The relationship between the duration of the laryngeal lesion and the period of the voice rehabilita- tion was examined.13patients received the reduction under IL and 10 patients under DL .Except the tim es of the reduction,which showed significant difference,no differences were found between IL group and DL group in the course and the period of voice rehabilitation,as well as sore throat after the manipulation.The patients'voice recovery was positively related to their course of dis- ease in both IL and DL group.Itis concluded thatthe recovery of normal voice is obviously affect- ed by the duration of arytenoid dislocation.The reduction under IL is as effective as under DL in the treatment of arytenoid dislocation.Reduction by DL is better suit the patients with long tim e course of disease.展开更多
An efficient protocol for maintaining the artemisinin content in tissue culture and high frequency of in vitro direct and indirect regenerations of multiple shoots of high artemisinin yielding genotypes of Artemisia a...An efficient protocol for maintaining the artemisinin content in tissue culture and high frequency of in vitro direct and indirect regenerations of multiple shoots of high artemisinin yielding genotypes of Artemisia annua has been developed and their comparison with field grown mother plant has been carried out.The eleven elite genotypes(containing more than 1%artemisinin)were tested on seven different modified media formulations.Modified half MS(Murashige and Skoog’s)media containing 100 mg L^(-1) myo-inositol,0.5 g L^(-1) casine hydrolysate,5 mg L^(-1) biotin,2 mL L^(-1) RT(Revised Tobacco)vitamin stock,0.5 mg L^(-1) BAP and 0.01 mg L^(-1) NAA showed best regeneration while,above modified MS medium containing 0.2 mg L^(-1) BAP and 0.2 mg L^(-1) NAA showed maximum shoot multiplication with maintained artemisinin content.Based on the chemical profiles of both the systems,minor difference was observed in their artemisinin content.A large scale culture of these plants maintained the normal growth index along with the artemisinin content and could be a better alternative to maintain the high artemisinin yielding genotypes with their genetic constraint in specific media combinations and also used as base material for further genetic improvement.展开更多

Nuclear astrophysics is a rapidly developing interdisciplinary feld of research that has received extensive attention from the scientifc community since the midtwentieth century.Broadly,it uses the laws of extremely s...Nuclear astrophysics is a rapidly developing interdisciplinary feld of research that has received extensive attention from the scientifc community since the midtwentieth century.Broadly,it uses the laws of extremely small atomic nuclei to explain the evolution of the universe.Owing to the complexity of nucleosynthesis processes and our limited understanding of nuclear physics in astrophysical environments,several critical astrophysical problems remain unsolved.To achieve a better understanding of astrophysics,it is necessary to measure the cross sections of key nuclear reactions with the precision required by astrophysical models.Direct measurement of nuclear reaction cross sections is an important method of investigating how nuclear reactions infuence stellar evolution.Given the challenges involved in measuring the extremely low crosssections of nuclear reactions in the Gamow peak and preparing radioactive targets,indirect methods,such as the transfer reaction,coulomb dissociation,and surrogate ratio methods,have been developed over the past several decades.These are powerful tools in the investigation of,for example,neutron-capture(n,r)reactions with short-lived radioactive isotopes.However,direct measurement is still preferable,such as in the case of reactions involving light and stable nuclei.As an essential part of stellar evolution,these low-energy stable nuclear reactions have been of particular interest in recent years.To overcome the diffculties in measurements near or deeply within the Gamow window,the combination of an underground laboratory and high-exposure accelerator/detector complex is currently the optimal solution.Therefore,underground experiments have emerged as a new and promising direction of research.In addition,to better simulate the stellar environment in the laboratory,research on nuclear physics under laser-driven plasma conditions has gradually become a frontier hotspot.In recent years,the CIAE team conducted a series of distinctive nuclear astrophysics studies,relying on the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics platform and accelerators in Earth’s surface laboratories,including the Beijing Radioactive Ion beam Facility,as well as other scientifc platforms at home and abroad.This research covered nuclear theories,numerical models,direct measurements,indirect measurements,and other novel approaches,achieving great interdisciplinary research results,with high-level academic publications and signifcant international impacts.This article reviews the above research and predicts future developments.展开更多

Indirect and direct methods are combined to design the adaptive fuzzy output feedback controller and a high-gain observer is used to estimate the derivatives of the system output. The closed-loop system is proven to be semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded. In addition, it is shown that if the approximation accuracy of the fuzzy logic system is high enough and the observer gain is chosen sufficiently large, an arbitrarily small tracking error can be achieved. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the newly designed scheme and the theoretical discussion.展开更多

In ARP attack, the DDoS agents constantly send a barrage of ARP requests to the gateway, or to a victim computer within the same sub-network, and tie up the resource of attacked gateway or host. In this paper, we set to measure the impact of ARP-attack on resource exhaustion of computers in a local area network. Based on attack experiments, we measure the exhaustion of processing and memory resources of a victim computer and also other computers, which are located on the same network as the victim computer. Interestingly enough, it is observed that an ARP-attack not only exhausts resource of the victim computer but also significantly exhausts processing resource of other non-victim computers, which happen to be located on the same local area network as the victim computer.展开更多

World-wide, st...Due to its chronic nature with severe complications, diabetes needs costly prolonged treatment and care. The high economic burden of diabetes is particularly threatening low and middle income countries. World-wide, studies have shown that the cost of diabetes per person is much higher than the per capita health expenditure. This study is the first to estimate the direct and indirect cost of diabetes in Morocco. The direct cost of diabetes was computed by assuming three scenarios of prices (low, medium and high) due to different prices of insulin, oral drugs and other items used in diabetes treatment and care. Indirect costs of diabetes were estimated by the lifetime forgone earnings caused by premature death and disability due to diabetes. The direct cost of diabetes in Morocco was estimated to be between US $0.47 and US $1.5 billion whereas the indirect cost was estimated to be around US $2 billion accounting for 57% of the total cost of diabetes under the high cost scenario, 69% under the medium scenario and 81% under the low cost scenario. The average per capita indirect cost was estimated to be US $1113, relatively higher than the direct cost of diabetes which was seen to vary from US$ 259 to US $830. The results yielded by this study were compared to those obtained by similar studies in different regions and countries of the world. As a conclusion, the findings of this study indicate a high economic burden of diabetes and stress the importance that Moroccan health decision makers should give to sensitisation, early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes especially with the crucial growing trend of diabetes prevalence.展开更多

Condensing the masses outside the geoid to a surface layer on the geoid produces several forms of topographic effects: direct effect on gravity, secondary indirect effect on gravity and indirect effects on the (quasi-) geoid, respectively. To strike a balance between computation accuracy and numerical efficiency, the global integration region of topographic effects is usually divided into near zone and far zone. We focus on the computation of near-zone topographic effects, which are functions of actual topographic masses and condensed masses. Since there have already been mature formulas for gravitational attraction and potential of actual topographic masses using rectangular prism model, we put forward surface element model for condensed masses. Afterwards, the formulas for near-zone direct and indirect effects are obtained easily by combining the rectangular prism model and surface element model. To overcome the planar approximation errors involved with the new formulas for near-zone topographic effects, the Earth’s curvature can be taken into account. It is recommended to apply the formulas based on the rectangular prism and surface element considering the Earth’s curvature to calculate near-zone topographic effects for high-accuracy demand to determine geoid and quasi-geoid.展开更多
The multifunctionality and the advantages of thermal plasma for the fast inactivation of viable cells and degradation of organic compounds dissolved in waste water are presented.A complete bacterial inactivation proce...The multifunctionality and the advantages of thermal plasma for the fast inactivation of viable cells and degradation of organic compounds dissolved in waste water are presented.A complete bacterial inactivation process was observed and studied using a thermal plasma treatment source with very short application times,in particular for Staphylococcus aureus bundle spore survival.The survival curves and analyses of the experimental data of the initial and final densities of S.aureus bacteria show a dramatic inhibitory effect of the plasma discharge on the residual bacteria survival ratio.As the exposure time increased,the inactivation process rate increased for direct exposure more than it did for indirect exposure.The evaluation of direct and indirect exposure was based on the analysis of the ultraviolet spectrum from the absorbance spectra of the organic compound dye called benzene sulfonate(C(16)H(11)N2Na O4S)and of viable cells called S.aureus.Organic compounds were degraded and viable cells were killed in a short time by thermal plasma.Moreover,analyses of total carbon,total organic carbon,and total inorganic carbon showed a fast decrease in organically bound carbon,however,this was not as fast as the absorbance spectra revealed by the exposure time increasing more for direct exposure than indirect exposure.After 100 s of exposure to the organic compound dye the removal had a maximun of 40%for samples with indirect exposure to the plasma and a maximum of 90%for samples with the direct exposure.For both samples,where some organic contaminants still remained in treated water,four electrolytes(KCl,Na Cl,Na2SO4,and CH3COONa)were added to be effective for complete sterilization,reaching a purity of 100%.A proposal is made for an optimized thermal plasma water purification system(TPWPS)to improve fast inactivation of microbes and the degradation of organic compounds dissolved in water(especially for direct exposure rather than indirect exposure)using a hybrid plasma torch with an electrical power of 125 kW(500 V–250 A)producing a high-temperature(10 000 K–19 000 K)plasma jet with a maximum gas consumption of 28 mg s^-1.展开更多
The degradations of hexazinone and aldicarb by direct ozonation combined an advanced oxidation process( AOP) of O3/H2O2 were investigated in this study focusing on the oxidation mechanism by identifying the hydrogen p...The degradations of hexazinone and aldicarb by direct ozonation combined an advanced oxidation process( AOP) of O3/H2O2 were investigated in this study focusing on the oxidation mechanism by identifying the hydrogen peroxide consumption during the oxidation process of the two chemicals. The results showed that H2O2 could enhance the removal rate of the triazine herbicide hexazinone,and it was consumed along with the variation of removal rate in the light of different pH levels. The addition of H2O2 contributed little to the removal of the thiocarbamate herbicide aldicarb and H2O2 content kept constantly throughout the degradation process. Tert-butyl alcohol( TBA) effectively scavenged the ·OH radical for hexazinone,but had no effect on the removal rate of aldicarb. Aldicarb removal was mainly attributed to direct ozonation molecule in both O3( 97.00%) and O3/H2O2( 96.76%)systems. Moreover,sole O3 could hardly oxidize hexazinone whereas·OH radicals contribute respective 74.70% and 97.50% of removal in O3 system and O3/H2O2 AOP. All of these findings suggest that the mechanism of ·OH radical generation and the chain reaction in O3/H2O2 AOP should be further discussed.展开更多

This analysis takes into account not only the direct effects of FDI on exports, but also the indirect effects, by examining the mediating role of export oriented Japanese FDI in China from 1998 to 2007 through panel analysis. Direct band gap crystal exhibits two and three photon absorption at all input irradiances. On the other hand, at low input irradiance the indirect band gap crystal exhibits saturable absorption (SA). At higher input irradiances two and three photon absorption becomes dominant. A monotonic increase of the nonlinear absorption coefficients with increasing laser pulse duration from 60 ps to 10 ns is observed for GaN and CdI2 crystals.展开更多

Each of these technologies has certain advantages and disadvantages from the point of view of energy generation for final consumption. In parallel, each of them has certain environmental impact in terms of emissions. The proposed EU directive prefers utilization of primary energy sources by application of highly efficient co-generation. Such change in assessment of energy effectiveness also means a completely new approach in assessment of current technologies. This report presents a guide for optimization of biomass energy conversion technologies assuming application of this new condition and minimal environmental impact. 文摘An efficient protocol for maintaining the artemisinin content in tissue culture and high frequency of in vitro direct and indirect regenerations of multiple shoots of high artemisinin yielding genotypes of Artemisia annua has been developed and their comparison with field grown mother plant has been carried out.The eleven elite genotypes(containing more than 1%artemisinin)were tested on seven different modified media formulations.Modified half MS(Murashige and Skoog’s)media containing 100 mg L^(-1) myo-inositol,0.5 g L^(-1) casine hydrolysate,5 mg L^(-1) biotin,2 mL L^(-1) RT(Revised Tobacco)vitamin stock,0.5 mg L^(-1) BAP and 0.01 mg L^(-1) NAA showed best regeneration while,above modified MS medium containing 0.2 mg L^(-1) BAP and 0.2 mg L^(-1) NAA showed maximum shoot multiplication with maintained artemisinin content.Based on the chemical profiles of both the systems,minor difference was observed in their artemisinin content.A large scale culture of these plants maintained the normal growth index along with the artemisinin content and could be a better alternative to maintain the high artemisinin yielding genotypes with their genetic constraint in specific media combinations and also used as base material for further genetic improvement.
文摘The purpose of this paper is the analysis and interpretation of taxation(direct-indirect)in the context of Tax Education,as well as the promotion of social justice involved in direct taxes as opposed to indirect.Initially,a theoretical approach is taken to the general concepts and principles that govern tax law.Then the Greek tax and fiscal system is presented,in combination with the harmonization of tax legislation under EU(Community)law in accordance with the OECD(Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development)directives.Reference is made to those characteristics that demonstrate the incorporation of the Agency’s directives so far.Any future modification or reform of the national tax system should incorporate the fundamental principles of national tax policy but also be in line with OECD principles and guidelines.Further implementation of the Agency’s recommendations will shift the balance between direct and indirect taxation,leading to the strengthening of the former and the reduction of the latter.Direct taxes have been rising steadily in recent decades compared to indirect taxes,especially in developed countries.The main reason is that direct taxation is socially fair and efficient.Any future modification or reform of the national tax system should incorporate the fundamental principles of national tax policy but also be in line with OECD principles and guidelines.Further implementation of the Agency’s recommendations will shift the balance between direct and indirect taxation,leading to the strengthening of the former and the reduction of the latter.Direct taxes have been rising steadily in recent decades compared to indirect taxes,especially in developed countries.The main reason is that direct taxation is socially fair and efficient.

文摘Nuclear astrophysics is a rapidly developing interdisciplinary feld of research that has received extensive attention from the scientifc community since the midtwentieth century.Broadly,it uses the laws of extremely small atomic nuclei to explain the evolution of the universe.Owing to the complexity of nucleosynthesis processes and our limited understanding of nuclear physics in astrophysical environments,several critical astrophysical problems remain unsolved.To achieve a better understanding of astrophysics,it is necessary to measure the cross sections of key nuclear reactions with the precision required by astrophysical models.Direct measurement of nuclear reaction cross sections is an important method of investigating how nuclear reactions infuence stellar evolution.Given the challenges involved in measuring the extremely low crosssections of nuclear reactions in the Gamow peak and preparing radioactive targets,indirect methods,such as the transfer reaction,coulomb dissociation,and surrogate ratio methods,have been developed over the past several decades.These are powerful tools in the investigation of,for example,neutron-capture(n,r)reactions with short-lived radioactive isotopes.However,direct measurement is still preferable,such as in the case of reactions involving light and stable nuclei.As an essential part of stellar evolution,these low-energy stable nuclear reactions have been of particular interest in recent years.To overcome the diffculties in measurements near or deeply within the Gamow window,the combination of an underground laboratory and high-exposure accelerator/detector complex is currently the optimal solution.Therefore,underground experiments have emerged as a new and promising direction of research.In addition,to better simulate the stellar environment in the laboratory,research on nuclear physics under laser-driven plasma conditions has gradually become a frontier hotspot.In recent years,the CIAE team conducted a series of distinctive nuclear astrophysics studies,relying on the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics platform and accelerators in Earth’s surface laboratories,including the Beijing Radioactive Ion beam Facility,as well as other scientifc platforms at home and abroad.This research covered nuclear theories,numerical models,direct measurements,indirect measurements,and other novel approaches,achieving great interdisciplinary research results,with high-level academic publications and signifcant international impacts.This article reviews the above research and predicts future developments.

文摘A novel control method for a general class of nonlinear systems using fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) is presertted. Indirect and direct methods are combined to design the adaptive fuzzy output feedback controller and a high-gain observer is used to estimate the derivatives of the system output. The closed-loop system is proven to be semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded. In addition, it is shown that if the approximation accuracy of the fuzzy logic system is high enough and the observer gain is chosen sufficiently large, an arbitrarily small tracking error can be achieved. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the newly designed scheme and the theoretical discussion.
文摘ARP-based Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks due to ARP-storms can happen in local area networks where many computer systems are infected by worms such as Code Red or by DDoS agents. In ARP attack, the DDoS agents constantly send a barrage of ARP requests to the gateway, or to a victim computer within the same sub-network, and tie up the resource of attacked gateway or host. In this paper, we set to measure the impact of ARP-attack on resource exhaustion of computers in a local area network. Based on attack experiments, we measure the exhaustion of processing and memory resources of a victim computer and also other computers, which are located on the same network as the victim computer. Interestingly enough, it is observed that an ARP-attack not only exhausts resource of the victim computer but also significantly exhausts processing resource of other non-victim computers, which happen to be located on the same local area network as the victim computer.
文摘Due to its chronic nature with severe complications, diabetes needs costly prolonged treatment and care. The high economic burden of diabetes is particularly threatening low and middle income countries. World-wide, studies have shown that the cost of diabetes per person is much higher than the per capita health expenditure. This study is the first to estimate the direct and indirect cost of diabetes in Morocco. The direct cost of diabetes was computed by assuming three scenarios of prices (low, medium and high) due to different prices of insulin, oral drugs and other items used in diabetes treatment and care. Indirect costs of diabetes were estimated by the lifetime forgone earnings caused by premature death and disability due to diabetes. The direct cost of diabetes in Morocco was estimated to be between US $0.47 and US $1.5 billion whereas the indirect cost was estimated to be around US $2 billion accounting for 57% of the total cost of diabetes under the high cost scenario, 69% under the medium scenario and 81% under the low cost scenario. The average per capita indirect cost was estimated to be US $1113, relatively higher than the direct cost of diabetes which was seen to vary from US$ 259 to US $830. The results yielded by this study were compared to those obtained by similar studies in different regions and countries of the world. As a conclusion, the findings of this study indicate a high economic burden of diabetes and stress the importance that Moroccan health decision makers should give to sensitisation, early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes especially with the crucial growing trend of diabetes prevalence.
文摘A“simplified”figure was proposed in 2011 to summarize the results of controlled trials that evaluate different treatments aimed at the same disease condition.The original criteria for classifying individual binary comparisons included superiority,inferiority and no significance difference;hence,they did not differentiate between no proof of difference vs proof of no difference.We updated the criteria employed in the original“simplified”figure in order to include this differentiation.A revised version of the simplified figure is proposed and described herein.An example of application is also presented.The example is focused on first-line treatments for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.Three treatments(medical therapy,cryoballoon ablation,radiofrequency ablation)are compared with one another through direct and indirect comparisons.

文摘Helmert’s second method of condensation is an effective method for terrain reduction in the geoid and quasi-geoid determinations. Condensing the masses outside the geoid to a surface layer on the geoid produces several forms of topographic effects: direct effect on gravity, secondary indirect effect on gravity and indirect effects on the (quasi-) geoid, respectively. To strike a balance between computation accuracy and numerical efficiency, the global integration region of topographic effects is usually divided into near zone and far zone. We focus on the computation of near-zone topographic effects, which are functions of actual topographic masses and condensed masses. Since there have already been mature formulas for gravitational attraction and potential of actual topographic masses using rectangular prism model, we put forward surface element model for condensed masses. Afterwards, the formulas for near-zone direct and indirect effects are obtained easily by combining the rectangular prism model and surface element model. To overcome the planar approximation errors involved with the new formulas for near-zone topographic effects, the Earth’s curvature can be taken into account. It is recommended to apply the formulas based on the rectangular prism and surface element considering the Earth’s curvature to calculate near-zone topographic effects for high-accuracy demand to determine geoid and quasi-geoid.

文摘The multifunctionality and the advantages of thermal plasma for the fast inactivation of viable cells and degradation of organic compounds dissolved in waste water are presented.A complete bacterial inactivation process was observed and studied using a thermal plasma treatment source with very short application times,in particular for Staphylococcus aureus bundle spore survival.The survival curves and analyses of the experimental data of the initial and final densities of S.aureus bacteria show a dramatic inhibitory effect of the plasma discharge on the residual bacteria survival ratio.As the exposure time increased,the inactivation process rate increased for direct exposure more than it did for indirect exposure.The evaluation of direct and indirect exposure was based on the analysis of the ultraviolet spectrum from the absorbance spectra of the organic compound dye called benzene sulfonate(C(16)H(11)N2Na O4S)and of viable cells called S.aureus.Organic compounds were degraded and viable cells were killed in a short time by thermal plasma.Moreover,analyses of total carbon,total organic carbon,and total inorganic carbon showed a fast decrease in organically bound carbon,however,this was not as fast as the absorbance spectra revealed by the exposure time increasing more for direct exposure than indirect exposure.After 100 s of exposure to the organic compound dye the removal had a maximun of 40%for samples with indirect exposure to the plasma and a maximum of 90%for samples with the direct exposure.For both samples,where some organic contaminants still remained in treated water,four electrolytes(KCl,Na Cl,Na2SO4,and CH3COONa)were added to be effective for complete sterilization,reaching a purity of 100%.A proposal is made for an optimized thermal plasma water purification system(TPWPS)to improve fast inactivation of microbes and the degradation of organic compounds dissolved in water(especially for direct exposure rather than indirect exposure)using a hybrid plasma torch with an electrical power of 125 kW(500 V–250 A)producing a high-temperature(10 000 K–19 000 K)plasma jet with a maximum gas consumption of 28 mg s^-1.

文摘The degradations of hexazinone and aldicarb by direct ozonation combined an advanced oxidation process( AOP) of O3/H2O2 were investigated in this study focusing on the oxidation mechanism by identifying the hydrogen peroxide consumption during the oxidation process of the two chemicals. The results showed that H2O2 could enhance the removal rate of the triazine herbicide hexazinone,and it was consumed along with the variation of removal rate in the light of different pH levels. The addition of H2O2 contributed little to the removal of the thiocarbamate herbicide aldicarb and H2O2 content kept constantly throughout the degradation process. Tert-butyl alcohol( TBA) effectively scavenged the ·OH radical for hexazinone,but had no effect on the removal rate of aldicarb. Aldicarb removal was mainly attributed to direct ozonation molecule in both O3( 97.00%) and O3/H2O2( 96.76%)systems. Moreover,sole O3 could hardly oxidize hexazinone whereas·OH radicals contribute respective 74.70% and 97.50% of removal in O3 system and O3/H2O2 AOP. All of these findings suggest that the mechanism of ·OH radical generation and the chain reaction in O3/H2O2 AOP should be further discussed.
文摘Shear logs,also known as shear velocity logs,are used for various types of seismic analysis,such as determining the relationship between amplitude variation with offset(AVO)and interpreting multiple types of seismic data.This log is an important tool for analyzing the properties of rocks and interpreting seismic data to identify potential areas of oil and gas reserves.However,these logs are often not collected due to cost constraints or poor borehole conditions possibly leading to poor data quality,though there are various approaches in practice for estimating shear wave velocity.In this study,a detailed review of the recent advances in the various techniques used to measure shear wave(S-wave)velocity is carried out.These techniques include direct and indirect measurement,determination of empirical relationships between S-wave velocity and other parameters,machine learning,and rock physics models.Therefore,this study creates a collection of employed techniques,enhancing the existing knowledge of this significant topic and offering a progressive approach for practical implementation in the field.

文摘Since the early 1990s, China has become the largest destination of Japanese foreign direct investment (FDI). Observing this trend, the authors analyzed whether Japanese FDI did promote exports from China to the rest of the world, and more importantly, whether this is a strategy adopted by Japanese multinationals to penetrate not only the Chinese market but also the global market. This analysis takes into account not only the direct effects of FDI on exports, but also the indirect effects, by examining the mediating role of export oriented Japanese FDI in China from 1998 to 2007 through panel analysis. The study contributes to the conceptual framework of indirect relationship among the macroeconomic variables, FDI and exports provides some insights into the strategy of export oriented Japanese FDI in creating a win-win platform for Japan and China.
文摘The nonlinear absorption properties of direct (GaN) and indirect (CdI2) band gap crystals have been studied by using an open aperture Z-scan technique under fundamental (1064 nm) and frequency doubled (532 nm) wavelength respectively with 10 ns or 60 ps pulse durations. Direct band gap crystal exhibits two and three photon absorption at all input irradiances. On the other hand, at low input irradiance the indirect band gap crystal exhibits saturable absorption (SA). At higher input irradiances two and three photon absorption becomes dominant. A monotonic increase of the nonlinear absorption coefficients with increasing laser pulse duration from 60 ps to 10 ns is observed for GaN and CdI2 crystals.
文摘Biomass energy conversion can be done in several ways-combustion, gasification, pyrolysis or anaerobic fermentation (biogas production). Each of these technologies has certain advantages and disadvantages from the point of view of energy generation for final consumption. In parallel, each of them has certain environmental impact in terms of emissions. The proposed EU directive prefers utilization of primary energy sources by application of highly efficient co-generation. Such change in assessment of energy effectiveness also means a completely new approach in assessment of current technologies. This report presents a guide for optimization of biomass energy conversion technologies assuming application of this new condition and minimal environmental impact. Specific values of emissions from particular technologies are used for the evaluation.
