的0.766、0.796和0.961。2018~2022年全要素生产率指数、技术进步指数和技术效率指均值分别为0.986、1.003和0.983。与2018年相比,2022年DEA无效区县数增加、减少和不变的市州数分别有2个、2个和1个。全要素生产率指数>1的区县数占比依次为成都62.5%、攀枝花40.0%、南充33.3%、阿坝23.1%和内江20.0%。结论:撤乡并镇后,四川省乡镇卫生院“小、散、弱”问题有效缓解,医疗服务投入产出规模效率有所提升;综合效率未见明显改善,技术效率下降是其主要原因;效率变化地区间差异明显。建议做好撤乡并镇改革“后半篇”文章,继续深化和拓展改革成果,以提升医疗技术水平和管理能力为关键点,区分不同地区共性与个性问题,多措并举推动乡镇卫生院量变成果转变为质变效果。

嵌入治理的激励与培养:乡镇人事结构再生产机制研究

乡镇人事结构是乡镇治理的深层基础。面对乡镇的一线治理场景,行政包干的人事整合机制具有社会激励与团队培养的效应,赋予乡镇人事结构以灵活性。而人事分流拓展了乡镇干部激励与培养的空间,且维系了人事结构的稳定性和公共性。乡镇人事结构再生产嵌入一线治理场景,实现了激励、培养与治理的统一,从而适应了乡镇治理的现实需要。乡镇机构改革须立足乡镇治理情境,在推进乡镇治理机制创新时注重发挥乡镇干部的主体性和能动性,优化乡镇人事结构,激发乡镇治理活力。
