The disadvantage is that fluid viscidity is not considered in the 2DDSWWS, which is the same as the famous Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation and Korteweg-de Vries equation. Applying dimensional analysis, we modify the 2DDSWWS and add the term related to the fluid viscidity to the 2DDSWWS. The approximate similarity solutions of the modified 2DDSWWS (M2DDSWWS) is studied and four similarity solutions are obtained. For the perfect fluids, the coefficient of kinematic viscosity is zero, then the M2DDSWWS will degenerate to the 2DDSWWS.展开更多

By introducing this concept, the eigen COD formulation of...The concept of eigen crack opening displacement (COD) can be defined as the COD of a crack in infinite plate under the tractions acting on the crack surface. By introducing this concept, the eigen COD formulation of boundary integral equation is proposed in this paper, together with the solution procedures for multiple crack problems in plane elasticity. With the proposed approach, the multiple crack problems can be solved with the conventional displacement discontinuity boundary integral equations in an iterative fashion with a small size of system matrix as that in the numerical Green’s function (NGF) approach but without the trouble to determine the complementary solutions since the standard boundary element discretization on the crack surface is no longer required with the proposed approach. Some numerical examples computing the stress intensity factors are presented and compared with those in literature to show the accuracy and the effectiveness of the proposed approach.展开更多

The obtained equation is a vector PDE. It states that the derivative of velocity is with respect to time proportions to the gradient of temperature with respect to trace. Its solution is obtained by the method of separating variables for scalar function. These results have been compared with well agreement with literatures. Highlight: The Principle of Minimum Energy Release (PMER) is used to prove the pulse-mode of explosion of nuclear weapon, as great Earthquake, and optimum path problems.展开更多

In this paper, we coupled the Quantum Mechanics conventional Schrödinger’s equation, for the particles, with the Maxwell’s wave equation, in order to study the potential’s role on the conversion of the ele...In this paper, we coupled the Quantum Mechanics conventional Schrödinger’s equation, for the particles, with the Maxwell’s wave equation, in order to study the potential’s role on the conversion of the electromagnetic field energy to mass and vice versa. We show that the dissipation (“conductivity”) factor and the particle implicit proper frequency are both related to the potential energy. We have also derived a new expression for the Schrödinger’s Equation considering the potential energy into this equation not as an ad hoc term, but also as an operator (Hermitian), which has the scalar potential energy as a natural eigenvalue of this operator.展开更多

The equilibrium distribution functi...A Lagrangian lattice Boltzmann method for solving Euler equations is proposed. The key step in formulating this method is the introduction of the displacement distribution function. The equilibrium distribution function consists of macroscopic Lagrangian variables at time steps n and n + 1. It is different from the standard lattice Boltzmann method. In this method the element, instead of each particle, is required to satisfy the basic law. The element is considered as one large particle, which results in simpler version than the corresponding Eulerian one, because the advection term disappears here. Our numerical examples successfully reproduce the classical results.展开更多
China's increasing exports have prompted research to examine whether Chinese exports displace those that originate from elsewhere.In this paper we focus on the growth of China's exports to the East African Com...China's increasing exports have prompted research to examine whether Chinese exports displace those that originate from elsewhere.In this paper we focus on the growth of China's exports to the East African Community(EAC)countries and show how they have afected exports from the European Union(EU).Our methodological contribution to the literature is a set of total and relative displacement estimates based on different specifications of the gravity model where we control for country-year fixed effects so as to avoid the error of not accounting for time-varying"multilateral resistance."Our empirical findings do not support the hypothesis that Chinese exports have displaced exports from other countries including those from the EU.These results suggest that competition in the EAC market has not been a zero-sum game among different exporting countries.展开更多
