This article aims to identify the partial topological structures of delayed complex network.Based on the drive-response concept,a more universal model,which includes nonlinear couplings,stochastic perturbations and mu...This article aims to identify the partial topological structures of delayed complex network.Based on the drive-response concept,a more universal model,which includes nonlinear couplings,stochastic perturbations and multi-weights,is considered into drive-response networks.Different from previous methods,we obtain identification criteria by combining graph-theoretic method and adaptive synchronization.After that,the partial topological structures of stochastic multi-weighted complex networks with or without time delays can be identified successfully.Moreover,response network can reach synchronization with drive network.Ultimately,the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results is validated through numerical simulations.展开更多

Based on the stability theorem of fractional-order differential system and the adaptive control technique, a novel and general method is proposed to address this challenge. This paper deals with the co-design problem of event-triggered communication scheduling and platooning control over vehicular ad-hoc networks(VANETs)subject to finite communication resource.First,a unified model is pr...This paper deals with the co-design problem of event-triggered communication scheduling and platooning control over vehicular ad-hoc networks(VANETs)subject to finite communication resource.First,a unified model is presented to describe the coordinated platoon behavior of leader-follower vehicles in the simultaneous presence of unknown external disturbances and an unknown leader control input.Under such a platoon model,the central aim is to achieve robust platoon formation tracking with desired inter-vehicle spacing and same velocities and accelerations guided by the leader,while attaining improved communication efficiency.Toward this aim,a novel bandwidth-aware dynamic event-triggered scheduling mechanism is developed.One salient feature of the scheduling mechanism is that the threshold parameter in the triggering law is dynamically adjusted over time based on both vehicular state variations and bandwidth status.Then,a sufficient condition for platoon control system stability and performance analysis as well as a co-design criterion of the admissible event-triggered platooning control law and the desired scheduling mechanism are derived.Finally,simulation results are provided to substantiate the effectiveness and merits of the proposed co-design approach for guaranteeing a trade-off between robust platooning control performance and communication efficiency.展开更多
How to design an energy-efficient algorithm to maximize the network lifetime in complicated scenarios is a critical problem for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks(HWSN).In this paper, a clustering-tree topology co...How to design an energy-efficient algorithm to maximize the network lifetime in complicated scenarios is a critical problem for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks(HWSN).In this paper, a clustering-tree topology control algorithm based on the energy forecast(CTEF) is proposed for saving energy and ensuring network load balancing, while considering the link quality, packet loss rate, etc. In CTEF, the average energy of the network is accurately predicted per round(the lifetime of the network is denoted by rounds) in terms of the difference between the ideal and actual average residual energy using central limit theorem and normal distribution mechanism, simultaneously. On this basis, cluster heads are selected by cost function(including the energy, link quality and packet loss rate) and their distance.The non-cluster heads are determined to join the cluster through the energy, distance and link quality. Furthermore, several noncluster heads in each cluster are chosen as the relay nodes for transmitting data through multi-hop communication to decrease the load of each cluster-head and prolong the lifetime of the network. The simulation results show the efficiency of CTEF. Compared with low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy(LEACH), energy dissipation forecast and clustering management(EDFCM) and efficient and dynamic clustering scheme(EDCS)protocols, CTEF has longer network lifetime and receives more data packets at base station.展开更多

SIN(Space Information Network)has recently emerged as a promising approach to solving the collaboration difficulty among current space programs.However,because of the SIN’s large scale,high component complexity,and d...SIN(Space Information Network)has recently emerged as a promising approach to solving the collaboration difficulty among current space programs.However,because of the SIN’s large scale,high component complexity,and dynamic characteristics,designing a proper SIN architecture is challenging.Firstly,we propose a novel SIN architecture,which is composed of GEO(Geostationary Earth Orbit)satellites as backbone network nodes,LEO(Low Earth Orbit)or other types of satellites as enhanced coverage nodes,and high-altitude platforms to meet the service requirements of emergency or hot-spot applications.Unlike most existing studies,the proposed architecture is AS(Autonomous-System)based.We decouple the complex SIN into simpler sub-networks using a hierarchical AS model.Then,we propose a topology control algorithm to minimize the time delay among sub-AS networks.We prove that the proposed algorithm achieves logical k-connectivity provided that the original physical topology has k-connectivity.Simulation results validate the theoretic analysis and effectiveness of the algorithm.展开更多

Many modern critical infrast...Complex cyber-physical network refers to a new generation of complex networks whose normal functioning significantly relies on tight interactions between its physical and cyber components. Many modern critical infrastructures can be appropriately modelled as complex cyber-physical networks. Typical examples of such infrastructures are electrical power grids, WWW, public transportation systems, state financial networks, and the Internet. These critical facilities play important roles in ensuring the stability of society as well as the development of economy. Advances in information and communication technology open opportunities for malicious attackers to launch coordinated attacks on cyber-physical critical facilities in networked infrastructures from any Internet-accessible place. Cybersecurity of complex cyber-physical networks has emerged as a hot topic within this context. In practice, it is also very crucial to understand the interplay between the evolution of underlying network structures and the collective dynamics on these complex networks and consequently to design efficient security control strategies to protect the evolution of these networks. In this paper, cybersecurity of complex cyber-physical networks is first outlined and then some security enhancing techniques,with particular emphasis on safety communications, attack detection and fault-tolerant control, are suggested. Furthermore, a new class of efficient secure control strategies are proposed for guaranteeing the achievement of desirable pinning synchronization behaviors in complex cyber-physical networks against malicious attacks on nodes. The authors hope that this paper motivates to design enhanced security strategies for complex cyber-physical network systems, to realize resilient and secure critical infrastructures.展开更多

A net model of formation of mathematical knowledge as a deductive theory is suggested here. Within this model the formation of deductive theory is represented as the development of a certain informational space, the elements of which are structured in the form of the orientated semantic net. This net is properly metrized and characterized by a certain system of coverings. It allows injecting net optimization parameters, regulating qualitative aspects of knowledge system under consideration. To regulate the creative processes of the formation and realization of mathematical know- edge, stochastic model of formation deductive theory is suggested here in the form of branching Markovian process, which is realized in the corresponding informational space as a semantic net. According to this stochastic model we can get correct foundation of criterion of optimization creative processes that leads to “great main points” strategy (GMP-strategy) in the process of realization of the effective control in the research work in the sphere of mathematics and its applications.展开更多
