In certain environments and under some conditions, the video images taken by the intelligent mobile video phones seem dark, and the colors are not bright or saturated enough.This paper presents an adaptive method to enhance the video image brightness visualization and the color performance depending on the certain hardware property and function parameters. The experimental results prove that this method can enhance the colors and the contrast of the video images, based on the estimated quality feature values of each frame, without using the extra Digital Signal Processor (DSP). 展开更多

A 3D temperature field reconstruction method using the colored background oriented schlieren(CBOS)method is proposed to address image blurring due to the different refractive index of the multi-wavelength light and significant errors produced when the traditional background oriented schlieren(BOS)method is applied to high-temperature gas.First,the traditional method is employed to reconstruct the non-uniform 3D temperature field.Second,the CBOS method is applied to correct the distortion.Then,by analyzing the correlation coefficient among different color points of the colored background pattern,the non-uniform temperature field is reconstructed much more accurately.Finally,the experimental results are verified by applying the Runge-Kutta ray-tracing method and the thermocouple contact measurement method.The maximum average temperature error of the CBOS-reconstructed temperature field is 12.92°C,compared with the thermocouples.Therefore,an accurate three-dimensional reconstruction of the temperature field can be achieved by the proposed method effectively. 展开更多

Oximetry is a method for measuring the oxygen saturation of haemoglobin in blood. Particularly, retinal oximetry based in the measurement of oxygen saturation in retinal vessels has acquired great interest to gather information on blood oxygenation from said vessels within inner and outer retina. Non-invasive spectrophotometric retinal oximetry has been studied for over five decades based on imaging spectroscopy. However, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an alternative to analyze the absorption difference between oxyhaemoglobin (HbO2) and deoxyhaemoglobin (Hb) in the retinal vessels and the choroidal structure. We propose in this paper an alternative process to manipulate conventional OCT images to evaluate changes in the relative haemoglobin oxygen saturation. Conventional OCT images from 570 nm and 600 nm in gray scale are converted to a corresponding color scale to be compared to the oxygenation information involved in the original gray scale OCT images. 展开更多

How to deal with colored noises of GOCE (Gravity field and steady - state Ocean Circulation Explorer) satellite has been the key to data processing. This paper focused on colored noises of GOCE gradient data and the frequency spectrum analysis. According to the analysis results, gravity field model of the optima] degrees 90-240 is given, which is recovered by COCE gradient data. This paper presents an iterative Wiener filtering method based on the gravity gradient invariants. By this method a degree-220 model was calculated from GOCE SGG (Satellite Gravity Gradient) data. The degrees above 90 of ITG2010 were taken as the prior gravity field model, replacing the low degree gravity field model calculated by GOCE orbit data. GOCE gradient colored noises was processed by Wiener filtering. Finally by Wiener filtering iterative calculation, the gravity field model was restored by space-wise harmonic analysis method. The results show that the model's accuracy matched well with the ESA's (European Space Agency) results by using the same data, 展开更多

The stochastic bifurcation of a generalized Duffing–van der Pol system with fractional derivative under color noise excitation is studied. Firstly, fractional derivative in a form of generalized integral with time-delay is approximated by a set of periodic functions. Based on this work, the stochastic averaging method is applied to obtain the FPK equation and the stationary probability density of the amplitude. After that, the critical parameter conditions of stochastic P-bifurcation are obtained based on the singularity theory. Different types of stationary probability densities of the amplitude are also obtained. The study finds that the change of noise intensity, fractional order, and correlation time will lead to the stochastic bifurcation. 展开更多

In this paper,molecular dynamics simulation was applied to synthesize a layered structural color from Konjac glucomannan(KGM) and the effect of particle diameter and temperature were investigated. A series of methods such as high voltage electric field treatment,the transfer matrix method and the CIE standard colorimetric system were simulated to obtain the chromaticity coordinates and to analyze the color changes of KGM particles. The results revealed that as the particle diameter increases,the structural color of KGM particles deflects towards the yellow wavelength within the visible spectrum; and as the reaction temperature rises,the structural color deflects towards the blue and violet wavelengths within the visible spectrum. 展开更多

The present work is concerned with the relationship of the different colors of NSE (non specific esterase) reaction product, in which alpha naphthyl acetate and diazotate of o dianisidine (Fast Blue B salt) were used as a substrate and a coupler respectively to describe the histochemical characteristics of NSE in chick embryonic mesonephros and metanephros. Our preliminary results throw light on the nature of NSE reaction produced colors, under light microscope, which were different in various sections for different air drying time length. The reaction product on the slices of the convoluted tubules of chick embryonic kidney was bright yellow after less than 30 min air drying time length, brown after 1.5~2 h air drying time length and black after more than 3 h of air drying. The color change process of NSE precipitates from bright yellow to black is progressive. The phenomennon has not been described previously. 展开更多

The proposed method uses RGB multiple bit planes comprising RGB binary-weighted computer-generated holograms with various light transmittanees. The object points of a given three-dimensional (3D) object are assigned to RGB nmltiple bit planes according to their RGB gradation levels. The RGB multiple bit planes are sequentially displayed in a tim-division-multiplexe- manner. Characteristics are detected using color sensing devices. Test results from both thermal simulation and robotic arc welding are regular and reproducible. The equi-luminance of color stimulus in normal subjects is characterized by L-cone and M-cone activation in retina. For the protanopes and deuternopes, only the activations of one relevant remaining cone type should be considered. The equi-luminance turning curve was established for the recorded visual evoked potentials (VEPs) of the luminance changes of the red and green color stimulus, and the position of the equi-luminance was used to define the kind and degree of color vision deficiencies. In the test of 47 volunteers we got the VEP traces and the equi-luminance turning curves, which was in accordance with the judgment by the pseudoisochromatic plate used in clinic. The method fulfills the objective and quantitative requirements in color vision deficiencies test. 展开更多

Technologies that can efficiently identify citrus diseases would assure fruit quality and safety and minimize losses for citrus industry.This research was aimed to investigate the potential of using color texture features for detecting citrus peel diseases.A color imaging system was developed to acquire RGB images from grapefruits with normal and five common diseased peel conditions(i.e.,canker,copper burn,greasy spot,melanose,and wind scar).A total of 39 image texture features were determined from the transformed hue(H),saturation(S),and intensity(I)region-of-interest images using the color co-occurrence method for each fruit sample.Algorithms for selecting useful texture features were developed based on a stepwise discriminant analysis,and 14,9,and 11 texture features were selected for three color combinations of HSI,HS,and I,respectively.Classification models were constructed using the reduced texture feature sets through a discriminant function based on a measure of the generalized squared distance.The model using 14 selected HSI texture features achieved the best classification accuracy(96.7%),which suggested that it would be best to use a reduced hue,saturation and intensity texture feature set to differentiate citrus peel diseases.Average classification accuracy and standard deviation were 96.0%and 2.3%,respectively,for a stability test of the classification model,indicating that the model is robust for classifying new fruit samples according to their peel conditions.This research demonstrated that color imaging and texture feature analysis could be used for classifying citrus peel diseases under the controlled laboratory lighting conditions. 展开更多

The morphology and distribution of residual austenite in the welded zone of 9% Cr/CrMoV dissimilar welded joint were observed by color metallographic method. Moreover, the details of the distribution, shape, length, length-to-width ratio, and the content of residual austenite in each welding layer were systematically characterized using Image-Pro Plus image analysis software. Different from the techniques such as X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer, and electron backscatter diffraction that only involve the content of residual austenite, color metallographic method can offer much more details of the residual austenite, including the location, shape, size, and content, helping evaluate the overall characteristics of the residual austenite produced in the weld. It is interesting that a large amount of block-like and film-like residual austenite was found in the root of each welding layer, while rare at the top. The area fraction of residual austenite located in this zone was approximately 7.5% compared with only 0.5% at the top. In addition, the average area, length, and length-to-width ratio of dispersed residual austenite were quantitatively evaluated to be (4.7 ± 0.6)μm2, (5.1 ±0.6) μm, and (1.1 ± 0.1) μm, respectively. This variety of residual austenite was resulted from the tempering effect by latter welding layer on the previous one and different cooling rates in these two regions during the welding process. 展开更多
