A Low Complexity VCS Method for PAPR Reduction in Multicarrier Code Division Multiple Access

This paper investigates a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction method in multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system. Variable code sets (VCS), a spreading codes selection scheme, can improve the PAPR property of the MC-CDMA signals, but this technique requires an exhaustive search over the combinations of spreading code sets. It is observed that when the number of active users increases, the search complexity will increase exponentially. Based on this fact, we propose a low complexity VCS (LC-VCS) method to reduce the computational complexity. The basic idea of LC-VCS is to derive new signals using the relationship between candidature signals. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can reduce PAPR with lower comtational pucomplexity. In addition, it can be blindly received without any side information. 展开更多

The strength of composite plate with different hole-shapes is always one of the most important but complicated issues in the application of the composite material. The holes will lead to mutations and discontinuity to the structure. So the hole-edge stress concentration is always a serious phenomenon. And the phenomenon makes the structure strength decrease very quickly to form dangerous weak points. Most partial damage begins from these weak points. According to the complex variable functions theory, the accurate boundary condition of composite plate with different hole-shapes is founded by conformal mapping method to settle the boundary condition problem of complex hole-shapes. Composite plate with commonly hole-shapes in engineering is studied by several complex variable stress fimction. The boundary integral equations are founded based on exact boundary conditions. Then the exact hole-edge stress analytic solution of composite plate with rectangle holes and wing manholes is resolved. Both of offset axis loadings and its influences on the stress concentration coefficient of the hole-edge are discussed. And comparisons of different loads along various offset axis on the hole-edge stress distribution of orthotropic plate with rectangle hole or wing manhole are made. It can be concluded that hole-edge with continuous variable curvatures might help to decrease the stress concentration coefficient; and smaller angle of outer load and fiber can decrease the stress peak value. 展开更多

The driving voltage of an organic light-emitting diode(OLED) is lowered by employing molybdenum trioxide(MoO3)/N,N'-bis(naphthalene-1-yl)-N,N'-bis(phe-nyl)-benzidine(NPB) multiple quantum well(MQW) structure in the hole transport layer.For the device with double quantum well(DQW) structure of ITO/[MoO3(2.5 nm)/NPB(20 nm)]2/Alq3(50 nm)/LiF(0.8 nm)/Al(120 nm)],the turn-on voltage is reduced to 2.8 V,which is lowered by 0.4 V compared with that of the control device(without MQW structures),and the driving voltage is 5.6 V,which is reduced by 1 V compared with that of the control device at the 1000 cd/m2.In this work,the enhancement of the injection and transport ability for holes could reduce the driving voltage for the device with MQW structure,which is attributed not only to the reduced energy barrier between ITO and NPB,but also to the forming charge transfer complex between MoO3 and NPB induced by the interfacial doping effect of MoO3. 展开更多

In this paper,we analyze the extended Bogoyavlenskii-Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(eBKP)equation utilizing the condensed Hirota's approach.In accordance with a logarithmic derivative transform,we produce solutions for single,double,and triple M-lump waves.Additionally,we investigate the interaction solutions of a single M-lump with a single soliton,a single M-lump with a double soliton,and a double M-lump with a single soliton.Furthermore,we create sophisticated single,double,and triple complex soliton wave solutions.The extended Bogoyavlenskii-Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation describes nonlinear wave phenomena in fluid mechanics,plasma,and shallow water theory.By selecting appropriate values for the related free parameters we also create three-dimensional surfaces and associated counter plots to simulate the dynamical characteristics of the solutions offered. 展开更多

Traditional cryptographic research is mainly bas... Ant Colony Optimization (AGO) has the character of positive feedback, distributed searching, and greedy searching. It is applicable to optimization grouping problems. Traditional cryptographic research is mainly based on pure mathematical methods which have complicated theories and algorithm. It seems that there is no relationship between cryptography and ACO. Actually, some problems in cryptography are due to optimization grouping problems that could be improved using an evolutionary algorithm. Therefore, this paper presents a new method of solving secure curve selection problems using ACO. We improved Complex Multiplication (CM) by combining Evolutionary Cryptography Theory with Weber polynomial solutions. We found that ACO makes full use of valid information generated from factorization and allocates computing resource reasonably. It greatly increases the performance of Weber polynomial solutions. Compared with traditional CM, which can only search one root once time, our new method searches all roots of the polynomial once, and the average time needed to search for one root reduces rapidly. The more roots are searched, the more ECs are obtained. 展开更多

A control strategy of frequency self-adaptation without phase-locked loop(PLL)underαβstationary reference frame(αβ-SRF)for a VSC-HVDC system is presented to improve the operational performance of the system under severe harmonic distortion conditions.The control strategy helps to eliminate the cross-coupling under dq synchronous reference frame(dq-SRF),and is achieved through two key technologies:1)positive phase sequence(PPS)and negative phase sequence(NPS)fundamental components are extracted from the AC grid voltage with an improved multiple complex coefficient filter(IMCF),and 2)grid instantaneous frequency is rapidly and precisely tracked using a frequency self-adaptation tracking algorithm(FATA)without PLL.The proposed strategy is applied to a point-to-point VSCHVDC system and validated by means of simulations.The results are compared to those with the traditional vector control strategy under dq-SRF.Simulation results illustrate that the proposed strategy results in better system performance than that with the traditional strategy in terms of harmonic suppression under normal and severe operating conditions of the AC system. 展开更多
