Research on the Content and Implementation Measures of College English Multiple Dimensional Teaching

Based on the reality of college English teaching, this paper puts forward the concept of three-dimensional teaching in college English. Combined with the application of modern technology, this paper discusses the system of college English teaching curriculum, the modernization of teaching content, and the modernization of teaching methods under the network environment. The teaching methods are diversified, and the content of college English teaching reform is discussed in detail. The combination of the leading role of teachers and the main role of students is proposed.

The summary of experience lesson is made and teaching suggestions are put forward, which makes a constructive effect on English newspaper reading development in English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges.

A Case Study of an Experienced University EFL Teacher’s Use of POA Teaching Materials

Although research on teaching materials use has important implications for materials development,little literature examines how teachers actually use materials in the classroom.The present study,taking the theoretical framework for using and evaluating Production-Oriented Approach(POA)teaching materials(Wen,2017),explores the procedure and the rationale of an experienced Chinese university EFL teacher’s use of POA teaching materials.Multiple methods were employed in data collection,including classroom observations,teacher interviews,the teacher’s lesson plans,and PowerPoints,as well as students’written and oral products.Data analysis showed that the teacher followed a three-phase process of materials use.Before class,teaching objectives were set,materials were selected,adapted,and then transformed into teaching activities.During class,the teaching activities were implemented with the materials.After class,the effectiveness of using the materials was assessed.The study revealed that the teacher played an active role in practicing the essential POA principles of“productive-objectives-determined”and“input-in-service-to-output”in the entire process of material use.

This paper,based on the knowledge map drawn by the visualized analysis of literatures volume, authors, research institutions,and keywords clustering, analyzes the current research status and hotspots in the compilation of China’s CollegeEnglish textbooks.

Comparative Analysis of New Horizon College English and Experiencing English

College English plays a vital role in English teaching in China. However, any teaching is inseparable from the assistance of teaching material. Among the various English teaching materials currently, what are most often used are Experiencing English and New Horizon College English. 高职公共英语课堂任务型教学设计探究

在高职公共英语课堂教学中,任务型教学对于提高语言交际能力具有重要的现实意义。课堂教学中任务的设计是影响任务教学型成效的关键因素。教学任务包括任务情境、使用的语言材料和人物构架三个因素。教学任务设计包括任务内容建构的依据、任务内容的结构、任务内容活动方式等因素。任务设计需根据学生认知心理顺序,与典型的生活或工作顺序整合,形成行动顺序。每个任务都应实现知识与能力的融合。任务顺序和学生认知顺序都应自然形成。掌握语言技能、习得语言知识,让学生在语言实际应用(实践)中达到融合,从而构建属于自己的学习经验,以提高语言应用能力。

课程思政视域下高职公共英语活页式教材开发要点

才者,德之资也;德者,才之帅也。在新形势下,高职院校应当将立德树人作为教育任务,积极开发公共英语活页式教材,依托公共英语活页式教材教育学生,升华学生思想,使学生形成科学的价值观,提高学生对思想价值观念的辨别能力,防止学生被外来思想文化所冲击、影响。该文首先介绍课程思政概念、活页式教材概念,为后续研究提供理论指导,其次分析高职公共英语活页式教材开发的必要性,再次指出课程思政视域下高职公共英语活页式教材开发要点,最后提出教材开发策略,有助于提高公共英语活页式教材开发质量。

大学英语写作教师的教材观——基于六位教师的个案研究

本研究采用个案分析的方法探讨了六名大学英语写作教师的教材观及其影响因素。通过分析访谈、课堂观察和教学资料等数据,发现大学英语写作教师在教学中采取了以教科书为主、其他教学资料为辅的教材使用策略,把教材作为组织教学的工具和专业发展的媒介,具备了多模态、多样化、个性化的新型教材观。其中的影响因素包括课程目标、学生、英语测试、教师学习共同体、教师工作和学习经历等教学环境和教师个人因素等。研究结果对大学英语写作教材编写、写作教师发展具有一定的启示意义。

华东高校英语教材使用现状、问题及规划建议

本文通过问卷调查、访谈等方法,调研华东地区17所高校英语教材编用现状,发现与英语专业学生相比,非英语专业学生对大学英语教材比较满意,这与许多学校采用分层教学,统编教材与补充材料并用有关。但各个院校的自编教材比较少,自编教材没有对接学校的国际办学定位,不够重视教材评价研究与实践,各类教材培训范围比较小。由此笔者从教材使用培训、教材评价和校本教材规划三个方面提出建议,旨在探索适应大学英语课程转型期的教材发展与规划思路。

开设大学英语选修课的探索和实践

随着高校课程改革的不断深入,大学英语选修课在教学中的地位和作用也越来越受到重视,而且课程建设发展迅速。浙江科技学院大学英语部从课程设置、课程教学管理、教材、教学团队建设4个方面对选修课程进行了探索,认为选修课将培养语言技能与学习相关领域的知识结合起来,可提高学生的语言水平;同时也提出了课程实践过程中存在的一些问题及解决的办法,以期达到选修课在大学英语教学中切实发挥作用的目的。
