However, the poor intrinsic electronic conductivity and large volume change during lithium intercalation/de-intercalation restrict its practical applications. Fabrication of SiO/C composites is an effective way to overcome these problems. Herein, a series of micro-sized SiO@C/graphite(Si0@C/G) composite anode materials, with designed capacity of 600 mAh·g-1, are successfully prepared through a pitch pyrolysis reaction method. The electrochemical performance of SiO@C/G composite anodes with different carbon coating contents of 5 wt%, 10 wt%, 15 wt%, and 35 wt% is investigated. The results show that the SiO@C/G composite with15-wt% carbon coating content exhibits the best cycle performance, with a high capacity retention of 90.7% at 25℃ and90.1% at 45 0 C after 100 cycles in full cells with LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 as cathodes. The scanning electron microscope(SEM) and electrochemistry impedance spectroscopy(EIS) results suggest that a moderate carbon coating layer can promote the formation of stable SEI film, which is favorable for maintaining good interfacial conductivity and thus enhancing the cycling stability of SiO electrode.展开更多

In this study, coating of TiN and TiO2 was performed. It was clearly shown that the extended anode effect was strongly influenced by the electric resistance of the coated thin films on the inner surface of an insulator tube. Additionally, high frequency (100 kHz) was better for relatively high plasma density. On the other hand, in the case of titanium oxide deposition, negative ion productions drastically decrease the deposition rate and the shifting velocity of plasma main position for coated TiO2 films.展开更多

The morphology and the composition distribution of the metal oxide coating anode before and after electrolysis were studied by SEM and EDX analyses. The results show that the erosion of the electrolyte at the defects is the main cause for the failure of the coating. The erosion rate of the electrolyte is anisotropic. In area with high density of defects, the erosion rate is very fast and the failure of the coating is very quick. Moreover, the life time of the coating is prolonged by the doping of Eu. [展开更多

Their electrochemical behaviors were compared with that of a conventional Pb-0.7%Ag alloy anode. Electrochemical measurements such as cyclic voltammetric, galvanostatic, potentiodynamic, open-circuit potential (OCP) and in situ electrochemical noise measurements were considered. After 2 h of OCP test, the linear polarization shows that the corrosion current density of the Ti/(IrO2-Ta2O5) mesh electrode is the lowest (3.37μA/cm^2) among the three OCAs and shows excellent performance. Additionally, after 24 h of galvanostatic polarization at 50 mA/cm^2and 38 ℃, the Ti/MnO2mesh anode has the highest potential (1.799 V), followed by the Ti/(IrO2-Ta2O5) plate (1.775 V) and Ti/(IrO2-Ta2O5) mesh (1.705 V) anodes. After 24 h of galvanostatic polarization followed by 16 h of decay, the linear polarization method confirms the sequence obtained after 2 h of OCP test, and the Ti/(IrO2-Ta2O5) mesh attains the lowest corrosion current density. The Ti/(IrO2-Ta2O5) mesh anode also shows better performance after 24 h of galvanostatic polarization with the overpotential lower than that of the conventional Pb-Ag anode by about 245 mV.展开更多

文摘Silicon monoxide(SiO) has been considered as one of the most promising anode materials for next generation highenergy-density Li-ion batteries(LiBs) thanks to its high theoretical capacity. The scanning electron microscope(SEM) and electrochemistry impedance spectroscopy(EIS) results suggest that a moderate carbon coating layer can promote the formation of stable SEI film, which is favorable for maintaining good interfacial conductivity and thus enhancing the cycling stability of SiO electrode.

文摘Coating polymer on the surface is an effective way to realize functional modification of the materials for diverse applications, which has been proved to enhance the stability of metal anodes in batteries. However, given the limited operability of coating from polymer dispersions,it is imperative to develop simple aqueous-based strategies from monomers for versatile polymer coating.Herein,a Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx MXene-assisted approach is proposed to construct polymer coating on zinc metal surfaces directly from the aqueous solution of monomers in an ice bath.By combining a doctor-blading method with spontaneous polymerization of monomers on the substrates at room temperature,a uniform, adhesive, and versatile coating layer assisted by a small amount of MXene is produced in one step.Additionally,MXene nanosheets serve as nanofillers to further enhance the mechanical strength and ionic conductivity of the polymer coating.Benefiting from good film formation and improved interfacial contact, the coated zinc anode exhibits a long cycling lifespan of over 1900 h.The assembled full cells show excellent cycling stability with a high capacity retention of 85.0%at 16 A g^(-1)over 2600 cycles. This work provides a simple and efficient way to produce polymer coatings directly from monomers, which may give new insights into design multifunctional polymer coatings for various applications.

文摘Metallic interface engineering is a promising strategy to stabilize Zn anode via promoting Zn^(2+) uniform deposition. However, strong interactions between the coating and Zn^(2+) and sluggish transport of Zn^(2+) lead to high anodic polarization. Here,we present a bio-inspired silk fibroin(SF)coating with amphoteric charges to construct an interface reversible electric field, which manipulates the transfer kinetics of Zn^(2+) and reduces anodic polarization. The alternating positively and negatively charged surface as a build-in driving force can expedite and homogenize Zn^(2+) flux via the inter-play between the charged coating and adsorbed ions, endowing the Zn-SF anode with low polarization voltage and stable plating/stripping.Experimental analyses with theo-retical calculations suggest that SF can facilitate the desolvation of[Zn(H_(2)O)_(6)]^(2+) and provide nucleation sites for uniform deposition.Consequently, the Zn-SF anode delivers a high-rate performance with low voltage polarization(83 mV at 20 mA cm^(−2)) and excellent stability(1500 h at 1 mA cm^(−2);500 h at 10 mA cm^(−2)),realizing exceptional cumulative capacity of 2.5 Ah cm^(−2).The full cell coupled with Zn_(x)V_(2)O_(5)·nH_(2)O(ZnVO)cathode achieves specific energy of~270.5/150.6 Wh kg^(−1)(at 0.5/10 A g^(−1))with-99.8% Coulombic efficiency and retains~80.3%(at 5.0 A g^(−1))after 3000 cycles.

文摘Phosphorus is a promising anode with high capacity (2596 mAh g^(-1)and 6075~6924 mAh cm^(-3)),low lithium-ion diffusion barrier (0.08 e V),and appropriate lithiation potential (~0.7 V vs Li+/Li).However,it faces the problems of huge volume expansion (~300%),low electronic conductivity (10^(-14)~10^(2)S cm^(-1)),soluble intermediates (lithium polyphosphides,Li_(x)Ps),degradation in air,and low thermal stability. In this work,phosphorus/carbon nanotube composites were coated with a polyimide layer, which plays the roles of a buffer layer to relieve the volume expansion of phosphorus,an obstruct layer to confine LixPs,an inert layer to prevent the degradation of phosphorus in air,a heat resistant layer to improve the thermal stability of the anode. The resulting composites (P/CNT@PI) display high capacity retention of798.1 m Ah g^(-1)after 150 cycles at 1 A g^(-1),achieving 17 times as much as the control sample (P/CNT).

文摘The properties of Al/conductive coating/α-PbO2-CeO2-TiO2/β-PbO2-WC-ZrO2 composite anode for zinc electrowinning were investigated. The electrochemical performance was studied by Tafel polarization curves(Tafel), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and corrosion rate obtained in an acidic zinc sulfate electrolyte solution. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDXS) were used to observe the microstructural features of coating. Anodes of Al/conductive coating/α-PbO2-CeO2-TiO2/β-PbO2, Al/conductive coating/α-PbO2-CeO2-TiO2/β-PbO2-WC, Al/conductive coating/α-PbO2-CeO2-TiO2/β-PbO2-ZrO2, and Pb-1%Ag anodes were also researched. The results indicated that the Al/conductive coating/α-PbO2-CeO2-TiO2/β-PbO2-WC-ZrO2 showed the best catalytic activity and corrosion resistant performance; the intensity of diffraction peak exhibited the highest value as well as a new PbWO4 phase; the content of WC and ZrO2 in coating showed the highest value as well as the finest grain size.
文摘For uniform tube inner coating of non-conductive thin films, the double-ended coaxial magnetron pulsed plasma (DCMPP) method was investigated. In this study, coating of TiN and TiO2 was performed. It was clearly shown that the extended anode effect was strongly influenced by the electric resistance of the coated thin films on the inner surface of an insulator tube. Additionally, high frequency (100 kHz) was better for relatively high plasma density. On the other hand, in the case of titanium oxide deposition, negative ion productions drastically decrease the deposition rate and the shifting velocity of plasma main position for coated TiO2 films.
文摘A new type anode, Ti anode with Ti-Mn coating, has been used to prepare EMD (Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide) by some Chinese manufacturers for 4 years. The industry test shows that this anode has such characteristics as sturdy, light, fine mechanical performance, very high passivation resistance and corrosion resistance. The passivation of this anode is discussed and the results show that this anode is better than the pure titanium anode in the EMD industry.

文摘The anti passivation effect of metal oxide anode coating doped with rare earth element Eu was discussed. [

文摘The catalytic performance of two oxides coated anodes (OCSs) meshes and one OCA plate was investigated in a zinc electrowinning electrolyte at 38 ℃. The Ti/(IrO2-Ta2O5) mesh anode also shows better performance after 24 h of galvanostatic polarization with the overpotential lower than that of the conventional Pb-Ag anode by about 245 mV.

文摘To tackle energy crisis and achieve sustainable development, aqueous rechargeable zinc ion batteries have gained widespread attention in large-scale energy storage for their low cost, high safety, high theoretical capacity, and environmental compatibility in recent years. However, zinc anode in aqueous zinc ion batteries is still facing several challenges such as dendrite growth and side reactions(e.g., hydrogen evolution), which cause poor reversibility and the failure of batteries. To address these issues, interfacial modification of Zn anodes has received great attention by tuning the interaction between the anode and the electrolyte. Herein, we present recent advances in the interfacial modification of zinc anode in this review. Besides, the challenges of reported approaches of interfacial modification are also discussed. Finally, we provide an outlook for the exploration of novel zinc anode for aqueous zinc ion batteries. We hope that this review will be helpful in designing and fabricating dendrite-free and hydrogenevolution-free Zn anodes and promoting the practical application of aqueous rechargeable zinc ion batteries.

文摘2198 and 5A90 Al-Li alloys were anodized with a constant DC potential in 18%H_2SO_4solution(Solu.A) and the mixture solution of 18%H_2SO_4+5%C_2H_2O_4(Solu.B) at room temperature. 12 and 11 V was optimized as the applied oxidation potential for 2198 and 5A90 alloys, respectively. Cross-sectional morphology, surface morphology and elements distribution of anodic oxidation coatings were observed by scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive X-ray analysis(SEM/EDX). Corrosion resistance was tested by potentiodynamic polarization plot in 3.5%NaCl solution. The results showed that the thicknesses of coatings obtained at the selected potential in Solu.A and Solu.B were about 50 μm/110 μm for 2198 alloy and 80 μm/110 μm for 5A90 alloy. In both solutions, anodic oxidation coatings of 2198 alloy were primarily composed of Al oxides; those of 5A90 alloy were mainly consisted of Al oxides and a small amount of Mg oxides. The results of potentiodynamic polarization showed that anodic oxidation coatings of 2198 and 5A90 Al-Li alloys had better corrosion resistances than that of untreated alloys.
