China’s Outward Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth in Developing Countries

The implementation of China’s open development strategy has unveiled a wave of outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)by Chinese companies,with global implications.Based on panel data from 146 developing countries from 2003 to 2017,we investigate the growth effects of China’s OFDI.We find that China’s OFDI has promoted significant economic growth in developing countries.Not only could China’s OFDI increase GDP per capita of a country in a short time but raise the country’s long-run equilibrium value as well.In addition,the growth effects of China’s OFDI were more significant for countries with weak governance,rich resource,and modest human capital,and were above the average level for Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)countries,African countries,and in the post-crisis era.Our research helps unravel the global significance of Chinese companies investing overseas and contributes to research on the growth effects of direct investment between developing countries.

Foreign Grain Security Mechanisms and Implications for China

With constant growth of China's population and increasingly serious situation of farmland protection,the grain security has become a hot issue of China.This study firstly elaborated grain security measures in grain exporters,such as the United States,Australia,and EU,and grain importers such as Japan,South Korea and India.In line with these security measures,it analyzed implementation background of these policies.Finally,combining social and economic development situations and natural resource endowment of China,it revealed the implications of these measures for China and came up with policy recommendations for China's grain security.

A Study on Trade Reliance of Creative Products： China as Compared With Developed and Developing Economies

The paper uses data from 2002 to 2011 to make an analysis on trade reliance of China, the top 10 developed countries and top 10 developing countries in products of creative industries. A cross country comparison is done from global, country groups, and individual country perspective respectively. The findings include that the global trade in creative industry is growing steadily in terms of both absolute value and relative value. The trade reliance of major countries in creative products is getting deeper. The trade pattern in creative industry is taking shape. China＇s future markets in creative products include developed countries and high income developing economies. In view of this development trend, China＇s producers should make necessary adjustment in their production and market strategy so that they will not miss the future opportunities.

发达国家城市更新的经验及对我国的启示

城市更新行动是我国推进城市高质量发展的重要抓手与路径,当前我国城市更新行动面临着政策执行协同不足、社会资本参与积极性不高、更新对象产权结构复杂等困境。本文通过梳理中外城市更新内涵演进过程,对比国内外城市更新行动特点,总结英国、美国、日本、德国、荷兰等发达国家开展城市更新行动的实践经验,提出现阶段我国推进城市更新行动的对策建议。

A Comparison of Elementary Foreign Language Programs in China and the USA

This study presents comparisons regarding current elementary foreign language programs in China and the USA.The design features a comparative analysis approach combined with deductive thematic analysis to collect,analyze,and compare relevant data.Data were collected from samples such as governmental documents,organizational guidelines,national statistical reports,published scholarly works,audiovisual materials,and textbooks.Preceding the research,primary categories were identified,used to group data,and then look for similarities and differences.Categories for comparison were:(a)program types,(b)curriculum standards,(c)instructional methods,and(d)assessments.Results indicated US programs could benefit from consistency,widespread support and demand,state-to-state organization and/or alignment,equitable teaching materials,and attention to all student populations.China's program,while organized,could benefit from more authentic,real-life-context,other-culture-oriented practices,flexibility,and deeper,genuine information about English-speaking countries’cultures.This research contributes to scholarly conversations regarding comparisons of elementary foreign language teaching in China and the USA,while also supporting worldwide comparisons and exchange of ideas.

China’s foreign direct investment in BRICS countries:status,problems and prospects

The emerging economies,represented by the BRICS,have risen rapidly in post-crisis era in both economic development and national competitiveness.In order to ensure a stable and sustainable long-term development of national economy,the governments of BRICS countries have shown positive attitude to foreign direct investment.This is a great opportunity for China to increase its direct investment in these countries,which will not only provide strong support to China’s“going global”strategy,but also help avoid risks arising from intensive investment in its traditional investment regions.This article focuses on the status of Chinese outward direct investment in the BRICS countries by analyzing existing problems in investment process and providing forecast as well as future agenda on China’s direct investment in these countries.

Gu Jiegang’s “Discussion of Ancient History” Movement and It Relationship with Developments in Western Sinology

The scholarship in modern China is closely related to Western sinology in terms of school ties.Gu Jiegang’s launching of the"Discussion of Ancient History"movement centered on the"theory of the accumulated creation of Chinese ancient history"was a representative example.At the beginning of the movement Hu Shi and Gu Jiegang proposed the notion that,"there was no history before the Eastern Zhou Dynasty"which was indebted to the historical skepticism by Philip Van Ness Myers(American scholar)and Friedrich Hirth(German sinologist)of the same period.The idea that"the Shang Dynasty is still in the late Stone Age"advocated by Hu and Gu was also directly influenced by J.G.Andersson’s An Early Chinese Culture.Conversely,American sinologist Arthur W.Hummel Sr played a key role in introducing and evaluating the first volume of Discussion of Ancient History to Western academia.Paradoxically,while Swedish sinologis Bernhard Karlgren wrote On the Authenticity and Nature of the Tso Chuan to refute Kang Youwei’s reinterpretation of Confucian Classics(The Forged Classics of the Wang Mang Period),his work however became of value for Chinese historic doubt scholars to reaffirm the value of New Text Confucianism and advance the"Discussion of Ancient History"movement.If we would like to choose a saying to describe the relationship between the"Discussion of Ancien History"movement and Western Sinology,the Chinese proverb,"Stones from other hills may serve to polish jade of this one,"may be an appropriate choice.

中外体育人文交流现状与运行机制研究

运用文献资料法和逻辑分析法,对中外体育人文交流的现状与运行机制进行研究。研究认为:中外体育人文交流的机制化水平不断提高,但缺乏宏观性战略引领;交流主体日益多元化,但非政府组织力量发挥不足;交流内容不断丰富,但创新性不够。笔者从动力机制、决策机制、执行机制和保障机制4个方面探究了中外体育人文交流的运行机制,并提出推进策略:宏观层面加强顶层设计,增强交流的驱动力;中观层面加强协同性,提升交流的决策力;微观层面强调多元化,形成交流的合力;注重交流质量,保障交流的有效供给。

中西比较视域下中国式现代化的独特优势与路径

在中西比较视域下,深入探讨了中国式现代化的独特优势及其为发展中国家提供的路径启示。通过对比分析英美、德法等西式现代化模式与中国式现代化的实践,揭示了中国式现代化在坚持独立自主、注重社会公平、强调政府主导等方面的独特优势。同时,进一步分析了这些优势对发展中国家实现现代化转型的借鉴意义,并提出了相应的路径建议。研究表明,中国式现代化为发展中国家探索符合自身国情的现代化道路提供了新的视角和思路。

比较视野下的中外科幻爱情片

作为类型电影,科幻片的特点是以科技为参照系,爱情片的特点是围绕婚恋关系来构思,科幻爱情片是它们彼此渗透的产物。与其他类型的爱情片相比,科幻爱情片的特色是以科技为参照系放飞想象,设想各种跨越天体界限、物种界限和人机界限的爱情,审视其可能性与不可能性。与其他类型的科幻片相比,科幻爱情片的特点是围绕婚恋关系展开时间想象、空间想象和末日想象。中西方科幻爱情片都打上了各自文化背景烙印。西方作品比较重视社会观念的表达,我国作品比较重视道德理想的弘扬。无论中方还是西方,科幻爱情片都重视科技与爱情的互动,其要旨是将未来科技发展(或科技反常应用)当成引子,表现对人性、人情、人类命运的关怀。

全球价值链重构下中国制造业分工地位测度及国际比较

全球价值链(GVC)重构背景下,如何明确中国制造业GVC分工地位的现实短板及动态变化,以在新一轮全球产业竞争中保持新的竞争优势。本文基于出口贸易增加值分解模型,利用OECD-ICIO数据库(2023)数据,测度了2000—2020年中国制造业整体及分行业的GVC地位,并进行了国际比较。研究发现:(1)虽然中国制造业出口结构在优化,在GVC中的地位有所上移,但仍无法扭转分工地位相对较低的局面。(2)中国制造业当前正处于GVC分工地位提升的阵痛期,劳动力的绝对低廉和技术的绝对高度均无优势。(3)从国际比较视角来看,无论是在金砖国家还是G7国家之间,中国制造业尚未摆脱“低端锁定”的困境,GVC分工地位仍存在较大的提升空间。因此,中国应重点关注与优势国家的发展差距,充分利用国内市场和内需优势,加大对“卡脖子”技术攻关的力度,找准提升GVC分工地位的路径。

中外医院绩效管理比较分析

目的对中外医院绩效管理进行比较分析,以期为我国医院绩效管理提供借鉴与参考。方法利用NVivo软件对CNKI、Web of Science数据库中国内外医院绩效管理相关文献分别进行内容质性比较分析。结果从“需求面-供给面-政策面”3个维度以及“宏观-中观-微观”3个层面分析我国与国外医院在绩效管理上的差异,发现国内外医院在绩效指标拟定、过程管理、外部评价、信息化程度、绩效工具应用等方面存在差异。结论我国医院绩效管理要关注患者的需求,适应卫生政策的变化,营造重视患者体验的绩效管理文化,完善以国考为导向的绩效评价体系,构建整合医院、科室和员工的绩效激励体系,不断推动公立医院绩效管理高质量发展。

中国与非洲阿拉伯国家的卫生发展合作研究

非洲阿拉伯国家长期整体医疗水平不高,每个国家面临的医疗卫生问题背后成因各不相同,深受各自社会状况的影响。医疗卫生情况具有多样性、复杂性和复合性的特点。在当前全球一体化深入发展的背景下,世界各国人民的命运紧密相连,医疗卫生问题越来越受到国际社会的重视。本文聚焦于以非洲阿拉伯十国为中心的中阿卫生发展合作,从非洲阿拉伯国家医疗卫生治理的问题与特点出发,深入探讨中国参与非洲阿拉伯国家卫生发展合作的理论基础与现实意义。文章系统性地回顾了中国与非洲阿拉伯国家60年卫生发展合作历程,并特别关注双方医疗合作中的重点领域——中医药在卫生发展合作中的实践情况,旨在积极探索双方卫生发展合作支持途径,为中阿卫生发展合作的现状和未来发展提供积极建议。

中美英政府数据授权运营的进展比较及启示:管理体系、运作模式和保障机制

政府数据授权运营是政府数据开放的有益补充,推动政府数据从共享开放到授权运营可以有效盘活数字政府公共数据资源要素,也是驱动经济社会高质量发展、探索政府数据市场化配置的可行路径。采用文献分析法、内容分析法和比较分析法,分别从管理体系、运作模式和保障机制3个方面对中美英政府数据授权运营的进展进行了调研梳理和分析比较。研究结果表明,美英国家在政府数据授权运营上较早开展了研究和实践,并积累了丰富经验,而我国相比之下还存在一些不足,具体表现为缺乏完善的管理体系、运作模式不够成熟、保障机制不够健全、尚未搭建统一的平台等。基于此,提出推进我国政府数据授权运营工作的若干建议。

城市更新背景下公共艺术建设机制中外比较研究

公共艺术作为城市文化的重要载体,其建设机制受到世界各国的重视。由于历史背景、文化差异、经济发展水平和政治体制的不同,中外公共艺术建设机制在实际操作中呈现出不同的特征。在中国实施城市更新战略的背景下,本文从管理机构和政策、资金和赞助、作品征集和评审、实施和维护等方面,分析和比较了中外公共艺术建设机制的发展现状和各自特点。这对我们提升中国公共艺术建设管理水平,促进公共艺术持续健康发展,赋能城市更新战略具有重要的价值和意义。
