The results proved that with the increase in the percentage of nanoparticles(from 2wt% to 6wt%), the amount of porosity(from 1vol% to 4.7vol%), unmelted particles, and roughness of the coatings(from 4.8 to 8.8 μm) increased, and the bonding strength decreased from 71 to 48 MPa. The thicknesses of the thermally grown oxide layer of pure and composite coatings(2wt%, 4wt%, and 6wt%) after 400 h oxidation were measured as 6.5, 5.5, 7.6, and 8.1 μm, respectively. The CoNiCrAlY–2wt% Al_(2)O_(3)coating showed the highest oxidation resistance due to the diffusion barrier effect of well-dispersed nanoparticles. The CoNiCrAlY–6wt% Al_(2)O_(3)coating had the lowest oxidation resistance due to its rough surface morphology and porous microstructure.展开更多

In this study, poly (ether sulfone) (PES) support layer was first hydrophilically modified with poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) via surface segregation during the phase inversion process. Gelatin (GE) was then cast on the PVA-modified PES support layer as the active layer followed by crosslinking to fabricate composite membranes for ethanol dehydration. The enrichment of PVA on the surface of support layer improved interfacial compatibility of the as-prepared GE/PVA-PES composite membrane. The water contact angle measurement and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) data confirmed the surface segregation of PVA with a surface coverage density of -80%. T-peel test showed that the maxima/force to separate the support layer and the active layer was enhanced by 3 times compared with the GE/PES membrane. The effects of PVA content in the support layer, crosslinking of GE active layer and operating parameters on the pervaporative dehydration performance were investigated. The operational stability of the composite membrane was tested by immersing the membrane in ethanol aqueous solution for a period of time. Stable pervaporation performance for dehydration of 90% ethanol solution was obtained for GE/PVA-PES membrane with a separation factor of -60 and a permeation flux of -1910 g.m^-2.h1 without peeling over 28 days immersion.展开更多

The tribological performances of the composite coatings under dry condition were investigated in comparison with 45 steel and conventional Ni-P coating, Micrographs show that short MWNTs with uniform length and open tips were obtained through the wet-milling process. The results of wear test reveal that the Ni-P-MWNTs composite coatings posses much better friction reduction and anti-wear performances when compared with 45 steel and Ni-P coating. Within the MWNTs content range of 0.74%-1.97%, the friction coefficient and the volume wear rate of the composite coatings decrease gradually and reach the minimum values of 0.08 and 6.22x10-15 m3/(N.m), respectively. The excellent tribological performances of the composite coatings can be attributed to the introduction of MWNTs, which play both roles of reinforcements and solid lubricant during the wear process.展开更多

Its microstructure, phase composition, micro-hardness, corrosion resistance in 3.5% NaC1 solution and wear resistance were analyzed. The results suggest that the TiN-matrix composite coating is well bonded with the substrate. The micro-hardness measured decreases with the increase of applied test loads. And the micro-hardness of the coating under heavy loads is relatively high. The TiN-matrix composite coating exhibits an excellent corrosion resistance in 3.5% NaC1 solution. The corrosion potential of coating is positive and the passivation zone is broad, which indicates that the TiN-matrix composite coating is stable in the electrolyte and provides excellent protection to the substrate. The wear coefficient of the coating under all loads maintains at 0.49-0.50. The wear mechanism of the coating is revealed to be three-body abrasive wear. Yet the failure forms of TiN-matrix composite coating under different loads have an obvious difference. The failure form of coating under light loads is particle spallation due to the stress concentration while that of coating under heavy loads is crackin~ between inter-lamellae.展开更多

文摘A lightweight flexible thermally stable composite is fabricated by com-bining silica nanofiber membranes(SNM)with MXene@c-MWCNT hybrid film. The flexible SNM with outstanding thermal insulation are prepared from tetraethyl orthosilicate hydrolysis and condensation by electrospinning and high-temperature calcination;the MXene@c-MWCNT_(x:y)films are prepared by vacuum filtration tech-nology.In particular, the SNM and MXene@c-MWCNT_(6:4)as one unit layer(SMC_(1))are bonded together with 5 wt%polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)solution, which exhibits low thermal conductivity(0.066 W m^(-1)K^(-1))and good electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding performance(average EMI SE_(T),37.8 dB).With the increase in func-tional unit layer, the overall thermal insulation performance of the whole composite film(SMC_(x))remains stable, and EMI shielding performance is greatly improved, especially for SMC_(3)with three unit layers, the average EMI SET is as high as 55.4 dB.In addition, the organic combination of rigid SNM and tough MXene@c-MWCNT_(6:4)makes SMC_(x)exhibit good mechanical tensile strength.Importantly,SMC_(x)exhibit stable EMI shielding and excellent thermal insulation even in extreme heat and cold environment. Therefore, this work provides a novel design idea and important reference value for EMI shielding and thermal insulation components used in extreme environmental protection equipment in the future.

文摘High-performance proton exchange membranes are of great importance for fuel cells. Here,we have synthesized polycarboxylate plasticizer modified MIL-101-Cr-NH_(2)(PCP-MCN),a kind of hybrid metal-organic framework, which exhibits a superior proton conductivity.PCP-MCN nanoparticles are used as additives to fabricate PCP-MCN/Nafion composite membranes.Microstructures and characteristics of PCP-MCN and these membranes have been extensively investigated.Significant enhancement in proton conduction for PCP-MCN around 55℃ is interestingly found due to the thermal motion of the PCP molecular chains.Robust mechanical properties and higher thermal decomposition temperature of the composite membranes are directly ascribed to strong intermolecular interactions between PCP-MCN and Nafion side chains,i.e.,the formation of substantial acid–base pairs(-SO_(3)^(-)…^(+)H–NH-),which further improves compatibility between additive and Nafion matrix. At the same humidity and temperature condition, the water uptake of composite membranes significantly increases due to the incorporation of porous additives with abundant functional groups and thus less crystallinity degree in comparison to pristine Nafion.Proton conductivity(σ)over wide ranges of humidities(30-100%RH at 25℃)and temperatures(30-98℃ at 100%RH)for prepared membranes is measured. The s in PCPMCN/Nafion composite membranes is remarkably enhanced,i.e.0.245 S/cm for PCP-MCN-3wt.%/Nafion is twice that of Nafion membrane at 98℃ and 100%RH,because of the establishment of well-interconnected proton transport ionic water channels and perhaps faster protonation–deprotonation processes. The composite membranes possess weak humidity-dependence of proton transport and higher water uptake due to excellent water retention ability of PCP-MCN.In particular, when 3 wt.%PCP-MCN was added to Nafion, the power density of a single-cell fabricated with this composite membrane reaches impressively 0.480,1.098 W/cm^(2) under 40%RH,100%RH at 60℃,respectively,guaranteeing it to be a promising proton exchange membrane.

文摘Magnesium(Mg)alloys, the lightest metal construction material used in industry, play a vital role in future development. However, the poor corrosion resistance of Mg alloys in corrosion environments largely limits their potential wide applications. Therefore,a micro-arc oxidation/graphene oxide/stearic acid(MAO/GO/SA)superhydrophobic composite coating with superior corrosion resistance was fabricated on a Mg alloy AZ91D through micro-arc oxidation(MAO)technology, electrodeposition technique, and self-assembly technology. The composition and microstructure of the coating were characterized by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy. The effective protection of the MAO/GO/SA composite coating applied to a substrate was evaluated using potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests, and salt spray tests. The results showed that the MAO/GO/SA composite coating with a petal spherical structure had the best superhydrophobicity, and it attained a contact angle of 159.53°±2°.The MAO/GO/SA composite coating exhibited high resistance to corrosion, according to electrochemical and salt spray tests.

文摘Mg alloys are considered the most promising engineering materials because of their unique properties. However, the uncontrolled corrosion rate of these alloys limits their applications. Therefore,in this study,a micro-arc oxidation layer was used as a transition layer to“directly”grow a zinc-based metal-organic framework(MOF)composite coating on the surface of a Mg alloy(AZ91D).Herein,the two zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF-8)coatings with different morphologies were separately prepared by homologous metal oxide induction and a one-step in-situ growth method. The superhydrophobic composite coating showed strong hydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties, which could prevent the penetration of water and corrosive ions(Cl^(−))into the surface of AZ91D.Electrochemical tests demonstrated that the super-hydrophobic composite coatings greatly enhanced the corrosion resistance of AZ91D,and the corrosion current density decreased from 10^(−5)to 10^(−9)A/cm^(2).These results indicate that the ZIF-8 coatings are beneficial for improving the hydrophobicity and enhancing the corrosion resistance of Mg alloys. Therefore,MOF composite coatings provide a new strategy that can be used to prepare multifunctional anticorrosion coatings on metal substrates.

文摘BNi-2/WC composite wear-resisting coating was prepared on carbon steel by the method of induction brazing. The microstructure and phase composition of the composite coating were analyzed, and the bonding strength and wear-resisting performance of the coating were tested.During the process of induction brazing, the tungsten carbide partially dissolves and reacts with the filler metal alloy to form NiW compound phase, which realizes the metallurgical combination of tungsten carbide and filler metal alloy. The matrix of the filler metal alloy consists of Ni solid solution and Ni_(3)B/Ni_(3)Si eutectic phase, and the metallurgical diffusion reaction occurs between the filler metal alloy and the steel matrix. The mechanical analysis results show that the self-strength of the composite coating reaches 140 MPa and the bonding strength of the filler metal alloy to the steel matrix reaches 360 MPa.The dry sand rubber wheel wear testing machine showed that the coating weight loss was only 0.2824 g,which was only 1/5 of the weight loss of 65 Mn matrix under the same conditions.
文摘Satellited CoNiCrAlY–Al_(2)O_(3)feedstocks with 2wt%, 4wt%, and 6wt% oxide nanoparticles and pure CoNiCrAlY powder were deposited by the high-velocity oxy fuel process on an Inconel738 superalloy substrate. The oxidation test was performed at 1050℃ for 5, 50, 100,150, 200, and 400 h. The microstructure and phase composition of powders and coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The bonding strength of the coatings was also evaluated. The CoNiCrAlY–6wt% Al_(2)O_(3)coating had the lowest oxidation resistance due to its rough surface morphology and porous microstructure.

文摘MIL-101(Cr)is a promising moisture absorbent for solar-driven water harvesting from moisture to tackle the worldwide water shortage issue. However, the MIL-101(Cr)powder suffers from a long ab/desorption cycle due to the crystal aggregation caused by its inherent powder properties. Here,we demonstrate a MIL-101(Cr)nanofibrous composite membrane with a nanofibrous matrix where MIL-101(Cr)is monodisperse in the 3D porous nanofibrous matrix through a simple spray-electrospinning strategy. The continuous porous nanofibrous matrix not only offers sufficient sites for MIL-101(Cr)loading but also provides rapid moisture transport channels, resulting in a super-rapid ab/desorption duration of 50 min(including an absorption process for 40 min and a desorption process for 10 min)and multicycle daily water production of 15.9 L kg^(−1) d^(−1).Besides,the MIL-101(Cr)nanofibrous composite membrane establishes a high solar absorption of 92.8%,and excellent photothermal conversion with the surface temperature of 70.7°C under one-sun irradiation. In addition, the MIL-101(Cr)nanofibrous composite membrane shows excellent potential for practical application due to its flexibility, portability, and use stability. This work provides a new perspective of shortening MOF ab/desorption duration by introducing a porous nanofibrous matrix to improve the specific water production for the solar-driven ab/desorption water harvesting technique.

文摘Cu-Mn_(3)O_(4)composite coating was prepared on the SUS 430 ferritic stainless steel by electrodeposition and then exposed in air at 800℃corresponding to the cathode atmosphere of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC).A dual-layer oxide structure mainly comprising an external layer of CuO followed by(Cu,Mn,Fe)_(3)O_(4)spinel and an internal layer of Cr-rich oxide was thermally developed on the coated steel. The scale area-specific resistances(ASRs)of the coated steels were lower than the scale ASR of the uncoated steel after identical thermal exposure. The external layer of CuO/(Cu,Mn,Fe)_(3)O_(4)spinel not only served as a barrier to reduce the growth rate of Cr-rich oxide internal layer and to suppress the outward diffusion of Cr,but also lowered the surface scale ASRs considerably.

文摘The interfacial compatibility of composite membrane is an important factor to its structural stability, andseparation performance. Stable pervaporation performance for dehydration of 90% ethanol solution was obtained for GE/PVA-PES membrane with a separation factor of -60 and a permeation flux of -1910 g.m^-2.h1 without peeling over 28 days immersion.

文摘Hydrophilic modification is a promising method to inhibit fouling formation on ultrafiltration membrane. In this work, different mass concentrations(1%–16%)of hydrophilic polyvinylpyrrolidone were incorporated into polyethersulfone(PES)membranes fabricated by none-solvent induced phase separation. Then, polydopamine(PDA)coating on the surface of prepared membrane was carried out at pH 8.5.The morphology and structure, surface hydrophilicity, permeation flux,BSA rejection, antifouling and stability performances of PES and PDA/PES modified membranes were investigated in detail. The results indicated that PDA was successfully attached onto the membranes.Membrane hydrophilicity was evaluated by water contact angle measurement. The contact angles of modified membranes reduced remarkably, suggesting that the membrane hydrophilicities were significantly increased. The results of filtration tests, which were done by dead-end filtration of bovine serum albumin solution, showed that the properties of permeability and fouling resistance were obviously improved by PDA modification. When polyvinylpyrrolidone mass content reached 10%,flux recovery ratio of modified membrane was up to91.23%,and its BSA rejection were over 70%.The results of stability tests showed that the modified membranes had good mechanical stability and chemical stability. This facile fabrication procedure and outstanding performances suggested that the modified membranes had a potential in treating fouling.
文摘In order to reduce the friction coefficient of Ni-base alloy coating and further improve its wear resistance,Ni-base alloy composite coatings modified by both graphite and TiC particles were prepared by plasma spray technology on the surface of 45 carbon steel. The results show that friction coefficient of the composite coating is 47.45% lower than that of the Ni-base alloy coating, and the wear mass loss is reduced by 59.1%.Slip lines and severe adhesive plastic deformation are observed on the worn surface of the Ni-base alloy coating, indicating that the wear mechanisms of the Ni-base alloy coating are multi-plastic deformation wear and adhesive wear.A soft transferred layer abundant in graphite and ferric oxide is developed on the worn surface of the composite coating, which reduces the friction coefficient and wear loss in a great deal. The main wear mechanism of the composite coating is fatigue delamination of the transferred layer.

文摘A novel SiC?ZrB2 coating was prepared using a two-step technique by slurry-sintering and chemical vapor reaction on carbon/carbon (C/C) composites. The SiC?ZrB2 coating was composed of the scattered ZrB2 phase and the continuous SiC phase. It was observed that a good adhesion was built between the coating and the C/C composites. The SiC?ZrB2 coating samples exhibited a better ablation resistance in comparison with the uncoated C/C composites. The SiO2?ZrO2 barrier layer, the heat dissipation of the gaseous products and the pinning effect of ZrO2 all contributed to the good ablation resistance of the SiC?ZrB2 coated composites.

文摘Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were wet-milled in the presence of ammonia and cationic surfactant and then used as reinforcements to prepare Ni-P-MWNTs composite coatings by electroless plating. The excellent tribological performances of the composite coatings can be attributed to the introduction of MWNTs, which play both roles of reinforcements and solid lubricant during the wear process.

文摘TiN-matrix composite coating was prepared on 45# steel by reactive high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying. The failure form of coating under light loads is particle spallation due to the stress concentration while that of coating under heavy loads is crackin~ between inter-lamellae.
