Electrochemical tests show that the fine-grained samples after more ECAP passes have higher corrosion current densities(Jcorr) in the polarization curves, lower charge-transfer resistance(Rt) values in the EIS plots. The severe plastic deformation decreases the alloy corrosion resistance besides the well-known strengthening and toughening. Scanning Kelvin probe(SKP) measurement shows that the anodic and cathode sites are homogeneously distributed on the surface of the fine-grained alloy, which inhibits localized corrosion. The SKP potential, having linear relationship with the corrosion potential(φcorr), decreases with increasing the ECAP pass. Furthermore, the post-ECAP aging can slightly improve the corrosion resistance of the fine-grained ZK60 Mg alloy and enhance the comprehensive performances, due to the stress relief and uniform distribution of second-phase particles.展开更多

The sample was observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X–ray spectroscopy and X–ray diffraction. The results show that during the hot pressing process, W atoms dissolve substantially into the MoxC crystal lattices; whilst, the reverse dissolution of Mo atoms into the WC crystal lattices takes place. Consequently, the main phase and binder phase structure are formed. The phase compositions of the main phase and binder phase are a WC-based solid solution containing Mo and a Mo2C-based solid solution containing W, respectively. The isotropic dissolution and precipitation of W and Mo atoms do not result in substantial carbide coarsening. The mechanism for the densification was discussed.展开更多

文摘The Mg-7Gd-4Y-2Zn-0.5Zr alloy chips were successfully recycled through isothermal sintering and equal channel angular pressing(ECAP).The mechanical properties and microstructure evolution of samples during the recycling process were studied in detail. The eutectic phases in the as-cast alloy transform into long period-stacking ordered(LPSO)phases after homogenization, which can improve the plasticity of the material. After isothermal sintering, the density of the sample is lower than that of the homogenized sample, and oxide films are formed adjacent to the bonding interface of the metal chips.Hence, the plasticity of the sintered sample is poor.Dense samples are fabricated after ECAP.Although the grains are not refined compared to the sintered sample, the microstructure becomes more uniform due to recrystallization.Fiber interdendritic LPSO phase and kinked 14H-LPSO phase are formed in the alloy due to the shear deformation during the ECAP process, which improves the strength and plasticity of the sample significantly.Furthermore, the basal texture is weakened due to the Bc route of the ECAP process, which can increase the Schmid factor of the basal slip system and improve the elongation of the sample. After 2 ECAP passes, the fully densified recycled billet shows superior mechanical properties with an ultimate tensile strength of 307.1 MPa and elongation of 11.1%.

文摘Flax(Linum usitatissimum L.)is a versatile crop and its seeds are a major source of unsaturated fatty acids.Stearoyl-acyl carrier protein desaturase(SAD)is a dehydrogenase enzyme that plays a key role in oleic acid biosynthesis as well as responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. However, the function of SAD orthologs from L.usitatissimum has not been assessed. Here,we found that two LuSAD genes,LuSAD1 and LuSAD2,are present in the genome of L.usitatissimum cultivar‘Longya 10’.Heterogeneous expression of either LuSAD1 or LuSAD2 in Arabidopsis thaliana resulted in higher contents of total fatty acids and oleic acid in the seeds.Interestingly, ectopic expression of LuSAD2 in A.thaliana caused altered plant architecture.Similarly, the overexpression of either LuSAD1 or LuSAD2 in Brassica napus also resulted in increased contents of total fatty acids and oleic acid in the seeds.Furthermore,we demonstrated that either LuSAD1 or LuSAD2 enhances seedling resistance to cold and drought stresses by improving antioxidant enzyme activity and nonenzymatic antioxidant levels,as well as reducing membrane damage. These findings not only broaden our knowledge of the LuSAD functions in plants, but also offer promising targets for improving the quantity and quality of oil,and the abiotic stress tolerance of oil-producing crops, through molecular manipulation.

文摘Loquat(Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.),a rare fruit native to China, has a long history of cultivation in China.Low temperature is the key factor restricting loquat growth and severely affects yield.Low temperature induces the regeneration and metabolism of reduced glutathione(GSH)to alleviate stress damage via the participation of glu-tathione S-transferases(GSTs)in plants. In this study,16 GSTs were identified from the loquat genome according to their protein sequence similarity with Arabidopsis GSTs.On the basis of domain characteristics and phyloge-netic analysis of AtGSTs,these EjGSTs can be divided into 4 subclasses:Phi,Theta,Tau and Zeta. The basic prop-erties,subcellular localization, structures, motifs, chromosomal distribution and collinearity of the EjGST proteins or genes were further analyzed.Tandem and segmental gene duplications play pivotal roles in EjGST expansion.Cis-elements that respond to various hormones and stresses, especially those associated with low-temperature responsiveness, were predicted to be present in the promoters of EjGSTs.Moreover, analysis of gene expression profiles revealed that 9 of 16 EjGSTs may be involved in the low-temperature responsiveness of loquat leaves. In agriculture,5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA),a potential multifunctional plant growth regulator, can improve the stress response of plants.Among the 9 low-temperature-responsive EjGSTs,the expression of EjGSTU1 and EjGSTF1 significantly differed under cold stress in response to exogenous 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA)pretreat-ment.The remarkable increase in GST activity and GSH/GSSG ratio reflected the increase in the cold response ability of loquat plants caused by exogenous ALA,thereby alleviating H2O2 accumulation and membrane lipid preoxidation.Overall, this study provides an initial exploration of the cold tolerance function of GSTs in loquat, offering a theoretical foundation for the development of cold-resistant loquat cultivars and new antifreeze agents.

文摘Metal matrix composites tiles based on Ti-6Al-4V(Ti64)alloy,reinforced with 10,20,and 40(vol%)of either TiC or TiB particles were made using press-and-sinter blended elemental powder metallurgy(BEPM)and then bonded together into 3-layer laminated plates using hot isostatic pressing(HIP).The laminates were ballistically tested and demonstrated superior performance. The microstructure and properties of the laminates were analyzed to determine the effect of the BEPM and HIP processing on the ballistic properties of the layered plates. The effect of porosity in sintered composites on further diffusion bonding of the plates during HIP is analyzed to understand the bonding features at the interfaces between different adjacent layers in the laminate.Exceptional ballistic performance of fabricated structures was explained by a significant reduction in the residual porosity of the BEPM products by their additional processing using HIP,which provides an unprecedented increase in the hardness of the layered composites. It is argued that the combination of the used two technologies,BEPM and HIP is principally complimentary for the materials in question with the abilities to solve the essential problems of each used individually.
文摘Among the various Severe Plastic Deformation(SPD)processes,Equal Channel Angular Pressing(ECAP)is one of the most applicable one which improves strength and ductility due to grain refinement and suitable texture development. In this study, cold rolling were carried out on the 4 pass ECAPed(in route A and C)strip shaped specimens of AZ31 magnesium alloy to investigate the ECAP effects on the roll-ability.Results showed that reduction in area which can be concerned as an index for roll-ability increased after ECAP.It was also seen that ECAP in route C enhanced roll-ability more than route A.
文摘(Gd,Lu)_(2)O_(3)∶Eu scintillation ceramics have promising applications in the high-energy X-ray imaging.Eu0.1Gd0.6Lu1.3O3 nano-powders with pure phase were prepared from the precursor calcined at 1050℃for 4 h by the co-precipitation method.Using the synthesized nano-powders as initial material,Eu_(0.1)Gd_(0.6)Lu_(1.3)O_(3)ceramics were fabri-cated by vacuum pre-sintering at different temperatures for 2 h and hot isostatic pressing(HIP)at 1750℃for 3 h in ar-gon.The influence of pre-sintering temperature on the microstructure, optical and luminescence properties was investi-gated.The Eu_(0.1)Gd_(0.6)Lu_(1.3)O_(3)ceramics pre-sintered at 1625℃for 2 h combined with HIP post-treatment show the high-est in-line transmittance of 75.2%at 611 nm.The photoluminescence(PL)and X-ray excited luminescence(XEL)spectra of the Eu_(0.1)Gd_(0.6)Lu_(1.3)O_(3)transparent ceramics demonstrate a strong red emission peak at 611 nm due to the^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2) transition of Eu^(3+).The PL,PLE and XEL intensities of the HIP post-treated Eu_(0.1)Gd_(0.6)Lu_(1.3)O_(3)ceramics show a trend of first ascending and then descending with the increase of pre-sintering temperature. The thermally stimulated lumines-cence(TSL)curve of the HIP post-treated Eu_(0.1)Gd_(0.6)Lu_(1.3)O_(3)ceramics presents one high peak at 178 K and two peaks with lower intensities at 253 K and 320 K.The peak at 320 K may be related to oxygen vacancies, and the lumines-cence peak at 178 K is related to defects caused by the valence state changes of Eu^(3+)ions.

文摘Al-doped ZnO (AZO) target was prepared by hot pressing using ZnO and Al2O3 powder in mass ratio of 98:2.The effects of hot pressing conditions including temperature, pressure and preserving time on relative density were investigated.Pore evolution and phase structure change during densification process were studied. The results show that AZO target with super high relative density of 99% was prepared by two-stage hot pressing method under pressure of 35MPa,temperature of 1 050℃ and 1 150℃ with preserving time of 1 h,respectively. At temperature around 1 050℃,the number of isolated pore wasminimum. At temperature lower than 900℃,there existed Al2O3 phase. At temperature higher than 1 000℃,ZnAl2O4 phase was generated and its content was increased with temperature increasing.Hot pressing method had the advantage over pressureless sintering that the content of ZnAl2O4 was lower and sintering temperature could be also lower. With increasing the hot pressing temperature and preserving time, the electric resistivity of AZO target decreased greatly.A low resistivity of 3 10-3 cm was achieved under the temperature of 1 100℃,pressure of 35MPa and preserving time of 10 h.

文摘Commercial ZK60 Mg alloy was processed by multi-pass equal-channel angular pressing(ECAP) and subsequent aging to investigate the effect of grain refinement and second-phase redistribution on its corrosion behavior. Furthermore, the post-ECAP aging can slightly improve the corrosion resistance of the fine-grained ZK60 Mg alloy and enhance the comprehensive performances, due to the stress relief and uniform distribution of second-phase particles.

文摘In comparison with the conventional equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) process,a comprehensive study of influence of twist extrusion(TE) process on consolidating pure aluminum powder in tubes(PITs) by equal channel angular pressing and torsion(ECAPT) was conducted via three-dimensional(3D) finite element simulation, experimental investigation and theoretical analysis.Simulation results revealed that during the consolidation of aluminum powder particles by ECAPT,TE process played a significant role of back pressure.Due to the torsional shear and high hydrostatic pressure exerted by twist channel, both the magnitude and homogeneity of the effective strain were increased markedly. After one pass of ECAPT process using a square channel with an inner angle of 90° and a twist slope angle of 36.5° at 200℃,commercial pure aluminum powder particles were successfully consolidated to nearly full density.Simulation and experimental results showed good agreement. In the microstructure observations, grains were greatly refined. At the same time, porosities were effectively eliminated by shrinking in size and breaking into small ones.Microhardness test indicated that strain distribution of ECAPT-processed billet was more homogeneous with respect to the ECAP-processed one.All these improvements may be attributed to the extreme intense shear strain induced during ECAPT and the increase in self-diffusion coefficient of aluminum due to the back pressure exerted by TE process.

文摘WC-6MoxC-0.47Cr3C2-0.28VC binderless carbide was prepared by hot pressing (1700 °C, 20 MPa). The mechanism for the densification was discussed.
文摘Microstructure evolution and texture development and their effects on mechanical properties of a Mg-Gd-Y-Zr alloy during equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) were investigated. It is found that the microstructure is still inhomogeneous after four passes, and two zones, namely the fine grain zone(FGZ) and the coarse grain zone(CGZ) are formed. The grain refinement occurs mainly by particle-stimulated nucleation(PSN) mechanism, which led to a more random texture after four passes of ECAP.In the ECAP-processed alloy, the strength did not increase while the ductility was enhanced dramatically compared with the as-received condition. The change of ductility of this alloy was discussed in terms of texture and second phase particles.

文摘Laboratory-scale carbon anodes were produced by a new method of high temperature mould pressing, and their physico-chemical properties were studied. The influence of mould pressing conditions and coal pitch addition on the bulk density, crushing strength, and oxidation resistance was analyzed. The mierostructure of carbon anodes was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the mechanism of producing carbon anodes by high-temperature mould pressing was analyzed. The results show that when the anodes are produced by high-temperature mould pressing, coal pitch can expand into the coke particles and fill the pores inside the particles, which is beneficial for improving the quality of prebaked anodes. The bulk density of carbon anodes is 1.64-1.66 g/cm3, which is 0.08-0.12 g/cm3 higher than that of industrial anodes, and the oxidation resistance of carbon anodes is also significantly improved.

文摘Cu50Zr40Ti10 bulk amorphous alloys were fabricated by hot pressing gas-atomized Cu50Zr40Ti10 amorphous powder under different consolidation conditions without vacuum and inert gas protection. The consolidation conditions of the Cu50Zr40Ti10 amorphous powder were investigated based on an L9(34) orthogonal design. The compression strength and strain limit of the Cu50Zr40Ti10 bulk amorphous alloys can reach up to 1090.4 MPa and 11.9 %, respectively. The consolidation pressure significantly influences the strain limit and compression strength of the compact. But the mechanical properties are not significantly influenced by the consolidation temperature. In addition, the preforming pressure significantly influences not the compression strength but the strain limit. The optimum consolidation condition for the Cu50Zr40Ti10 amorphous powder is first precompacted under the pressure of 150 MPa, and then consolidated under the pressure of 450 MPa and the temperature of 380 °C.
