However, t...For effective second language learning, the compatibility between the learners' learning preferences and teachers' instructional approaches in classroom learning activities is of crucial importance. However, there is some incongruity in between in the college EFL classroom in China, which has very much hindered students' language learning progress. Based on statistical survey and classroom observations, the paper examines the general differences in college students' learning preferences, presents some findings on the various conflicting situations, and discusses its implications for second language learning and teaching.展开更多
This article reports on a study of students' reticence in English as a Foreign Language(EFL)classrooms in Panxi Vocational College in Sichuan Province of China's Mainland.Forty-one students answered a 28-item ...This article reports on a study of students' reticence in English as a Foreign Language(EFL)classrooms in Panxi Vocational College in Sichuan Province of China's Mainland.Forty-one students answered a 28-item questionnaire.The students' reticence levels,general tendency of unwillingness-to-speak,and their learning behaviors were identified.Individual and social factors contributing to the reticence phenomenon in the vocational college's EFL classrooms were also determined.The results suggested that culture have strong influences on Chinese vocational college students'reticence.However,their habitual classroom behaviors that have been established for a long time should be taken into account in regard to their reticence.展开更多
全球网络的迅猛发展给教育信息化带来了新的变革,传统的教与学的方式也逐渐在改变。利用翻转课堂教学模式,培养大学生的自主学习能力,无疑是给学生提供了一种关爱和促进其学业成绩的新模式。文章采用问卷调查的形式,对312名大学生的父...全球网络的迅猛发展给教育信息化带来了新的变革,传统的教与学的方式也逐渐在改变。利用翻转课堂教学模式,培养大学生的自主学习能力,无疑是给学生提供了一种关爱和促进其学业成绩的新模式。文章采用问卷调查的形式,对312名大学生的父母教养方式及其对自主学习能力的影响进行调查研究,采用SPSS20.0(vision for Mac)对其数据进行统计分析。研究结果表明,父母对子女的教养方式能影响其自主学习能力,即关爱型父母的教养方式更有利于子女的自主学习,过度保护型父母子女的自主学习能力较弱。因此,尽管学校给学生创造了科学、系统的网络学习空间,但要更好地培养大学生的自主学习能力还需家校联动。展开更多
