Sixteen male Wister rats aged 30 days were randomly allocated into two groups (n = 8). The first group was infected orally with 15 viable encysted metacercaria of F. hepatica per animal. The other group was kept non-infected (control group). At zero time (before infection), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th weeks post-infection (WPI), blood and serum samples were collected via puncture of retro-orbital plexus of veins from each rat. Serum enzyme level (AST and ALT) and total protein were measured, and the serum protein profile was carried out using agarose gel electrophoresis. During the period of the experiment, serum ALT and AST activities and serum total globulins significantly increased while serum total proteins and albumin markedly decreased in the infected group. On the 14th WPI, the data of the electropherogram showed that globulin fractions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were significantly increased while α2-globulin was markedly decreased in the infected group. The molecular analysis confirmed the amplification of the ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of F. hepatica recovered from the infected liver of rats with amplicon sizes of 630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of the amplified ITS gene resulted in the determination of 3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of the ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under the accession numbers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, fasciolosis in the rat model is suitable for routine experimental infections and caused a pronounced liver dysfunction with discharging of the Fasciola eggs in the faeces and the development of adult stages in the bile ducts. Furthermore, molecular techniques are a sensitive tool for the identification and characterisation of the Fasciola parasite.展开更多

Spreadsheets, a prime example of end-user programming environments widely used in business for data analysis. However, Excel functionalities have limits compared to dedicated programming languages. This paper addresses this gap by proposing a prototype for integrating Python’s capabilities into Excel through on-premises desktop to build custom spreadsheet functions with Python. This approach overcomes potential latency issues associated with cloud-based solutions. This prototype utilizes Excel-DNA and IronPython. Excel-DNA allows creating custom Python functions that seamlessly integrate with Excel’s calculation engine. IronPython enables the execution of these Python (CSFs) directly within Excel. C# and VSTO add-ins form the core components, facilitating communication between Python and Excel. This approach empowers users with a potentially open-ended set of Python (CSFs) for tasks like mathematical calculations, statistical analysis, and even predictive modeling, all within the familiar Excel interface. This prototype demonstrates smooth integration, allowing users to call Python (CSFs) just like standard Excel functions. This research contributes to enhancing spreadsheet capabilities for end-user programmers by leveraging Python’s power within Excel. Future research could explore expanding data analysis capabilities by expanding the (CSFs) functions for complex calculations, statistical analysis, data manipulation, and even external library integration. The possibility of integrating machine learning models through the (CSFs) functions within the familiar Excel environment.展开更多

文摘The growing prevalence of fake images on the Internet and social media makes image integrity verification a crucial research topic. One of the most popular methods for manipulating digital images is image splicing, which involves copying a specific area from one image and pasting it into another.Attempts were made to mitigate the effects of image splicing, which continues to be a significant research challenge. This study proposes a new splicing detectionmodel, combining Sonine functions-derived convex-based features and deep features. Two stages make up the proposed method. The first step entails feature extraction, then classification using the“support vector machine”(SVM)to differentiate authentic and spliced images. The proposed Sonine functions-based feature extraction model reveals the spliced texture details by extracting some clues about the probability of image pixels. The proposed model achieved an accuracy of 98.93% when tested with the CASIA V2.0 dataset“Chinese Academy of Sciences,Institute of Automation”which is a publicly available dataset for forgery classification. The experimental results show that, for image splicing forgery detection, the proposed Sonine functions-derived convex-based features and deep features outperform state-of-the-art techniques in terms of accuracy, precision, and recall.Overall, the obtained detection accuracy attests to the benefit of using the Sonine functions alongside deep feature representations.Finding the regions or locations where image tampering has taken place is limited by the study.Future research will need to look into advanced image analysis techniques that can offer a higher degree of accuracy in identifying and localizing tampering regions.

文摘The undesirable dendrite growth induced by non-planar zinc(Zn)deposition and low Coulombic efficiency resulting from severe side reactions have been long-standing challenges for metallic Zn anodes and substantially impede the practical application of rechargeable aqueous Zn metal batteries(ZMBs).Herein,we present a strategy for achieving a high-rate and long-cycle-life Zn metal anode by patterning Zn foil surfaces and endowing a Zn-Indium(Zn-In)interface in the microchannels. The accumulation of electrons in the microchannel and the zincophilicity of the Zn-In interface promote preferential heteroepitaxial Zn deposition in the microchannel region and enhance the tolerance of the electrode at high current densities.Meanwhile, electron aggregation accelerates the dissolution of non-(002)plane Zn atoms on the array surface, thereby directing the subsequent homoepitaxial Zn deposition on the array surface.Consequently, the planar dendrite-free Zn deposition and long-term cycling stability are achieved(5,050 h at 10.0 mA cm^(−2) and 27,000 cycles at 20.0 mA cm^(−2)).Furthermore,a Zn/I_(2) full cell assembled by pairing with such an anode can maintain good stability for 3,500 cycles at 5.0 C,demonstrating the application potential of the as-prepared ZnIn anode for high-performance aqueous ZMBs.

文摘This paper introduces the quantum control of Lyapunov functions based on the state distance, the mean of imaginary quantities and state errors. In this paper, the specific control laws under the three forms are given.Stability is analyzed by the La Salle invariance principle and the numerical simulation is carried out in a 2D test system. The calculation process for the Lyapunov function is based on a combination of the average of virtual mechanical quantities, the particle swarm algorithm and a simulated annealing algorithm. Finally, a unified form of the control laws under the three forms is given.
文摘The World Journal of Cardiology published an article written by Kuwahara et al that we take the pleasure to comment on.We focused our attention on venous congestion. In intensive care settings,it is now widely accepted that venous congestion is an important clinical feature worthy of investigation.Evaluating venous Doppler profile abnormalities at multiple sites could suggest adequate treatment and monitor its efficacy.Renal dysfunction could trigger or worsen fluid overload in heart disease, and cardio-renal syndrome is a well-characterized spectrum of disorders describing the complex interactions between heart and kidney diseases.Fluid overload and venous congestion, including renal venous hypertension, are major determinants of acute and chronic renal dysfunction arising in heart disease.Organ congestion from venous hypertension could be involved in the development of organ injury in several clinical situations, such as critical diseases, congestive heart failure, and chronic kidney disease.Ultrasonography and abnormal Doppler flow patterns diagnose clinically significant systemic venous congestion.Cardiologists and nephrologists might use this valuable, noninvasive, bedside diagnostic tool to establish fluid status and guide clinical choices.

文摘For an arbitrary solution to the Volterra lattice hierarchy, the logarithmic derivatives of the tau-function of the solution can be computed by the matrix-resolvent method. In this paper,we define a pair of wave functions of the solution and use them to give an expression of the matrix resolvent;based on this we obtain a new formula for the k-point functions for the Volterra lattice hierarchy in terms of wave functions. As an application,we give an explicit formula of k-point functions for the even GUE(Gaussian Unitary Ensemble)correlators.

文摘The current study was performed to evaluate the liver function status as well as molecular characterization of the recovered worms in rats experimentally infected with F. hepatica. Furthermore, molecular techniques are a sensitive tool for the identification and characterisation of the Fasciola parasite.

文摘The electroencephalogram(EEG)rhythm and functional near-infrared spectroscopy(fNIRS)activation levels have not been compared between a healthy control group(HCG)and methamphetamine user group(MUG)with different addiction histories. This study used 64-electrode EEG and fNIRS to conduct an experiment that analyzed the resting and craving states. The EEG and fNIRS data of 56 participants were collected, including 14 healthy participants,14 methamphetamine users with an addiction history of 0.5–5 years,14 users with an addiction history of 5–10 years, and 14 users with an addiction history of 10–15 years.Isolated effective coherence(iCoh)within the brain network was used to process the EEG data.Statistical analysis was performed to compare differences in iCoh among the delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma bands and explore oxyhemoglobin activation levels in the ventrolateral prefrontal cortex, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, orbitofrontal cortex, and frontopolar prefrontal cortex(FPC)of the control group. Finally, the Kmeans,Gaussian mixed model(GMM),linear discriminant analysis(LDA),support vector machine(SVM),Bayes, and convolutional neural networks(CNN)algorithms were used to classify methamphetamine users based on drug and neutral images.A 3-class accuracy was achieved.Changes in EEG and fNIRS activation levels of HCG and MUG with varied addiction histories were demonstrated.
文摘End-user computing empowers non-developers to manage data and applications, enhancing collaboration and efficiency. The possibility of integrating machine learning models through the (CSFs) functions within the familiar Excel environment.
