College students, especially freshmen, are facing a large workload and a relatively flexible learning atmosphere compared with their experience in high school. Self-regulation seems to be an important component in acquiring academic achievement for college students. In other words, students who can control their learning processes effectively are characterized as self-regulated learners(Schunk & Zimmerman 1994). Many people believe that everyone could be self-regulated learner,but what differentiates them most is the quality of their self-regulation( as cited in Cohen 2012). Therefore, understanding the role of self-regulation and how to manage students' learning experiences in order to improve their self-regulation ability are significant.展开更多
