The adjustable channel filter array in the receiver is used to suppress adjacent channel interference in televisions signal coexistence environments. The low noise amplifier (LNA) with wide dynamic range and high linearity is employed to enhance the anti-interference competence of the zero-IF receiver. Meanwhile, the high linearity power amplifier (PA) .is used to promote the adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) characteristic of the direct up-conversion transmitter. The measured error vector magnitude (EVM) results show that the anti-interference competence of the zero-IF receiver is dramatically enhanced by employing a channel filter array. The measured ACPR of the direct up-conversion transmitter is -47. 98 dBc on the channel centered at 714 MHz when the output power is 27 dBm.展开更多

This study aims to explore the relationships between communication, cognitive failure, and unsafe behaviors in order to clarify those mechanics. We defined communication as management input, worker cognitive failure as process, and actual behaviors as management output. We collected data from three Chinese steel construction crews and utilized experience/behavior sampling and questionnaire surveys to collect project information. Bivariate statistical analyses were conducted to explain how communication affected unsafe behavior. The results showed that, rather than communication frequency, management communication style was significantly related to worker cognitive failure;specifically, communication style was related to perception of convenience and self-capacity, which could be upstream factors explaining unsafe behavior at the construction jobsite. This research provided statistical evidence supporting the hypothesized association among safety communication, cognitive failure, and behavior, bridging the missing gaps of previous research. Nonetheless, readers should interpret the results cautiously because of the limitations listed as follows. First, sample size is relatively small. In addition, crew turnover may mediate the relationship between communication and safe behaviors therefore, the impact of communication on cognitive failure can be blurred and a longitudinal study on specific crews working on the same job site could be used to evaluate it. Third, future research should focus on communication style, as it directly relates to the human cognitions that affect unsafe behavior at construction sites.展开更多

In these networks, the strength of the transmitted/received signals varies due to jamming, multipath propagation, and the changing distance among nodes. High speeds cause another problem, Doppler Effect, which produces a shifting of the central frequency of the signal at the receiver. In this paper we discuss a modular system based on cognitive to enhance the reliability of UAS networks.展开更多

The authors evaluated 20 patients over 18 years of age HIV-1 positive; native speakers of Spanish; without alterations in language acquisition, reading, writing or history of neurological or psychiatric disease; patients undergoing antiretroviral treatment (not efavirenz) with viral load 〉 50 copies/mL, and patients not undergoing treatment. Their verbal communication abilities were evaluated with Protocol MEC. The results demonstrate that some of the skills evaluated are more vulnerable in HIV-1 patients. The tasks that showed the most frequent and systematic deficits among patients were discourse-level tasks and those that evaluate lexical semantic processing. The authors compared patients' performances with the "cut-off'. The scores were turned into score Z. A hierarchic cluster analysis was carried out to identify subgroups with different profiles according to the areas that were affected. The detection of communication deficit profiles in HIV-1 patients would be the starting point for the identification of disorders and the admission of the patients to health care system. This research constitutes an initial approach towards the identification of clinical profiles among HIV-1 patients.展开更多

To overcome these problems, two cooperative compressive spectrum sensing( CCSS) schemes are proposed for different scenarios( with and without channel state information). To strengthen collaboration among secondary users( SUs),cognitive central node( CCN) is provided to collect data from SUs. Thus, the proposed schemes can obtain spatial diversity gains and exploit joint sparse structure to improve the performance of spectrum sensing. Since the channel occupancy is sparse,we formulate the spectrum sensing problems into sparse vector recovery problems, and then present two CCSS algorithms based on path-wise coordinate optimization( PCO) and multi-task Bayesian compressive sensing( MT-BCS),respectively.Simulation results corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed methods in detecting the spectrum holes in underwater acoustic environment.展开更多

Since its implementation in 2013, China has ushered in a significant change in communication ideas and approaches. This strategy also enriches the communication genres of "China's stories" and more importantly enhances its communication effect. In this context, it is necessary to understand and study the significance of this strategic practice, assess the value realization of "China's stories" during the communication process, and thereby establish a basis for future communication of more "China's stories." Based on the factors of relevance theory, this paper analyzes the ideas of and approaches to effective communication of "China's stories" and proposes corresponding strategies.展开更多

The performance of the three detection techniques is measuredusing the parameters of Probability of Detection (PD), Probability of False Alarms (Pfa), Probability of MissedDetection (Pmd), sensing time and throughput at low power or low SNR. The results show that there is a significantimprovement via the HFDI technique for all the parameters.

文摘Integrated sensing and communication(ISAC)is regarded as a recent advanced technology, which is expected to realize the dual functions of sensing and communication simultaneously in one system.Nevertheless,it still faces the challenges of the information security and transmission robustness caused by the openness of wireless channel, especially under antagonistic environment.Hence, this article develops a generalized framework, named cognitive joint jamming, sensing and communication(cognitive J2SAC),to empower the current sensing/communication/jamming system with a“brain”for realizing precise sensing, reliable communication and effective jamming under antagonistic environment.Three kinds of gains can be captured by cognitive J2SAC,including integrated gain, cooperative gain and cognitive gain. Moreover,we highlight the enabling mechanism among jamming, sensing, and communication,as well as illustrating several typical use cases of cognitive J2SAC.Furthermore,several key enabled technologies are analyzed and a typical sensing enhance integrated communication and jamming case study is discussed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.Last but not the least, the future directions are listed before concluding this article.Integrated sensing and communication(ISAC)is regarded as a recent advanced technology, which is expected to realize the dual functions of sensing and communication simultaneously in one system.Nevertheless,it still faces the challenges of the information security and transmission robustness caused by the openness of wireless channel, especially under antagonistic environment.Hence, this article develops a generalized framework, named cognitive joint jamming, sensing and communication(cognitive J2SAC),to empower the current sensing/communication/jamming system with a“brain”for realizing precise sensing, reliable communication and effective jamming under antagonistic environment.Three kinds of gains can be captured by cognitive J2SAC,including integrated gain, cooperative gain and cognitive gain. Moreover,we highlight the enabling mechanism among jamming, sensing, and communication,as well as illustrating several typical use cases of cognitive J2SAC.Furthermore,several key enabled technologies are analyzed and a typical sensing enhance integrated communication and jamming case study is discussed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.Last but not the least, the future directions are listed before concluding this article.
文摘Unmanned Aircraft System networks are a special type of networks where high speeds of the nodes, long distances and radio spectrum scarcity pose a number of challenges. In these networks, the strength of the transmitted/received signals varies due to jamming, multipath propagation, and the changing distance among nodes. High speeds cause another problem, Doppler Effect, which produces a shifting of the central frequency of the signal at the receiver. In this paper we discuss a modular system based on cognitive to enhance the reliability of UAS networks.
文摘The aims were: (1) to study verbal communication skills presenting with verbal communication deficits by applying the MEC in HIV-1 patients, and (2) to analyze the proportion of patients Protocol. This research constitutes an initial approach towards the identification of clinical profiles among HIV-1 patients.

文摘Because of the specific of underwater acoustic channel, spectrum sensing entails many difficulties in cognitive underwater acoustic communication( CUAC) networks, such as severe frequency-dependent attenuation and low signal-to-noise ratios. Since the channel occupancy is sparse,we formulate the spectrum sensing problems into sparse vector recovery problems, and then present two CCSS algorithms based on path-wise coordinate optimization( PCO) and multi-task Bayesian compressive sensing( MT-BCS),respectively.Simulation results corroborate the effectiveness of the proposed methods in detecting the spectrum holes in underwater acoustic environment.

文摘Telling the story of China and transmitting the voice of China has become a strategy to promote the national image and cultural soft power of China. Since its implementation in 2013, China has ushered in a significant change in communication ideas and approaches. This strategy also enriches the communication genres of "China's stories" and more importantly enhances its communication effect. In this context, it is necessary to understand and study the significance of this strategic practice, assess the value realization of "China's stories" during the communication process, and thereby establish a basis for future communication of more "China's stories." Based on the factors of relevance theory, this paper analyzes the ideas of and approaches to effective communication of "China's stories" and proposes corresponding strategies.

文摘A cognitive radio transmitted reference ultra-wideband(CR-TR-UWB) system is proposed to improve the performance of TR-UWB systems with narrowband interference(NBI) from primary users(PU).The transmitter of the CR-TR-UWB system detects the band of PU,and then sends prolate spheroidal wave functions(PSWF) pulses with the same limited band as PU's to reduce interference with PU.The receiver uses a notch filter before autocorrelation to eliminate NBI from PU.The simulation results show that the bit error rate(BER) performance of the CR-TR-UWB system is close to that of TR-UWB systems without NBI when the system is interfered by single or double NBIs with a signal to interference ratio(SIR) of 0 dB,and if the signal to noise ratio(SNR) is 10 dB and the SIR varies from-20 to 10 dB,BER performance varies no more than an order of magnitude. The system has excellent resistance to NBI,strong robustness BER performance at different SNRs,and smaller interference with the same frequency band PU.

文摘High frequency(HF) communication, commonly covering frequency range between 3 and 30 MHz, is an important wireless communication paradigm to offer over-thehorizon or even global communications with ranges up to thousands of kilometers via skywave propagation with ionospheric refraction. It has widespread applications in fields such as emergency communications in disaster areas, remote communications with aircrafts or ships and non-light-of-the-sight military operations. This tutorial article overviews the history of HF communication, demystifies the recent advances, and provides a preview of the next few years, which the authors believe will see fruitful outputs towards wideband, intelligent and integrated HF communications. Specifically, we first present brief preliminaries on the unique features of HF communications to facilitate general readers in the communication community. Then, we provide a historical review to show the technical evolution on the three generations of HF communication systems. Further, we highlight the key challenges and research directions. We hope that this article will stimulate more interests in addressing the technical challenges on the research and development of future HF radio communication systems.
