Low-cost multistoried rental housing (rumah susun sederhana sewa, abbreviated to rusunawa) recently has become the main policy for the Indonesian government to provide adequate housing for low income people in the metropolitan areas. In line with the policy, the government in the year 2005 has raised the technical life of building for low-cost multistoried rental housing from 30 years to 50 years. This study is conducted to assess variables that affect the technical life of architectural components, using Delphi study method involving stakeholders who have participated in the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of low-cost multistoried rental housing in Jakarta. Research findings contribute significantly to the assurance of technical life of architectural components in low-cost multistoried rental housing in Indonesia. 展开更多

It is discussed with the design and implementation of an architecture for a mobile robot to navigate in dynamic and anknown indoor environments. The architecture is based on the framework of Open Robot Control Software at KTH (OROCOS@KTH), which is also discussed and evaluated to navigate indoor efficiently, a new algorithm named door-like-exit detection is proposed which employs 2D feature oft. door and extracts key points of pathway from the raw data of a laser scanner. As a hybrid architecture, it is decomposed into several basic components which can be classified as either deliberative or reactive. Toward an SCA-OSGi based Middleware for Radio Frequency Identification Applications

The radio frequency identification (RFID) technology progressing is becoming a increasing interest in several application areas. To accommodate diverse and changing requirements from applications,RFID middleware should be reconfigurable. However,current RFID middleware is limited in its ability to support reconfiguration. To solve this problem,we adopt the service-oriented component-based approach in building the middleware. Component-based design enables decomposition of middleware functionality and is easier than the current one to manage and modify the structure of the middleware both statically and dynamically. Applying service-oriented architecture (SOA) can further reduce the coupling between components and external software and ease the integration between middleware and applications. We propose a two-layered service component architecture (SCA) open service gateway initiative (OSGi) component model so as to enable reconfigurability. Based on the proposed component model,we build a standard-based RFID middleware-SCA-OSGi based RFID middleware (SORM) which supports flexible deployment topologies and reconfigurability.
