In today’s rapidly changing society,higher education is facing an urgent need to cultivate talents with innovative spirit and entrepreneurial ability.As the requirement of adapting to the development of the era,innovation and entrepreneurship education has gradually become one of the important directions of teaching reform in colleges and universities.This article aims to explore its role and significance in improving the quality of education,cultivating students’comprehensive quality,and promoting social and economic development through in-depth research on the teaching reform practice in colleges and universities based on innovation and entrepreneurship education.The research will focus on the practical cases of innovation and entrepreneurship education in different universities,combining qualitative and quantitative research methods,from multiple dimensions such as curriculum design,teaching mode,and practice platform construction,to comprehensively analyze the scope and methods of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the teaching reform of universities,in order to provide useful guidelines for the reform of higher education.

On Problems in College English Teaching Reform on the Basis of Cloud Computing Assisted Instruction

Cloud Computing Assisted Instruction shows incomparable advantages over the traditional language teaching, but meanwhile, it exists some major problems, for instance, the information technology is omnipotent, information input is too excessive and teachers' role is considerably weakened. Research on the Influencing Factors and Countermeasures of Independent College Enrollment in the New Era

With the deepening of the reform process of the new college entrance examination,the enrollment of Independent Colleges in the new period is facing greater difficulties and challenges.Meanwhile,with the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic spreading in 2020 and the urgent demand of Independent Colleges'transformation work,enrollment is full of uncertainty.Based on this,the purpose of this study is to deeply analyze the plight,current situation and related research deficiencies of independent college enrollment work in the new period,and put forward the ways and direction of improvement,hoping to provide some reference for the enrollment work in the transition of independent college.

A Motivation Perspective on College Admission Reform in Shanghai:The Effect of Providing More Choices and Multiple Evaluation Criteria

Purpose:This study offered insights into how Chinese college admission reform brought about school changes and influenced students'motivation and learning behaviors.Design/Approach/Methods:Four classes in one public high school in the Shanghai Municipality were observed in their homeroom activities and during class breaks.Students and teachers were purposively selected and interviewed.Findings:Due to the more choices on national college entrance examination-examined subjects,career development courses and internships were offered to give students guidance on subject selection.A class shifting system was adopted.In response to the comprehensive evaluation criteria,more free time and club activities were offered so that students can develop their own interests in nonacademic areas.While the reform promoted some students'intrinsic motivation and mastery goals-that is,students reported their intention to develop interests and improve competences-some students made strategic decisions(e.g.,avoiding choosing Physics,intensive preparation,and extracurricular academic tutoring)to maximize college admission possibilities at the cost of ignoring their personal interests.

The Dynamics and Macro Strategy of Structural Reform in Higher Education in China:Case Study of Two Critical Periods(1949-1960 and 1998-2009)

The development of the higher education system in China has experienced huge changes alongside the transitions in the socio-economic milieu since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.Among the major structural transformations of higher education,the reform during the 1950s and the one from 1998 to 2009 can be seen as two typical cases and manifestations of macro strategy modulation.Both reforms were driven by the need of strengthening and empowering the nation as a whole through the advancement of higher education.But the 1950s reforms featured the perpetuation of state control,highly centralized resource allocation,and authoritarian administration,while the 1998-2009 period reflected the transition from a planned to a market economy in higher education,manifested in an increased weight given to market forces,the enlarged autonomy of higher education institutions(HEIs)and expanded government guidance instead of mere state control.The paper will take the two periods as cases to show why and how the reforms were formulated and what directions they are leading towards.

Tuition Fees for Higher Education and Intergenerational Mobility in China

This paper studies the impact of an increase in higher education tuition on intergenerational mobility in China.We develop a theoretical model for the parental decision about the investment on education of children to illustrate the impact from the perspective of borrowing constraint.We consider the Chinese college tuition and subsidy reform around 1986 as a quasi-natural experiment for identifying the policy effect of the reform on intergenerational educational mobility by using the data from the census of 2000 and the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS).We find that an increase in the education burden induced by the reform of college tuition has reduced intergenerational educational mobility,and it is more noticeable in regions with a relatively higher increment in the tuition fee.Our results are robust with consideration of the co-residence bias,government investment in elementary education,and the higher education expansion.
